I first found out about Pamana Plantas on social media a few years ago and loved the visual vibe of the store and wanted to support local, Filipino business owners. The plants there are beautiful, and the owner (Dom) has the friendliest dog and bunny to keep you company during your shopping trip. I've bought a few plants from there over the years, and she usually gives a few tips for your plant before you leave (or a warning if they're more temperamental). Last year, we were going to try to bulk order plants from Pamana Plantas for our wedding, but to our surprise found out that they provide event services! We were able to work with Dom to design centerpieces and an altar for our wedding. We had given her really vague guidelines to what we wanted and some of our color schemes, and she was able to create a mood board and help us pin down our vision. She was so easy to work with and helped us stay in budget by offering multiple solutions at different price points between purchasing and renting. Pamana Plantas has seriously become one of my favorite plant shops in the Bay. Filipino and family-owned, with amazing presentation and great service. Dom is super sweet and so fun to talk to. Their sticker selection is a solid 10/10--so cute. The plants are great quality and absolutely worth the price. We went for the tea party at Pamana Plantas. We had a nice time. The lady that runs the shop, Dom is really sweet. The selection of plants they have is amazing and cute little trinkets. We love that the bunny Rica is available for scratching. We had a little bit of disappointment with the tea party though because it's advertise as a Filipino tea party, but really it didn't have that much Filipino food. There was a Ube pudding cheesecake type dessert which was phenomenal and maybe the cream puff was Filipino because it had coconut in it I'm not sure but I just was hoping we're expecting to have like Filipino food, not cream cheese and cucumber sandwich sandwiches or chicken salad sandwich. I wanted an authentic Filipino food experience so that was a disappointment and also they didn't have Filipino drinks, which I thought would've been nice. Not even a Filipino tea just Eleanor Tea (earl grey) and some random tea leaves. It was a really cramped space as she had set up a table with benches and so it wasn't the most comfortable situation, but it was decorated so beautifully. She did such a wonderful job with it down to the pressed flower name tags, which had a really nice touch. I don't know. I just was disappointed because I really wanted to try Filipino food. Filipino inspired tea party for my niece's baby shower held at Panama Plantas. Dom, the owner, shows her love for hosting and plants. The tablescape was beautiful as we dined off banana leaves, drank out of colorful tea cups, and were surrounded by lush greenery. The sandwiches, scones, bibingka bites were all tasty. We had a wide selection of teas to choose from including gulaman tea which tasted like boba. We shopped for plants, coasters, and tea afterwards. I booked a tea service for me and my family. I had a dozen questions and sent several emails, and they responded to each with helpful info. On the day of, it was a pleasure to have Dom host us. She is friendly, personable and down-to-earth. I wanted my family to have an elegant experience rooted in our Filipino culture, and her hospitality (and showing nuances of Filipino etiquette!) made an impact as much as the beautiful setting. Reserving a private party is not something I can afford often, but they also have twice/month community tea parties that you can join with a friend and is more affordable. The plant shop was closed since it was a weekend, but did a peek inside and the plants selection looked nice and interesting and worth checking out. 10/10 I definitely recommend :) read more

Bought a sage bundle and some stickers as gifts for some friends. The price is on the higher end, but it's comparable to other stores in the area and in other similar areas such as Piedmont/College. Dom, the owner, is very eager to help, and I love the curation of goods her store offers, from stationary to plants to books! Something that struck me about her store was the area she has dedicated to her uncle--we had a short conversation about her uncle and how he influences and inspires her in her current work. If you are fond of everything plants, this quaint plant shop is one to go visit. There are endless plants to admire and chose from (take those green babies home!) and meet Dom....she's so nice...PLANT VIBES!!! We walked in on a Saturday later after and a tea event ran over. It did not stop us from checking things out. While you're inside, look up! You'll see plants hanging that will just make you smie I took home a couple of plant babies and coasters!! The most dainty yet beautiful plant stop I've ever been to. It is a Filipino legacy inspired plant shop which I appreciate so much being a Filipina myself. There were a bunch of photos and trinkets displayed all over the shop that showcase the beauties of the motherland. Plants are sorted by light levels, and you can tell they are all well-taken care of and loved. Bought my first 4" Zz plant here and cannot wait to watch it grow :') They also have plant hangers, stickers, coasters, and a bunch of other plant accessories! & lastly (and most importantly) they have a really cool DIY repotting station outside! I believe it is only $2 to repot into the same size, and gradually goes up if you upsize to a bigger pot. read more

This is a review for Pamana Plantas as a sustainable decor and plant rental vendor for a wedding, though we would also echo all the 5-star reviews about the shop as well! She created our wedding centerpieces, altar, boutonnieres, and bouquets. Dom absolutely blew us away. She held a meeting with us to learn more/help us figure out our vision through discussion and photos. She made a beautiful mood board for us, which also included all the proposed costs for transparency. She was also incredibly flexible when we developed new ideas after our initial meeting, and adjusted the costs accordingly. I like walking around places with a lot of greenery. Pamana Plantas is a small business, and they have a small shop. They pack as much greenery as possible into the space, and so their stock is chosen very carefully, and well cared for. Even when I walk around bigger places with more different plants, I almost never buy anything, because I don't know anything about plants, so usually money spent on plants is wasted. Because it's not like a lot of these places can explain plant care very well. I first went into Pamana Plantas out of curiosity, and explained to the owner that I kill plants. She made suggestions and gave me very simple instructions. Weeks later, my philodendron is doing well. And it's been joined by more plants of different kinds. Honestly most of the time I stop in it's because I'm shopping or running errands and I just want to greet the dog and look at stickers. It's like this tiny green island of calm. So far the fact I accidentally buy plants sometimes while looking at stickers hasn't been a problem. I mean I get stickers too - they're super cute. read more

This little shop really does pack a ton of amazing plants, gifts, and excellent service. Dom was awesome, friendly, and very kind. From the moment that I walked in, she was welcoming (as well as her pup) and as a small family business and Filipino owned I knew that I needed to visit. Street parking can be difficult but I was fortunate to catch a space up front. The shop is small but has a large variety of plants from common house , to exotic, and collector plants. There was a few Thai Constellations, PPP, White knights, and many more. All the plants were in great condition and well taken care of so no matter what plant you're looking for, I'm sure the quality will be stellar. I was stuck between three heart shaped pothos and Dom was able to bring them all down for me to view. I ended up with a full, luscious pothos, a baby monstera (variegated), and a pink arrowhead. She has created a sweet, lush, magical space replete with beautiful plants, cool pots, organic plant care goodies, a sweet dog and fluffy bunnies! This is a very cute business that is located in Albany. I had walked by it several times and was in too much of a hurry to go inside. However, when I went in, the first thing I noticed was the rich green color of the plants. The shop was small, and it was filled with very happy looking plants. The sun shone into the small space and lit everything up. Then I met the wonderful people who work in this space. They were friendly and very kind. They made me feel like hanging out with them. Their dog just laid there while Dom told me their family story. They provide workshops that are open to the public, like how to take care of your plant babies and how to repot plants. You can also take classes to learn how to make art pieces with your plants. If you don't have the time to repot--they can do it for you. If you don't have a green thumb, you can even rent plants from them. I loved their warm and friendly vibe that they have created. read more

A friend and I were strolling down Solano Ave. when we noticed a beautiful plant shop. I stopped to look at the plants in the window then noticed that they were still closed. The shop didn't open for another hour. The owner, Dom, saw us peering through the window and walked over to open the door for us and said we could come in and look around. What owner opens the door an hour early and invites customers to come in and shop? Inside, it was so cute, paying homage to family & culture with family pictures displayed and a beautiful wooden plant display structure built by the owner's dad, and kokedamas made by her mom. You can definitely feel the high vibrations coming out of this shop. Needless to say, we took advantage of being the only ones on the shop. Dom, briefly explained all the current sales and promos, and welcomed our questions while she carried on with her pre-opening business routine. This shop also supports and carries products from local businesses such as jewelry, pots, gift cards, candles, aromatics, etc. Plus, she's a local Bay Area Filipina and we even chatted about the Bay Area old school music scene and the cultural events she would be participating in soon. There were a great variety of plants with prices that were reasonable. They also offer classes in plant care & display, host local bakeries & eateries, and provide events within the community. I had an awesome time at Pamana Plantas. I've been really into Ficus plants lately and noticed Pamana Plantas' Ficus plants look beautiful and really healthy. They have a great variety, even the rare Ficus Shivereana. After visiting other local nurseries/plant stores I'll be back to buy my Shivereana from Pamana Plantas since this one looked the healthiest/happiest and is the best price. I think this is true for all the plants at Pamana Plantas. The sticker section here is also very good. I purchased a Ficus plant sticker for my girlfriend, and she loves it. The plants are VERY well cared for and on a cold day like today, stepping into the shop was like entering a warm and cozy greenhouse. I have peeked in the windows of this spot when I went to pick up sushi at the (wonderful) adjacent Kyoto, but had never ventured in. Tonight I needed a birthday gift and they were still open.
