My family enjoys coming here for Bambada's shareable plates, about once a year…read more BIG fan of the clam bibimbap; if I'm visiting, there will always be an order of it for the table. Bossam is served with a fun variety of sides like tofu, pickles, and radish. The deep fried oysters + pancake options (seafood and potato both) have not let us down, though the pancakes are a little small for the price imo. Have only had their signature seafood pot once; it was fresh though not memorable enough to be something we gravitate towards.

Solid seafood place near Coquitlam Centre…read more Parking is available in the lot in front of the building. The place looks nice and modern. Comfortable cushy chairs, and wooden trim. Staff are friendly but understaffed. Once the place filled up they were swamped. Signature steamed seafood pot - definitely on the pricey side, but they don't skimp out. Special mention for the presentation. Plenty of goodies including an entire lobster, half a large octopus (tenticle/arm half), snails, oysters, scallops, prawns, and fish balls among others. Basically everything without fish. Served in a large tray (the ones seen at banquet buffets), and everything cooked in broth. This was enough to probably feed 4-5 adults (assuming average appetites). So pretty. Deep fried squid with fries - honestly this dish was meh. Basically exactly what it sounds like. Squid is tempura style. Nothing special. I'd skip this one. Bossam (pork belly wraps) - served with tofu and spicy kimchi and some vegetable (kelp?) as well. They don't really give enough wraps compared to the pork slices. Decent portion size. My friends and I gobbled this up. This place also serves makgeolli (Korean rice wine) for a very reasonable price. Goes well with the food. Overall my friends and I left happy. Wouldn't mind coming back at some point to try some other dishes. Recommended.

The dipping sauces for each respective order paired nicely with the food. On another visit, I thoroughly enjoyed the soondaeguk and left feeling happily stuffed. Dookbaeki might just be my default local spot for soups. With a large seating space, we were seated immediately (came just after 8 on a Thursday evening with a party of 6) though they can get busy! Last time I visited ~6pm there were few tables open but were seated quickly as well.

I went for the sogogi dolsot bibimbap. It was served quickly and came with a large variety of banchan. I loved the bottle of spicy red sauce and probably added way too much, but it was so tasty. The rice crisped up on the dolsot at the bottom and provided a nice texture. The kimchi banchan was delicious so was the fish cake banchan. I recently saw a few foodies post about this spot so I assume they're going to get pretty busy soon. I will try and get a group of friends next time so we can try more things. You also get a yakult at the end of your meal. Easy parking in the lot, or pay parking on Anson. Come check it out!

They offer a variety of meat, cuts, and combo deals but on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, they have an all beef and all pork all you can eat. We went on a Wednesday and it was all you can eat pork belly and marinated pork, with a soup and unlimited kimchi pancake and sides all for $30. The servers were extremely attentive in asking about refills, whether that's the rice, meats or even side dishes. A great bang for your buck for all you can eat these days. We heard the staff speaking to many customers in Korean so it must be Koreans approved. Need to come back on a Tuesday to try their beef all you can eat!

I was craving this soup and glad I tried it here because it hit the spot! Tasted delicious, didn't have to wait for a table, and it was reasonably priced then. Came back here last night for dinner with my family and was finally able to try the bbq items. It was a hit! We ordered 2 of the combo A which was the perfect servings for 2 adults and 3 (very hungry!) teenaged boys. Not only did it come with 3 meat types (thinly sliced pork belly, marinated beef Bulgogi, and one other thinly sliced beef), it also came with soup, banchan, and a big bowl of Bibimbap. We also ordered their seafood pancake which was perfectly crispy and not too thin or thick. The actual bbq grill itself was the best one I've seen at a Korean restaurant because it was non-stick, temperature controlled really well, and it didn't leave us smelling like the food after dining. The ventilation must've been good here as it wasn't super smoky at all. The best dish was definitely the bean paste soup! We all loved it and had never tried it before, so next time we have Korean, it will be a staple in our order! It wasn't too busy last night so we were seated right away. Staff were friendly and while they were short-staffed, they were quick enough to get what we requested and ordered in a timely manner.

Very flavourful. If you love onions, order this. Came with PURPLE RICE. I love Korean purple rice (which I believe is a mix of many different grains added to white rice). Unfortunately most Korean restaurants in Vancouver do not have purple rice. -Cold Noodle (14.99$, but they have a lunch special where, for 16.99$, you get two potato pancakes): At first I was hesitant to order this because I love buckwheat (dark gray/purplish colour) cold noodles, and these weren't those, but am so happy we did. I love the texture. The flavour of the broth was also excellent. My only qualm was the "cucumber garnishes" that, in my opinion, were actually too-sweet pickles. Other than that, highly recommend. Potato pancakes were also very yummy. They served complimentary barley tea, and had yummy banchans (kimchi radish, fish cake, and soy sauce pickled onions). The waitress (daughter of the owner-her mother) was very kind and patient with all my questions. Affordable, delicious, authentic, with good portion sizes.

We were welcomed at the entrance and I explained we had never been, the host took his time to explain each page of the menu and suggest a few of his favourites. Every member of my family raved about how delicious each bite was, and there was plenty of food for all of us (maybe even too much!) the Sooba Box dish was my favourite... although I have to say the corn cheese was possibly the best I've ever tried!! The staff were attentive and so kind, the decor is cool and bright with funky little touches throughout the restaurant. The japchae barely had meat in it and was 90% noodle. The seafood pancake barely had seafood in it with it mostly being imitation crab and batter.
