I've been here many times and realize I never left a review. This Temple Coffee location is beautiful and so iconic. The floors are covered in pennies and the tall ceiling is so open and nice. The line might be long be it does move rather fast. While waiting I sampled their new drip coffee it was tasty. For my drink I got a cappuccino. It came with beautiful coffee art and tastes really good. Service is efficient. Staff are nice and knowledgeable. I love coming here when I'm in the area!

The coffee was pretty good here, but what really sold me was the Banana Chocolate Chip Bread slice. It made me think about buying more slices, but the inside is very aesthetically pleasing to the eye and has a nice vibe to it. Very relaxing and a great place to socialize or study at. The staff had good customer service with the barista providing us with recommendations and popular orders.

Recently discovered this location. The largest one I've been to so plenty of seating options including outdoors. They're much busier than the other locations with line wrapped outside. Street parking that can be hard to find on busy days. Drinks are always delicious and so are their baked goods.

Located in the middle of Midtown, this coffee shop has a nice balance between modern design and a cozy, welcoming atmosphere. It's a great option if you're staying or living nearby and want something more local than chain coffee. I visited mid-morning on a cool and overcast weekday. It was quite busy and seating can be competitive, but there's some outdoor overflow seating if you don't mind the weather. I ordered a large Mexican Mocha for here, and it was fantastic. It was smooth and well-balanced; the chocolate was rich and the spices weren't too overpowering. Despite the crowd, service was genuinely friendly and efficient. My drink was ready in about five minutes, which was impressive given how packed it was. Overall, this is a reliable coffee stop that I'll definitely visit again next time I'm in the area.

Definitely my go to coffee shop when I'm visiting Sacramento. Today I ordered the Golden Hour which had an apricot and basil syrup with a creamy cold foam on top (super delicious). The vibe of this place is always awesome and the barista was great! Definitely recommend this spot.

Seating can be filled up indoors, but there's also seating outdoors which is nice on pleasant days. Being in sunny California, there are plenty of days where those outdoor spots can be used. If cold or wet, spots can be filled up quick. Vibes are nice, and has a modern and upscale feel. Wifi is free and was fast enough for browsing web pages. Staff were cool as well. Got a Thai iced tea, and it was ok. I've had better; in fact, I had just come back from Asia where I got plenty of it there. I have a sense that coffee is better than the order I made.

Temple Coffee Roasters is a great spot with an excellent atmosphere. The vibes are welcoming and relaxing, making it a perfect place to sit, enjoy a cup of coffee, and catch up or work. The staff is friendly, attentive, and helpful, which really adds to the overall experience. My coffee was a little bitter at first, and when I mentioned it, the staff kindly remade it for me. It was still a bit on the bitter side, but I drank it anyway and still enjoyed my visit. The café is clean and well maintained, and the overall environment is comfortable and inviting. Despite the minor issue with my coffee, I would still recommend Temple Coffee Roasters for anyone looking for a quality coffee experience in a great setting.

I came here on a weekday morning, and there were plenty of people using the spacious cafe to work. I tried a regular hot latte. It was smooth, rich, and had a good balanced flavor and milk that was steamed nicely. The space itself is warm and comforting, and the staff were friendly and cheerful for a gloomy Sacramento morning!

First coffee shop visit of 2026 and I had to go with Temple! I have been to a few of their other locations but this location takes the win in terms of coziness. I'm a cold brew type of person and I always look forward to getting a cold brew from Temple knowing how smooth their's is. I came at a perfect time as well because after I ordered my drink there ended up being a line formed to the door so it was nice to get a head start.

The iced mocha is delicious. Not syrupy or overly sweet but balanced between coffee and chocolate flavor. Opted for 2% milk instead of whole, add whip cream (which was homemade). The blackberry chocolate donut was not very good. Very cakey which would have been fine if it was flavorful but somehow the chocolate was muted and the blackberry was neither tart or sweet. Overall a vibe, and great proximity to the farmers market on weekends, big crowd.

While waiting for our table at Morning Fork, I realized that I hadn't had any coffee. We saw a couple sitting at one of the benches outside and they had coffee. I asked if it was close by. They said, "around the corner" - the best three minute walk result I've made in a while. It reminds me of if the Apple Store and Pete's Coffee merged- they would create Temple Coffee Roasters. Service was impressive. They offer a lot of different coffee options as well as espresso drinks made with tonic. I will have to try that next time. I opted for their drip coffee. The blend was very well flavored, didn't require much cream or sugar, and it definitely hit the spot. The Kid ordered the Mexican hot chocolate with whipped cream. She said it was very good as well. Sacramento Midtown is such a gem. There's something special just about every place you go.

"Note" very hard to find parking spaces on the street. This place is definitely a popular destination as there was a line out the door, considering how many people were in the establishment I felt the line actually moved fairly quickly. walking you can't help but notice the floor and all the counters are made with wall to wall laminated real pennies! So cool. They sell their own specialty roasted beans " I bought a bag of decaf" my son-in-law got his favorite cold brew with cherry soda. " he let me try some, I must say it was quite good" they also sell doughnuts, cakes etc. they do have tables to sit at but as crowded as they were seating is a premium. Overall the ambience, prices, service, quality of coffee, and food. I have to give this place five stars.

Seasonal Drink: Strawberry Bergamot Milk Tea

I was in town for a brief time (attended a graduation) and I think I went to this place 2 or 3 times. Yet this is the only photo I got of the drink and it's not even in focus! hahaha, this was my first time here. Our friends recommended we come give this place a try and let me tell you...it did not disappoint! Staff were really friendly, i felt seen. how did i feel seen? idk they just chatted it up with me and made me feel like it was a safe space yknow? anyway, i wanted to try a seasonal drink and was recommended their strawberry bergamot milk tea when i asked "what is the sweetest drink you got?" this drink literally taste like a boba drink, i really like how i can taste the earl grey in it. The vibes were great, would come back here again!

Of all the coffee shops in Sacramento, Davis, or Folsom there is no better place to get coffee than Temple. Not just this location, every single location they have. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!

We usually go to this Temple location for coffee after dining at Revolution…read more While the coffee and pastries are good, this location seems to always be packed. It's hard to find a spot to sit and we usually end up at the counter sitting on barstools which isn't ideal if you're short. Most of the customers have laptops and will usually occupy a table for an extensive amount of time. While I have nothing against working at a coffee shop, it's challenging to find a spot to relax after a long day and a good meal. Parking is also a challenge. Best bet is to park in the garage because the lot is tiny and street parking is an even bigger challenge. Service has been consistently great. They do a great job of producing quality drinks without a long wait time. All in all, this is a convenient option, but not my favorite.

The space is welcoming and cozy and they have a variety of seating including a couch, window seats, small tables, and a larger table. The staff here is always friendly, and you'll often run into the owner, Donovan, you can tell he has a lot of regulars because everyone is excited to say "hi" and strike up a conversation with Donovan. Even when Donovan isn't there the team is always so friendly. They have a really cool variety of coffee available including special fermentation flavors that are available in drinks as well as beans for sale. All of them have such fun, unique and delicious flavors. You'll definitely want to explore the menu and this is a rare spot where I order something different each time I visit, instead of settling into a regular order. They also have art on display that's for sale as well as other items for sale from local businesses as well as to help with all your coffee consumption needs. I love browsing the options for sale and I usually pick up a new bag of coffee beans each time I visit. On top of having delicious coffee, supporting other local businesses, and providing a comfortable and welcoming environment, they also are eco-friendly and utilize an emissions free, electric roasting process and they use special take-out cups that are also more eco friendly. I really appreciate the thought and work that has gone into the Anchor and Tree experience, and all the small details really add up to an experience that keeps me coming back.

First off they do a unique roast using an electric roaster vs traditional gas roasters. This proccess still produces delicious beans but is more carbon efficient. Not only is it delicious but it's better for the planet! The staff is all amazingly friendly and helpful. We did a coffee roasting class and it was so enjoyable and worth it If you can do it! If you're more the type to make coffee at home I also recommend grabbing their beans! It's my go to bean for espresso! If you see this coffee place while downtown you have to drop in. You won't regret it!

It is very cutesy inside and you can tell there is a sense of life and community there which I am very fond of. There are lots of tables and cute picturesque lighting so if you want a nice place to get work done this is the perfect spot!! Dillon (if my memory is correct) was the one that ran our session...they were dooopppee. The interior is modern, relaxed and open. They have rooms you could rent (by the hour) and their coffee is pretty freakin good, especially if you prefer dark roasts like I do (the farmers blend is really good). Yes, coffee prices are fancy coffee prices. There is variety here and the coffee actually has distinctive tastes. If I am back in the area, and in the mood to have some caffeine, I will stop by.
