Amazing portions & the boba is always cooked just right, the milk tea is sweet! Good service & cute atmosphere overall read more

I used to love this place but have slowly started disliking it because they take forever to make drinks. The last three times I've visited there's either one or two workers but my one drink takes 20-30 minutes to make. One visit I understood because someone ordered 9 drinks, but I just went today for an online order pick up and it took 29 minutes. I ordered at 1:54 with an ETA of 2:05 but my drink wasn't ready until 2:23. It was only ready that quick because I asked the workers, but had I not it probably would've taken longer. Tbh they've lost me as a customer as they don't even apologize for the long wait time or inform us it'll take that long. read more

It's been awhile since I visited cool tea bar. We were in the area so we decided to grab some refreshers. I love that it's only a 50 cents difference to upgrade to large. I tried the tea bar milk tea with boba and egg pudding. The drinks came out fairly quickly. I enjoyed the firmness of the boba. My friend got the Jasmine milk tea. She didn't particularly enjoy it. She finished the whole drink and felt like it wasn't caffeinated enough. She was still tired after drinking milk tea. They have croffles now! Will definitely need to make another visit to try the croffles. read more

Cute spot with plenty of room in a very busy shopping center. A few stores from SF market. Plenty of parking space but good luck with getting one up front during the weekend. Had their Taro Milk Tea with Boba and Lyche Jelly. Young lady asked "want to make this a large?" In which I replied "why not". HUGE!!! It contained a generous of jelly and boba which I appreciate but the taste was just mid. Mid as in - I've had it better! It has this after taste that just didn't register well to my taste buds. Took it home and my son had the rest and he too said it was just ok. They have a nice menu selections and offeres desserts so I'll come back to give it another go! read more

I was pleasantly surprised by this place. I walked in, and it seemed pretty empty and no music was playing initially. Strange boba environment at first, but it didn't bug me much. I order a regular Passion Fruit Green Tea with lychee. First off, their sizes are HUGE for the price. It's hard to find affordable boba these days, and this place had great servings. Secondly, the drink came out in a timely fashion and was pretty good. Not too sweet and the toppings tasted fresh too. Will be coming back! read more

We usually go to the Cool Tea near us but since we were in Sacramento we figured why not check it out. It's super clean with tons of seating. The girl working was super nice and helpful. We ordered Kumquat Green Tea, Blueberry Matcha with boba & Mango Smoothie with Lychee Jelly. Everything was super yummy! We'll be back next time we're in town! read more

my favorite boba spot! Every time I come in I'm always greeted from the wonderful staff. They have a super fast service. Their cup sizes are big, Drinks are amazing, and a great price! read more

Really bad customer service. Didn't check who ordered what. Gave the drink whoever comes to counter. We're there for 30 minutes saw other people came and grabbed drinks. When I walked to the counter and inquired how long do we need to wait because I saw people that ordered after us already got their drinks. . She asked what is your number? When I showed her our order # , she said oh someone already took it. We will make another one but you need to wait at least 10 more minutes. read more

I have a soft spot for this boba shop because I used to come here all the time, but I can't help but feel like the quality has went down a little. Maybe they changed their recipes because I remember the roasted milk tea being darker in color and having a stronger roasted tea taste. Customer service was good, as we were greeted right away and our order was made fairly fast. The drinks here are usually on the sweeter side, so I make sure to adjust the sweetness. The inside of the store was redesigned to look more modern. There always seems to be a distinct smell inside that reminds me of cleaning products, but I do not mind. They have a cute photo wall, board games, and a good amount of seating available! read more

Located in a plaza with a huge parking lot. Dragon fruit black tea 100% sugar (as recommended standard) was pretty good. Very refreshing yet not overpowered by sweetness. There's still a kick of tea flavor but I wish for a stronger tea flavor. Roasted oolong tea was okay. It was very milky, can barely taste any tea flavor. read more

Their tea tastes very authentic. The owner told me that they use real tea leaves to make their drinks rather than powder. I got their roasted milk tea (best seller) and lychee milk tea which were both really good and not overly sweet. For me, 50% sweetness was perfect. Their drinks are also pretty value compared to other places! A large is only 50 cents more. Overall great deal for the amount you are getting in the cup. I also tried their boba, banana, and Oreo croffles which they make fresh in-house. My favorite was the Oreo croffle since it has a slight crunch with the Oreo crumble. Would recommend this chill hang-out spot if you are looking for value and high-quality milk/fruit tea drinks! read more

Great boba at an affordable price. They have the order online option available which can get a little crazy when they only have one person working. Service is great, most of the time it's younger people. It can get busy on the weekends but there's always seating for everybody read more

This place is underrated, it may not be as Instagramable as other newer hip boba spots, but it has never failed me and always consistent. Although they don't have as many unique drinks as other places, the drinks here are legit and very tasty!! One of my go to places given reasonable price for what you get. The sizes are much larger than most other boba places. Drinks I've tried: 1) Oolong milk tea - my go to favorite here! Perfect blend of tea and milk. I typically like to add either boba or aloe 2) Roasted milk tea 3) House milk tea 4) Honey green tea 5) Lichi green tea 6) Taro smoothie - A MUST TRY!! -recommend adding boba, although still delicious without it -love how they use real Taro! -they will ask if you have tried it since it's not going to be the artificial purple power that most places use There are plenty of tables and seats inside to hang out or get work done. Overall: do not sleep on this place! You get more bang for your buck and excellent quality. read more

I love their mango slushie here! My only gripe is that their 50% sweet is not consistent. It is subjective to the employee making the drink it appears. We went last week and the owner (older gentleman) made the perfect 50% sweetness. However, we went today and their 50% sweet tasted like pure syrup/sugar. Sadly, I had to ask to have it remade, which I hate doing. Perhaps, the young male employee did not remember my request for 50% sweetness, read more

Hands down the best boba shop in Sacramento! My drinks are always made perfectly, and the staff consistently goes above and beyond--one of the employees even remembers my preferred sugar level! It's that personal touch that makes this place truly special. I absolutely love it here. read more

This Cool Tea Bar has been around for over 10 years and I'm glad this location is still here. I haven't been in about 5 years till recently and they are still good. They've remodeled a bit since the last time I've been there and I like that they have the lower tables now instead of all the high tables. They also have a variety of board games to enjoy while we wait for our drinks. I got the #1 - roasted oolong milk tea with grass jelly. I like mine less sweet and the barista made it perfectly. I don't remember her name, but shout out to that barista. She also handled my group of 8's drink orders like a boss. read more

The Jasmine milk tea here was very delicious! I chose coffee jelly as a topping and asked for pudding too but was given regular boba with it instead but it was all still very good. I definitely would reorder this drink my next visit but hopefully will correctly receive it with pudding next time. The coffee jelly was perfection. read more

The drinks at Cool Tea Bar are priced reasonably and that's what would get us to come back if we're ever in the area again. The drinks are extremely sweet so you should scale back the sugar to 75% or even 50% if you don't have a sweet tooth. I ordered the oolong litchi at 100% and it was extremely sweet and the flavor didn't suit my preferences. It might just because I'm not a huge fan of roasted flavors. I enjoyed the Jasmine Green Milk Tea more, but still only thought it was "ok". As for the passion fruit tea, the drink was also just ok, but it had a syrupy taste and was also way too sweet. I usually order 100% sweet at other boba shops so I was surprised when I tried these drink and thought they were overly sweet. The prices are reasonable though especially if you want a larger drink (32 oz?). read more

The prices on their menu are not up to date along with pricing for their regular size and now, Jumbo, size (used to only be regular and large) but you do get your money's worth with the Jumbo. Drinks have been consistent for the past few years even through the pandemic, and it's nice to see the slight changes in design or decor when I visit every once in a while. Service is always good, I rarely ever have to wait and staff always seems properly trained. read more

Could this place "be" any cooler?!? This is such an adorable place, filled with color and whimsical decorations, perfect for an insta moment. However, it is the delicious tea and perfectly chewy boba that brings me back anytime I am in the area. On all my visits, the staff was cheerful and helpful, even making suggestions from the menu. I usually order a standard black milk tea with boba, but on one occasion I stepped out of my box and ordered a jasmine milk tea (no sugar because I love the tea) with strawberry popping boba. Ahh-maze-ing! The jasmine tea had that lovely fragrant essence, but without being too floral, and the sweet popping boba...where have you been all my life? You can choose your sweetness and ice level as well, which I always appreciate. This is definitely a cool place to stop by and get a cool drink! read more

When I was in Sac w/ my sister, she first introduced me to this boba spot that served boba in a 32oz cup. At first I was skeptical but once we got the drinks, I was STUNNED. My go to drink has to be their kumquat green tea w/ boba, 100% ice and 75% sugar. This is my fave drink as it's so refreshing & the boba is not too soft or hard, perfect chewy consistency! After researching more about the other locations, I did find that they have a spot in San Jose & San Francisco :) If someone ever limits you to one boba cup, check out Boba Tea Bar where they'll give you ONE BOBA DRINK IN A 32OZ DRINK.) it's worth it heh read more

I've been to this boba shop several times over the year. My girlfriends and I have always enjoyed their drinks. Not a whole lot to dislike other than the fact that their milk tea is premixed (which means you can adjust the amount of milk or tea based on your preferences). During our most recent visit, we ordered a few Jasmine Milk Tea drinks with different topping. I ordered mine with grass jelly and I did appreciate how the grass jelly actually had a hint of sweetness. The menu offers all sorts of fruit tea, milk tea, and smoothie options. Ice and sweetness levels can be adjusted also as these guys prides takes pride on customizing drinks to your exact liking. read more

The BEST place for your money's worth! A large is HUGE & typically between $4.50-5.50 (depends on what you add in). Huge, as in, definitely enough for 2 people. All of their teas are freshly made and not overly sweet. My go-to drink is a mango green tea with lychee jelly & boba. So amazing! Also, love how you can customize your sweetness level, and alter the kind of tea and add-ins. I swear when I say I have never gotten this much GOOD boba tea at this price. My new favorite place in the Sacramento area. read more

There was a Cool Tea Bar back in the Bay Area and now it's My Cup of Tea but the vibe is pretty similar! So I thought I give this place a try! Ordered the Dragonfruit Black Tea and Thai Milk Tea. Sadly, it was a miss. I could not taste any dragonfruit, it was barely there. As for the Thai Milk tea, it was just really really sad tea. Even the color is not how it should be! read more

Main distinguishing factor of this establishment are the large portions for drinks as they come on either a 24 or 32 oz cup, which is awesome if you just can't get enough of boba! I do wish that they offered more variety. Everything on their menu is something you'd be able to find at any boba spot within the Sacramento area. Even their Top Sellers menu is pretty standard. Note that they don't offer food here. I tried the Matcha Red Bean Smoothie and was pleased by the good flavor and smooth consistency of the drink. They do allow you to customize the drinks' sugar level, per their menu, but was disappointed when they didn't offer for this customization to be done. Service was friendly but somehow our order got misplaced and took nearly 15 minutes to be completed, after we reminded them. Overall, not my favorite spot, but it's decent and I love the massive serving sizes. read more

Personally, I think this "tea" thing is a bit out of control. Outside of the big playerd in the tea game, you really need to do something different to standout in this competitive landscape. With that caveat, I had a really good experience here. Cool Tea Bar does a couple unique things. They utilize some unique flavors such as kumquat and (at this location) red bean. I could be wrong, but I don't typically see these flavors at other establishments. The kumquat/lemon green tea is incredible and the red bean milk tea really takes me back to my childhood. I think this place is great and is in a prime location to succeed. read more

Came here on a late Fri night around like 9/10pm and was surprised at how empty it was! Always thought all the college-aged Asians would be poppin around at a boba place like this! Came here after eating the largest meal ever with my 3 girl friends at Heat Shabu Baru. It's the only place in this plaza that's opened super late I guess, so there's like no cars out front for parking (rare case nowadays right?) Order: Tea Bar Milk Tea, aka regular black milk tea without toppings (I've been on this non-boba eating phase in an effort to not become obese and not feed my boba addiction). The really great thing about this place is that their regular size is like another place's large, but for about the same price! Love it. The two college-age looking employees were really terrific, they helped us with our basic photo taking in front of their colored wall (peep my pics) and laughed at all our corny jokes. Definitely will be back again. (Thanks you 2 for not judging us 4 basic Asian girls that night! we appreciate you) read more

Friendly staffs, simple/clean interior decor, plenty of shared parking spaces located within the shopping/restaurant plaza and they serve soft bobas with great milk teas. What's not to like? Okay maybe I wouldn't recommend going here at night due to the location, but this place is a must try. They do tend to run out of taro often, especially during closing time so if you really want to try that particular drink, I suggest going during the day. read more

The prices are misleading and wrong. It looks closed most of the time I drive past since I go to the grocery store in the same shopping center. They charge a lot and they make the excuse that the owner put the wrong prices for the drinks. It's very misleading to have a certain price listed but the actual price of the item is $2-3 more than. The flavors of the drink are just average so it does not make up for the misleading prices. I probably wouldn't go again. read more

Pretty decent place to hangout and drink. The tea was quite good but nothing to write home about. Wanted to get taro but they sold out. Really didn't like my oolong milk tea..the bobas were hard and I was expecting for black bobas; not yellow/orange color.. 5 stars for this spot! I recently came here and ordered the tea bar milk tea with tea balls, but meant to get cool balls (clear boba) and they offered to make me a new one free of charge. That's A+ customer service in my opinion! I've been coming here for YEARS, including the location in SF and I've always enjoyed their drinks. I've practically ordered every drink on the menu, it's that good. Some of my favorites are the tea bar milk tea, grass jelly roasted milk tea, and the mango green tea. If you're not quite sure what you'd like, feel free to ask them for a sample! In addition, I appreciate that their large drinks are exactly that, large. One of their drinks will easily last me all day, sometimes even the next day. The texture and taste of their boba and grass jelly are also on point. I'll forever be a fan for Cool Tea Bar! read more

Cool Tea Bar - menu, oct 2023 - Bubble Tea Near Me - Sacramento, California

People were mentioning the sizes of cups and that in itself got me interested to check this place out. Parking is easy because it's within a complex of businesses. The vibe is chill: board games to play, a tv playing good music, open space, and lots of tables. The menu is relatively concise but there's definitely something on that menu for everyone. They have two sizes, regular and large. The regular is like the regular size everyone knows. The large is 32 oz. Surprisingly, most of the drinks were only 50 cents to get a large versus regular. Even better, this place is relatively cheap! I ordered a large mango green tea ($4) and added boba ($0.50)! That's 32 oz of boba for $4.50!!! Definitely worth it especially how hot Sac can get at times. You can also adjust sweetness levels if you don't want your drink at a certain sweetness! Overall, definitely would recommend this place! read more
