A cozy little Italian restaurant. Let me say, the signature Espresso Martini was delicious. The sautéed shrimp appetizer was also very good and the BREAD to die for. After that things went downhill. The chicken Marsala was tasty but the chicken was tough and hard. My husband ordered the spaghetti vongole, and was not enjoying it as much as he usually enjoys this dish elsewhere. Service was good although our waitress brought a tossed salad instead of the ordered Cesar. Also, I ordered the chicken Marsala over spaghetti. Instead I got the chicken Marsala with a side of spaghetti with tomato sauce. Maybe we'll try again, we like to support small businesses. ‍ read more

I called at the last minute to make a reservation for a Saturday night for 4 people. I could only get one for 4:30 or 9:30. Being older I took the 4:30 :). We were cautioned when making the reservation that the table was booked for a 6:30. Out food was delicious, the ambience was cozy and the service was impeccable. We just had a horrible meal! My husband and other male ordered steak alamama. It was all fat for 39.00 each. The rabe was also terrible... not cooked or sautéed properly! The haddock special that my friend and I ordered was awful. Waitress told us it was haddock over Rabe and cannellini beans. It ended up being soupy disgusting fish. And it was not hot!!!. I will never return to this restaurant again. It was my pick , my favorite restaurant for my birthday ,never again. read more

The food was disgusting! The service was just ok. The ambiance was pleasant. I ordered the special: Haddock with little necks and shrimp in tomato sauce! There was a very small portion of Haddock, 4 little necks and 2 shrimp that were covered in tomato sauce. It looked like a dish of blood soup! My Son ordered the other special: A Turkey Whatever? Never felt more rushed in a restaurant, at every step. At first you might think it's attentiveness to make sure you aren't waiting. But then you literally get 30 more seconds when you say you're looking at the menu. Then the appetizer gets pulled from under you while there's still more to eat. Then your drinks get taken away when they aren't empty. The food was good but the impression they didn't want me there is what lasted. I hope it was just this one server having a bad night and wanting to go home. Would probably give it another chance and hope for a different experience. read more

We frequent Iannuccilli at least monthly, and it never ever fails! The food is always steaming hot and delicious. Appetizers and dessert are always a must including their dangerously tasty espresso martinis. Service is always impeccable as well as the overall atmosphere of the restaurant. Ok- arrived on a Sat. Early( 6:00 ) after making a reservation a month ahead to celebrate a birthday... received text/ calls ( are you coming- " we have people waiting" )confirmed and arrived - but annoyed .... the hostess seats us and says hey- "you basically have 2 hours" but the people who left prior left at 6:15 so you have until 8:15 ... well great!!!! Service was great !!! Too loud and chaotic and cramped , I felt rushed - the food was good... but the place is small and loud- my 78 year old mother could not hear much... let's get back to the food.... It was ok.. so much more to choose from in Cranston.. parking sucked as well ( small lot) I'm happy I experienced it but most likely won't return ... nothing food related to brag about.... read more

Five stars aren't enough for this place!!!! The calamari was delicious with alla mamma and marinara, so good and the Antipasto was delicious. They give you plenty of great bread and olive oil... Drinks are tasty and strong, not weak. The veal chop blew us away, as did the stuffed shrimp scampi. I had the chicken parm- out of this world... best in Cranston ( if you catch my drift ) ended with authentic Italian cappuccinos, just like Italy!!! Really really good. It's not a huge place so I would make reservations for sure!!! It's our new go to place now!!!! read more

Was recommended by a friend and we loved it when we went there for the first time a couple of months ago. Haddock dinner was superb, shrimp dinner was very good, and the veal parm was excellent, along with the service. Tonight's visit again had very good food. The issue was that we had a 6 o'clock reservation and enjoyed a cocktail before we ordered an appetizer. We finished the app and chatted a bit before we ordered dinner. We ordered and ate dinner and at 7:15 as we were ready to order an after dinner drink and a dessert to share, we were told we only had 20 minutes left because our seats had reservations. So obviously not enough time to enjoy another drink and a dessert. At no time were we told there was a time limit. Our previous visit we were there for about 2 1/2 hours, same time, same night and actually the same seats and there was no time limit problem. We were stunned and upset about being pressured to leave. Not the fine dining experience we loved on our first visit. We felt pushed out and we were not very happy. Although we love the food, we are not sure we will ever want to return knowing that we will not be able to relish a relaxing dinner without being hurried to finish. read more

Simply the best Italian food in the area. Wonderful hostess, friendly staff, generous portions, quality ingredients and DELICIOUS dishes, this place does not disappoint. The orichiette with rabi and sausage is always a favorite. I always seem to be disappointed when ordering chicken parmesan out at restaurants, but not here. The chicken is flavorful, well cooked and the gravy is amazing. The Shrimp appetizer is a meal in itself - large, perfectly cooked and in a delicious white wine, butter sauce that is worthy of "cleaning up" with what ever bread you have left. I wasn't as wowed as I expected to be based on prior reviews. From a 5 star restaurant I'd expect warm bread, maybe roasted garlic in the accompanying olive oil. I had the chicken marsala, which was quite good but I wish I got it with mashed potatoes to fully enjoy the gravy because the pasta came with red sauce. Calamari was fairly average. My wife recently heard about this restaurant, which has been open for about six months. We made an early reservation for last night and was not disappointed. The place was just about full at 5:30pm on a Wednnesday. I had the Veal Parm (on the bone) which arrived looking like a Fred Flintstone cut. The veal had been pounded thin, but left on the bone. Absolutely as good as it gets. Also excellent marinara on the penne. The house garden salad was also exceptional. How can the first bite of salad be an eye opener? In a neighborhood that couldn't possibly have more Italian restaurants, Iannuccilli is thriving! I highly recommend it. read more

First time visit but it surely won't be the last. We had an eggplant vegetable ravioli app with marinara, which was excellent and a preview of what was to come. I had the roasted haddock with tomatoes and sparkling wine sauce; fish was cooked perfectly and very tasty. Also the girls loved the baked stuffed shrimp scampi. Even the side of pasta with marinara was very good. Barmaid Gail made the visit enjoyable and she was very professional. My husband and I visited last week for the first time. What a neighborhood gem! Our waitress Kristin was excellent and full of recommendations. We couldn't decide and she recommended the grilled turkey. It was so delicious. We also chatted with the table near us so got recommendations for future visits. Service was excellent and all the staff greeted us and made us feel welcome. The restaurant is observing all COVID regulations so we felt safe in dining out. Iannuccilli's is one of the best Italian restaurants in Rhode Island. The food is wonderful. Each plate comes out piping hot. The waitstaff is friendly and they remember your name every time they see you there. I have never had a bad meal. We go there at least once a month, sometimes more. Such a lovely gem in the middle of Cranston. We went with our son and daughter-in-law on their recommendation and were not at all disappointed. The restaurant was small and a bit crowded but we were seated within 10 minutes without a reservation. It was very noisy in there but that also made us feel as though we could talk without weed whispering and be comfortable. I didn't mind the noise at all. We got there before our children and were seated at the bar briefly. The bar seems as though it is a comfortable place to eat as well. I ordered chicken parm with marinara and gnocchi. The chicken parm and marinara sauce were delicious. The gnocchi was not so good, heavy and it came with a pink vodka sauce we'd which I did not order. But once I tasted the gnocchi I knew that I would not eat it anyway. My friend had steak which was bone in and lardge and cooked to perfection. The kids had other Italian dishes that they loved including the gluten free pasta. We also had salsds and my Caesar salad was 1 of the best I have ever had. My friends and I had reservations at Iannuccilli last night to celebrate her birthday. When we arrived at the reserved time the hostess had told us that we had the wrong time and our reservation was 2 hours later. After she looked at multiple seating charts she realized it was an error on their end and she we would be all set for the reserved time. For a very small restaurant she had several seating charts which could get confusing.. We were seated at a table that looked like it could comfortably seat 4. Our reservation was for 6. My husband and I got there first so we took the shorter bench at the table. We quickly realized there would be no way a 3rd person could fit next to us. We told the staff we were a little concerned about the small table so they did put a chair at the end which turned out fine. Just be prepared if you are a larger sized group, the restaurant is very small as are the tables. We started with the mashed potato pizza and honestly it was delicious!!! Very unique, and the six of us finished the entire thing. I also had two peach sangrias which were very tasty with the perfect amount of sweet. Others had the red sangria which they enjoyed. We asked for a cocktail menu but were told they did not have any but were working on a martini list. My Husband asked for an old fashioned but our waitress asked what was in it. He told her, but when the drink was delivered he was handed a pink martini! Quite the mix up. He enjoyed the taste so she just put it into a regular small glass. For dinner I had to try the rigatoni sausage dish and was not disappointed. It was a huge portion and it was very yummy. My husband had the sirloin steak and he really enjoyed it too. For his side he chose pasta with pink sauce. Others had the turkey and pork special dishes and really liked theirs as well. They also gave my friend a nice " Happy Birthday" dessert at the end of our meal. Would I go back? Well the food was very good, but I'm not sure. There are so many Italian spots in cranston and in all of RI. I really enjoy speciality cocktails which I didn't see and my husband enjoys draft beers/ciders which they did not have. Also it is extremely small inside which isn't a bad thing, but to be more comfortable with a large group I would probably go elsewhere. If you are in the area and you can get reservations (which you definitely need here!) I would give it a try for really good, large portions Italian! read more

Fairly new restaurant, they opened in May. We ate here last night. Food was great, service friendly and efficient, cozy on the small side dining room, and overall great vibe. I had the grilled veal chip which was delicious; brought 1/2 home cuz it's so big. My husband had the stuffed shrimp which was excellent and not greasy. (At some restaurants sometimes I find stuffed shrimp to be greasy.) they have more wine by the glass than is listed on the menu so ask. This is a place where you'll probably see a few old friends. Bar area looked very nice and it was full with folks eating at the bar. Reservations recommended; we got with table for 2 at 545 on a Friday night but we were lucky. read more

Very good restaurant for Italian food. Best bolognese sauce we've tasted in long time. Calamari app was just eh. Was just the rings, not the full squid dish with tentacles. Herb aioli sauce that accompanied the dish was very good. Drinks were on the weak side. Prices were reasonable, service was very good. The only very real downside to this restaurant is the noise level. Good god, it got extremely loud in there. After a while it got obnoxious, not sure if it was just the loud spacones at the bar or is it like this when the restaurant is full? Anyhow, make reservations (a must!) and bring some earplugs and you will have a pleasant evening with great bolognese and a glass of wine. read more

We have been trying to visit this restaurant for some time and finally had the opportunity last night. The food was delicious! We started off with Salsiccia e Rabe which was amazing along with the burrata with tomatoes. I had the chicken parm which is large enough to share between 2 people. while my husband had the bone in veal parm, another great dish. Although we were full, we couldn't resist dessert and had the caramel chocolate bread pudding. It was to die for! Kristen, our waitress, was great and made the night so enjoyable! Busy place every time, so you know it's good!. If you like broccoli rabe (or even if you don't) you HAVE TO get the Rabe and White Bean app. Two of us don't particularly care for rabe, but we practically fought over the last of it! Four of us shared that and the large antipasto, which was good but nothing extraordinary. The special was braised beef ravioli, a little bit too salty (and I love salt) but still delicious. Chicken parm got rave reviews. Gnocchi was perfect, light and almost melted in your mouth. Their meatballs and gravy are so flavorful, and always, always consistent.
