i-Tea is one of my favorite places to get tea because of their variety. They have an extensive menu and I've enjoyed almost every drink I've tried. Their service is usually fast and you can get your drinks quickly. The guy that's typically at the counter is nice and his memory is amazing. Their 100% sweetness level is perfect for me but I like sweeter drinks. My favorite drinks: - Green Tea Crema - Pineapple Fruit Tea - Mango Sago - Jasmine Green Milk Tea - Hot Taro Milk Tea + Tofuhua for a cold Winter day! However, I was looking forward to getting this drink again but was disappointed when I went back two days later and the new woman at the counter said the barista currently working doesn't know how to make hot drinks. Well that's weird... Since most of the drinks already come with toppings, their prices are very reasonable. Additionally, they let you substitute toppings for free. The only drink I've tried here that I didn't like was the Strawberry Fruit Tea since it was extremely syrupy. They were nice about it and made me a different drink instead, which I really appreciated. Regarding food: - Tonkatsu Ramen: I really enjoyed the ramen but the toppings they use are bland. However, this doesn't deter me from ordering it since the ramen and broth are flavorful. - Popcorn Chicken is a tad spicy so if you can't handle any spice, I would say you should pass on this item. I love coming to i-tea. They're one of my favorite boba places in the area due to their variety. Their drinks tends to be on the sweet side so I usually adjust the sweetness to 50%. Their food here is also amazing. I love their calamari here. It's not overly batter, great portion, and delicious. They are super nice as well. We ordered the durian shake (good amount of sweetness and real durian fruit and some pulp), mango shake, and other seasonal drinks. My friend ordered the shoyu based ramen, chicken katsu curry, and I got the beef noodle soup with noodles. There we're only one person assisting and the chef making the meals. The food came within a good amount of time and the chef personally brought it over. I can tell by the presentation that he put alot of dedication to each dish. I was quite shocked at how delicious all 3 of our meals were as I thought it would be average tasting dishes. Man was I wrong! It wasn't just a regular ramen soup or regular katsu curry. I adored the curry dish and broth from that tonkatsu ramen! The chicken was light and crispy and a decent portion of meat ontop. The shoyu broth was so savory and full of umami flavor. My beef tendon was alright. The tendon could've been cooked 20 min longer and big chunks of tendon could've been cut smaller but it was okay to eat too. I would def come back again! I've had this at the Davis Itea location and thought I would come to the South Sac to try-- it is just as good! I love Itea's popcorn chicken because it's juicy, has a crunchy but not dry batter, and it is perfectly seasoned with fried basil. Bonus they add in garlic chunks and have an amazing ranch. It is a little pricy, but you get a lot of chicken in 1 order, enough food to fill up 1 hungry adult. The plaza is a little small/run down but the interior has a lot of seating. It was my first time coming to this location. I've been to the one in San Jose many times when I used to work in the area. But at this location, I was surprised to see it empty. The place looked very big but with no bodies inside it. I'm not sure if I just came at an off time and it's supposed to get busy in the evening (it did say that they close at 12am). My favorite thing about this place is the quality of the drink and also the pricing. It's very comparable to San Jose's prices. I got the 3G (milk tea with boba, grass jelly and pudding) all for $5.75, with tax it came to $6.40 something. Their menu is similar to San Jose's for which I'm grateful. Im glad they don't hike up the prices bc it's Sacramento. The only thing I'd suggest is the cleanliness/smell of the place. It doesn't smell clean. The restroom also needed a lot of attention- there was no soap, the dispenser was broken, urine was all over the seat and the floor and it had a very strong vinegar/chemical smell. The place is located along Florin so it's not the best spot but I'd suggest to make it at least smelling clean and inviting. The workers except for 1 seemed friendly. I haven't been here in years but had a strange experience tonight. I ordered some food and drinks and the worker seemed to be disengaged. I asked what the Hokkadio milk tea was and he was just like "Panda milk tea". Then I also saw a Panda milk tea on the menu. I also asked about the Teaspresso which I would have gotten if it had cream. Then I asked for the Sea Salt Krema Jasmine tea in a large size. For some reason, he noted it down as a plain Jasmine tea. So I go to let them know and it was a girl who rang me up this time and she just informed me I was charged for a different drink so I'd have to pay the difference. Umm ok. When I get my debit card out, she says something like they don't allow card under a certain amount. I didn't have any cash on hand. She proceeded to ask if I had some in my car. What part of I have no cash wasn't understood? She just kind of looked at me like I either had to accept the wrong drink or pay for a whole new one. I then proceeded to explain how I shouldn't be penalized because my order was taken down wrong. She goes to talk to someone in the back before coming back out, still making me pay extra for the crema, which I'm not sure why I'm paying an extra $1.60. Maybe because I also wasn't charged for the correct size? Either way, you shouldn't pass your mistakes onto the customer. When we got our food, they accidentally added someone else's food into our order that we didn't realize, so they came running after us to the car to get it. It wasn't a busy night by any means, so not sure what's going on. They did have a sign out front saying they're closed Tuesdays due to staffing issues, so not a good sign either. read more

Such a hidden gem! They have so many different types of snacks, and actual menu items such as udon, curry, noodles, fried oysters. I've gotten their fried oysters, Takoyaki, popcorn chicken and calamari before. I like how their calamari's aren't the ring which makes more sense why it's on the pricier end. Love the Takoyaki too. My all time favorite drink & the reason I go there is their black tea Oreo creamy! It's like an Oreo shake w black tea. So yummy. The service is great too. Came in on a Thursday night returning for our second time. Really nice and comfortable energy and noise level inside. Lots of options and we were served pretty quickly. We ordered calamari, mozzarella sticks, basil chicken, and potato croquettes. With a hass avocado smoothie and mango sago to pair. Boba was fresh and soft. Calamari may have taken the crown for best calamari in sac for me rn. Strongly seasoned, very tender and meaty serving. Basil chicken was also really good. Nicely cooked and very crispy. Worst bubble tea place. The person working there is a young lady, and she was extremely rude. (She looked like she really didn't even want to work there. Maybe she is the daughter of the owner?). My wife waited in the car with our baby--she told me to go inside the store and order something non-dairy. When I went in to ask the staff, she refused to help me find drinks that are non-dairy. She just pushing--what do you want? what do you want? Almost like she is in a huge hurry. But the store was empty! The whole time I was there, nobody else was there except for me. So why are you rushing me instead of helping? Finally she mentioned a drink number (M1 or something like that). When I look for that number M1 in the menu, it was very hard to find because the menu is not in alphabetical order. I am sure M1 is very obvious to her because she works there, but it is not obvious to me. On top of that she kept rushing me to make an order NOW NOW NOW, while I kept looking for M1 in the menu. "M1,C3, A9 sir. What do you want to order? What do you want to order?" After we ordered, I found out my drink is very poorly made. I ordered an iced lemon tea. As you can see in my photos, the lemon was not cut into slices! She just threw half a lemon in there because she was too lazy to cut it. When my friend saw the whole lemon he laughed like crazy. If you don't want to work there, then don't work there. It's not my fault that you are forced to work at a place where you don't want to work. They also have stuff other than drinks- literally a whole food menu with rice and soup items. At the counter they also have an area where there's free onion soup. Next time I'm back I'll have my whole dinner here! The cashier is nice too, she was patient when I was taking my time to figure out what to order and also asked me to put my phone number in again for points. I love i-Tea and I was excited to see a location in Sac! It's a little hard to find but it's in a small plaza with an entrance with a gate. The quality is definitely on par with other i-Tea locations I've been to! I love how some of their drinks come with toppings already, so you don't have to pay extra. You can also request for no toppings in drinks as well if that floats your boat. The workers were friendly, and the space was pretty big inside. When we came back there today and ordered the same drinks. This time they had the tofu red beans but they wanted to charge us back for the $0.49 difference on the past Friday because they told us the cream brûlée is $0.49 more than the tofu red beans. Seriously! ? For $0.49 ?! No.1 That was their fault. They ran out of an item but didn't notify the customer right away. We received the message that the order was ready. We were going there and we got a call after that. No 2. If they wanted to charge the difference, they should let us know the same day when we picked up the order. If they forgot to charge it on that day, oh well. That's their own fault. But no, they are putting it on a return customer. And the way they talked to us wasn't nice at all. It sounded like that was our fault that we tried to take advantage of them! No. 3 look at the picture of the cream brûlée and you will understand why we are not happy to pay the difference. We were going to sit down and have dinner there tonight. Of course we didn't, for this kind of service. They don't know they lost a customer because of $0.49. Pretty good tea spot! It's one of my brother's favorites so I decided to try it since I was in town. There's a bunch of food things to eat as well so we got mozzarella sticks and popcorn chicken. As far as drinks, I got a large oolong tea (super flavorful and not super sweet which I appreciated), my brother got his peach tea and my sister got the pearl boba milk tea. Everyone seemed pretty content with their drinks and food wasn't bad. Service does take a long time because they are short staffed and there's a sign on the door to let you know ahead of time. I loved i-Tea and I've been a customer for years. I have so many good memories here with my friends, eating their delicious popcorn chicken and just hanging out. This most recent time we came, the experience left me super dissatisfied and saddened. We ordered the basil popcorn chicken and an oolong milk tea (or what we thought was an oolong milk tea.) What we received was just oolong tea, and we noticed it immediately upon picking it up at the counter. We notified the workers immediately and told them, we thought the oolong came with milk. They said no, we ordered oolong tea, no milk. We said okay, would it be possible for you guys to remake our drink, or give us some milk to add to the tea? We even said we would pay the difference if the milk cost more. To which they said no, you would have to just buy a whole new drink. It was such a minor fix, just add some milk! It also was not busy at all, there was like one other group in the building besides us. Of course I was like oh man that really sucks, they really couldn't just fix our drink? I would've let it go but the guy employee I asked really did not give a damn. He could've gone about it to so many ways, but the way he talked to me about it just gave off that he didn't care to do anything about it. I've gone back to this place three times in the past two weeks. This place is kind of addicting. My favorite thing so far is the Mango Sago, I like to add litchi. I also ordered the watermelon Sago, egg puffs, egg rolls, shrimp lolly pops, and the steamed dumplings. This was my first time going there. My little brother told me about this place. We went in after work. I have been to other spots like this, but this was the biggest I have been to. A lot of the tables/chairs were put away. It was still spacious enough to be comfortable in your own bubble, yet not feel so "COVID social distancing" apart. I ordered the Peach Fruit Tea & mini egg rolls. Very good drink! The drink came with the peach boba at the bottom of the cup. The only "knock" I have on my drink is that by the time you get to middle of the cup, all of the peach flavoring was gone. The only thing I could taste was the green tea. I guess I should have mixed it up before I started to drink? Now for the mini egg rolls. They came in a small "to go" style box. They were about 6-8 of them inside. They also came with a sweet chili sauce that I thought was very good. My knock on the egg rolls is that they were smaller than I am used to having. They had the circumference of a larger boba straw. The price was respectable. My drink was $5.25. My egg rolls were $9.75. For $15 I would definitely try again and I do plan on going back. BONUS: My little brother ordered the popcorn chicken. His came with a spicier red chili sauce, and a "house sauce" that looked like teriyaki with a glop of horse radish. You were recommended to mix them together before tasting. The chicken was very good. It was even better with the house sauce. I could do without the chili sauce though. We can't do half stars, but this place would have got a 4.5 from me.
