It was crowded full of students. We ordered at the kiosk and waited about 5 min to get our drinks. We were lucky to place our order before a line started after us. Drinks were good. My boys finished all of it. Service was not bad.

I forgot how good the drinks were at iTea. Service is pretty quick. The food is not bad tho I think ramen is kind of pricey. But at least they have ramen and you can get both a drink and a meal. The vibe is nice and they have outlets for your laptop. Definitely worth giving it a shot. If you can't pick a drink start with their matcha! Solid A

big itea fan :) have never had a bad drink here and love their snacks! their popcorn chicken is one of my favs and i like their fruit teas a lot. the interior is pretty small and gets packed but they have some outdoor seating as well! drinks do take some time to get out but nothing crazy. would recommend!

Jasmine green milk tea with boba

As a boba enthusiast, itea is my fav place in Davis to get boba. The drinks are reasonable priced and reliably taste good. Unlike other places I've gone where the boba can have an off aftertaste and even be hard and crunchy, iTea boba is usually fresh and chewy. Service is fast even on busy days and the restaurant has plenty of outdoor seating, though I usually take my drink and go on with my day.

Itea is a classic staple to the Davis town. A ton of variety to choose from- milk teas, hot teas, smoothies, fruit teas. My favorite is the strawberry fruit tea with lychee and boba. Since this place is close to campus, EXPECT the crowdedness. The good thing is they have indoor and outdoor tables. I typically take it to go and walk around Davis. The food and drinks are consistent. One thing to mention is that you have little to no interaction with workers. You order on the tablets or order online. One of the best in Davis.

As I like drinking milk tea, I have tried drinks and popcorn chicken from many stores, but the basil popcorn chicken in this store is the best I have ever tasted. One problem is about packing bag fees. I usually order their takeout, but the last time I went to pick up food from the store, I had a bad impression of it. When the food was ready, I asked for a packing bag, so I could take the food away. But I was told there was a charge for the packing bag. In the end, I had to leave holding a huge pile of food with both hands. When I placed the order on DoorDash, there was not prompted for additional packaging fees. This is my only dissatisfaction with this store, but overall, their food and milk tea are pretty good.

Can't comment on service either; will likely update when trying in person. I'm kind of teetering in between 3 to 4 stars but ultimately decided with 4. The first comment I want to make is that the food is expensive but the portions are really big. I think that you can definitely eat at least two meals out of a single order. Primarily, the reason for the 4 star consideration is because of how big the portions are. I got a mixed BBQ rice plate with the short rib, beef, and chicken katsu. It was definitely good food but could be better. I think it was missing some sauce and the food was SOOOO salty. The star of the show was definitely the short ribs and they had a nice balance of fat to meat ratio and went great with the rice. The beef was a little bit on the chewier side and the katsu was a bit dry. The sauce that they did provide was a sort of sweet and sour sauce but just didn't pair all that well with the meat. The sweetish-tangy contrasted quite poorly but this is a just personal taste so can't dock too much for it. Overall, I think it is good and I will try to go in-person. Recommend if you're a fan of the cuisine or in the area! Big portion, fair price. Decent food.

The owner had recognized me as a frequent and always gave me a new side dish to try. It's a different cuisine that I'm used to but I'm not afraid to try new things. I've always enjoyed these dishes because they're always on the spicier side. I'm a fan of spicier food. I normally get hotpot when I come here, TomYum with medium spice. I've seen other reviews that say the chef doesn't care how spicy you ask for it but I've felt it's been pretty consistent. I also switch between the proteins and regardless of which protein it has a fresh taste. This is not an average AYCE hotpot. The dish normally comes with veggies, tofu. grain of choice and your protein of choice It's a different restaurant dining experience with the hotpot meals. With hotpot, here are a few tips for first time diners. It's HOTpot, it will be hot temperature wise. You will burn your tongue if you're not careful enough. Get an extra bowl and put some of your dish in there while you leave some of your ingredients to cook. I have tried different noodles and rice, I've preferred rice. Noodles can overcook easily and soak in the liquid, making them Use the sauces provided! I like to use vinegar, sesame sauce and chili sauce. I mix them and put some in each serving bowl of mine. Servings are usually big here, I can finish it if I'm hungry. If you don't eat much I recommend sharing it with a friend. Overall, excellent customer service! Love the food as well, and definitely a must try.

We chose the table because the booths looked uncomfortable. Another couple of diners came to eat while we were there. I had the Yellow Curry. I added chicken for an additional $3 because the basic dish was just sauce with potato and carrot. Most other restaurants include a protein in the price. The dish itself was just OK, it was a bit too sweet, I guess from the coconut milk. The portion size was good, I'll get an additional meal from the leftovers. My friend had the Pad Kee Mow and she graded it "A". Perhaps I made the wrong choice or am more finicky about my food. After eating the waiter came by holding a tablet saying he could take payment. He didn't show us the totals, just said we could give him our credit cards. We did so and we each asked for a printed receipt. When I got my receipt I saw there were two totals, one for cash and the other for credit (worked out to be a 3% fee.) That was never mentioned, neither by the waiter nor by the menu. I usually pay by cash but when the waiter said he'd take our cards, I assumed that was the preferred payment method.

I went from a thin top to a medium weight sweater. We arrived in Davis I grabbed my jacket to pair with my sweater. Today was a day spent exploring Davis to see the California Conference for the Advancement of Ceramic Arts (CCACA). What a great Conference. We come each year for this Conference and explore Davis every time we are here. After exploring the first building of the show it was coming on time to eat. We looked around the current shopping center and my husband didn't see anything he was craving. He said we'll go more into town and look for a noodle place. He said he remembered one from our last visit, down one of the alleys. Walking up the street we saw a couple of advertisements. A sandwich board was on the sidewalk for Davis Noodle CIty, the exact place we were looking for. The little Noodle Shop in the alley. We weaved through the other businesses, past the dumpling restaurant, past the outdoor seating and to the front door of the Davis Noodle City Restaurant. The out door seating looked really welcoming, but it was chilly out so we opted for eating inside with the other table that was occupied. There were 3 parties eating outside when we arrived. When we walked inside we were greeted and told to take any table. We choose a table in the corner. The menus were under the glass table top, keeping it clean and easy to read. Each place setting had its own copy of the menu. After looking at the menu, remembering what was offered on the sandwich board in front, and cross referencing it with Yelp Reviews we started ordering. We opted for the Five Spice Beef Noodles, and I asked if that was a good option and she said it was their top seller. The Yelp Reviews were only ok for that dish, but I took our chances. The second dish we ordered was the Dan Dan Noodles She tried to upscale us to the one with vegetables, but that dish was a cold dish so we when for the standard Dan Dan Noodles. Both dishes came out quickly. The Dan Dan noodles were not spicy as I anticipated, which was good, I wasn't really looking for spicy. I liked the flavor and realized that if you mixed it up there is a sauce on the bottom that is really tasty. Dan Dan Noodles ($8.25 a steal) is a solid dish and I highly reccomend it. It's a great bowlful of noodles. If you are hopping for other ingredients you are out of luck, it's 100% noodles with a sprinkling of peanuts on top and a sauce on the bottom. The Five Spice Beef Noodle Soup ($12.75)was as described in the reviews. It comes with American Broccoli and carrots. The beef is so good it melts in your mouth. The broth is minimal and lacked flavor. I'd think that it's advertised as Five Spice that it would have more flavor. I don't reccomend it if you are looking for a strong flavor. If you are looking for great meat, that melts in your mouth, but is also a little fatty then you have the perfect dish. Both dishes came with fresh noodles, none of those dried and rehydrated noodles that some places serve. The noodles on both dishes were different and pleasant. I highly reccomend their fresh noodles. Customer service was good. She came to check up on us and was pleasant. Parking is street parking. And they have a bathroom on site that is clean and well stocked.

I am usually a defender of these kinds of restaurants --- slightly below average rating due to poor…read moreservice is the mindset I try to approach them with. Unfortunately, this place has both bad service and food is not great. 2 stars for the price. Food (3/10) - I don't know how to describe it outside of the fact that it's just bland. I got the "Marco Polo noodles" which is just Chinese jia jiang mien. Let's start with the positives. I liked the noodle texture; it had a nice spring and were thick for a decent chew. Now, onto the bad. You could just tell that the noodles would be bland just by a look and smell. The smell of the bowl wasn't one of fragrant stir-fried pork but it actually smelled like starchy water. The sauce was super watery and had no flavor and I don't think there was even ground pork in the noodles. From what I could tell, it was some diced up mushroom and then black bean paste, without black bean flavor might I add. I had to add a GENEROUS amount of soy sauce and chili oil to make it taste decent. Honestly, I'd say it's pretty hard to mess up this dish as a whole and there's a lot of leeway on flavor but I have not tasted something that bland in a while. On the opposite end of the spectrum, we have the thai tea. This thing was so sweet that it was borderline undrinkable. I had to wait for the ice to melt in the drink before it was bearable and even then, it still left this residual sticky taste in my mouth. Also it's 4 dollars for canned thai tea; she grabbed it out the fridge. The only sort of saving grace of this restaurant is that it's relatively cheap. $12.50 for a good portion of noodles might convince me to go back(?) VERY BIG maybe though. I might want to try their soup noodles. Service (5/10) - It didn't really seem like she wanted me to be there. She kind of just sat behind the counter on her phone with an Airpod in the whole time. She was just on her phone the whole time and overall inattentive. When she was, she was just asking if I was ready to order (twice in the span of under 3-ish minutes). Ambiance (6/10) - Eh. It was just kinda weird. The lighting was dingy. Also didn't like how they left dirty tables around (clearly looked like they had been there for a while). Overall, probably wouldn't visit again. Might give it a second chance but food for price was pretty good. Unfortunately, bad food for good price is a no-go for me.
