I love going to Curious Flora, such a wonderful selection, my yard is filled with such beautiful plants from their nursery. And such friendly and helpful staff.

Sure, we're heading into winter but I have flowers! Just bought three different poppies and a replacement flower for one that I did in by improper transplant :( No worries because Curious Flora has a LOT of fall and winter options. These poppies are early but they'll be on fire as early as spring. I recommend getting on their mailing list to find out what's happening on any given weekend. If you haven't been here, I recommend stopping in on your way past Richmond. Maybe 10 minutes off 580 and if you love plants, especially ones you can't find anywhere else!

Some magical, marvelous, and somehow better than the Annie's re-boot. So many plants with such great descriptions. Plant availability online which was spectacular... I was able to walk right in and find the exact plant I was looking for plus more (can anyone ever walk about with exactly what they came for???) Gorgeous gardens, lots of healthy plants, super friendly staff. Don't miss the magical place!!!

BEWARE!! CURIOUS FLORA DOES NOT OFFER EXCHANGE SERVICE! After investing $280.00 on March 4th, 2026 with Curious Flora for numerous outdoor plants, I realized I made the typical blunder of misjudging the sun exposure in my backyard - YIKES!! In spite of that, I expected a seamless process and anticipated no issues when I contacted Curious Flora about a straight swap of some of the full sun plants (since they were unplanted and untouched) for partial sun/shade plants. Coleen, who claimed to be the owner, essentially replied NOT A CHANCE and shut down my exchange request almost immediately - insisting on a strict no refund policy. I reiterated that I simply wanted a straight exchange and noted that I was under the impression that an exchange was likely permissible as my receipt contained no language to the contrary. As soon as I mentioned, in my experience, most nurseries accept exchanges within 7 days providing the plants are in their original, healthy and saleable condition, Coleen countered, with a superior attitude, that plant exchange policies are offered for places like Home Depot and suggested that I should have gone there. When I alluded to Annie's Annuals - the previous longstanding former nursery's nurturing, attentive, soft approach and after sales service, Coleen high-handedly pointed out that Annie's Annuals went out of business.

Curious Flora Nursery is a hidden gem for plant lovers--offering a surprisingly diverse selection of California native plants, a vast array of succulents, and blooming garden treasures that stretch across endless aisles. It's easy to get wonderfully lost here. Come feel the pulse of the season and ride the breeze of living beauty.

They have most everything you want and more plants you never thought you needed. Service is top notch. Someone helped me and walked me through my very curious and indecisive self patiently. They were so knowledgeable and friendly I felt I could not go wrong with my selection, got some beautiful grasses, and annuals and they are still alive after 5 months. Go here.

So glad the nursery continued in this spot. I hope word gets around. Fabulous native plants, rarities, succulents and edibles.

Used to be Annie's. New branding. We make our way here a once a month to browse and buy new plants. It's delightful!

Finally went to Curious Flora today to see what became of Annie's Annuals old nursery space, and it's still fantastic.

The location is slightly off the highway but on a very busy street. There's only street parking available so if you're in need for anything heavy - I'd suggest parking as close the store as possible. When I walked in, the store was brightly lite and very organized. I was thrilled to see a lot of the things that I needed was in store so I had to figure out what was priority on my shopping list since some of the reagents were originally pricey. The gentlemen that helped me didn't say much but was able to suggest a few options that were similar to what I needed but I politely declined and got the items that was within my daily budget. One thing that I was worried about was getting persuaded into purchasing something that was way overpriced and something that I didn't need but I never felt that here. The service was straight forward and I was in and out within fifteen minutes. The prices here are relatively similar to what you could find online so It's great to know that your monies will be going to a local shop rather than big competitors.

I've been to this location many times. Usually a good experience. Bought a couple fruit trees from this exact locations 10 years ago and think about this store every time I eat fruit from them. They are already large and I feel like they turn a house into a home. A place you really enjoy much more. I am big into landscaping. I like mature, beautiful landscape. Kitchens and paint I'm less into - I feel like these things no matter what they are within 5 or 10 years they are old, outdated and in need of redoing. The same can't be said about trees - they only get better and more valuable with age. Had a realtor once tell me that a 5 or 10 year old kitchen is just as bad as a 50 year old kitchen. Neither sells - and with trends ever changing - I wouldn't get too hung up with it. I know some friends that put so much effort into what paint on their walls looks like or what brand cabinets they have. Then they want the CHEAPEST car possible to put their wife and kids in. I just don't get it. Was a bummer today. I saw the Christmas tree lot here all closed and some of the trees inside I wanted to take a closer look at. The variety of Christmas trees here was very nice.
