Dmitri was out the day after I called Heatwave, did his own assessment, offered advice and did more to actually address the problems -- and while his ultimate diagnosis (replacement) was the same, it felt a lot less like I was being pressured to spend any more money than was needed. Will definitely call again.

I looked at reviews online for HVAC providers. The reviews for Heatwave (not on their website, which I would expect to be positive) were extremely positive 4.9 on 150+ reviews, almost too good to be true. These guys were a pleasure to deal with. Dimitri, the owner came out promptly to assess the noise issue, diagnosed the problem, and said "I can replace the motor and you can probably get a few more years, maybe", out of this and gave me a ballpark cost. The furnace issues were more severe. I decided to replace both AC & furnace. The price quoted for a Trane unit was very fair. The install crew Ivan & Arvy were very experienced. The install went smoothly. My phone calls or texts were answered promptly, they showed up on time and everyone I dealt with was very professional. I can't recommend them highly enough. And, no I'm not a friend or a relative, just a very satisfied customer. Believe the reviews; they are true. If I could give them 6 stars I would.

While the technicians themselves were friendly, my overall experience with Summit was disappointing…read more-- particularly given that they had been highly recommended by a neighbor. After the fourth visit and two failed inspections, I asked to speak with the owner. He said he'd show up on the final day and didn't. Not showing up after committing to do so speaks volumes. On multiple occasions, employees attempted to -- or did -- walk through my home beyond where work was being completed with their shoes on. This is a basic courtesy that should not have needed to be addressed. On the final day, an employee complained about the time spent waiting for the inspector to arrive. After five+ weeks of doing exactly that myself, I couldn't help but laugh internally. Most importantly, Summit advertises a "100% Right or 100% Free" guarantee on their website. These are not complicated words -- 100% means 100%, and free means free. There is no secondary meaning to either. When I raised this, I was told it essentially means they will keep trying until the job is done correctly -- which is admirable in theory, but falls well short of what "100% Free" implies when a customer has invested THOUSANDS of dollars. After reading the other reviews, I'm hoping the problem with my AC wasn't just a leak somewhere that could have been fixed for much less. I would strongly encourage potential customers to clarify what that guarantee truly means before signing a contract, and to get everything in writing.

Dorothy offered to schedule a tech that afternoon and then started running through the most common causes. With her on the line I found a blown fuse on the units motherboard and was able to replace it (props to Home Depot for having them in stock). Within ~10 minutes, got a call from this company who asked some basic questions and troubleshooted some things over the phone, without even talking amount payment or price. When that didn't work after an hour, I messaged back and they got me on the schedule for the next day (it was already 5pm by this time. They came promptly during the window and gave me heads up, figured out the issue in less than 15 minutes, and gave me a range of options and prices. He actually taught me several things about the AC and showed me how to do some repairs myself and where to get parts, and lo and behold it worked like a charm! Couldn't be happier with the quality, speed, and friendliness of the service. Got my AC pumping ice cold air in time to get the house cool for my kids' naps. Davey will absolutely be my go-to from now on and I would recommend them to anyone and everything.

Unfortunately, I don't remember the name of the lady who answered the phone and made my appointments, but she was very kind, professional and knowledgeable. Matt came to do the maintenance. He showed me how horribly dirty the inside of the furnace was. Yikes! I should mention that our "periodic" maintenance was far from the recommended annual maintenance, and the furnace is old. Anyway, he cleaned it beautifully and inspected it. The air in the house even smelled better. And he recommended having the ducts cleaned.   Alexander came to clean the ducts. He showed me lots of dust and dirt, and apparently animal hair inside. When he was done, I could see how incredibly clean the ducts were, and how much ugly stuff he had vacuumed out. The house smelled even better!  Shortly after the duct cleaning, the furnace stopped heating. The ignition had worn out. It was working when Matt came, but it was just old and happened to wear out. So I had the pleasure of meeting Angel, who came and replaced the ignition the same day I called. I'd give this company 10 stars if I could. They have always provided an amazingly quick response, which I especially appreciated with a cold night on the way. And I was very impressed by the outstanding knowledge and attitude of every one of the technicians I met. They were willing to explain everything I wanted to know, and in a way that I could understand. I highly recommend 888 Heating to anyone looking for excellent heating or air conditioning service!

Josh came out to fix two sump pump issues…read more The first was that the pump wasn't working. We were discussing the problem while we at the by the pump and he found that the issue was an electrical problem in the outlet. The wires inside the outlet weren't screwed down. Instead of having me call an electrician or fix the problem myself, I turned off the breaker and Josh tightened the wires. The second issue was a leak in the extraction pipe. Josh had to leave to get parts to fix that issue. He told me exactly what he was going to do and he did it. He and his wife had excellent communication with me from start to finish which is always greatly appreciated. It's been a few months since he came to my home and everything is still working perfectly. I highly recommend Peak Innovation Plumbing.
