I have recently had three excellent visits from 888 Heating. I needed to have some periodic maintenence done on our heating system. When I saw 888's high reviews, I called them. Unfortunately, I don't remember the name of the lady who answered the phone and made my appointments, but she was very kind, professional and knowledgeable. Matt came to do the maintenance. He showed me how horribly dirty the inside of the furnace was. Yikes! I should mention that our "periodic" maintenance was far from the recommended annual maintenance, and the furnace is old. Anyway, he cleaned it beautifully and inspected it. The air in the house even smelled better. And he recommended having the ducts cleaned.   Alexander came to clean the ducts. He showed me lots of dust and dirt, and apparently animal hair inside. When he was done, I could see how incredibly clean the ducts were, and how much ugly stuff he had vacuumed out. The house smelled even better!  Shortly after the duct cleaning, the furnace stopped heating. The ignition had worn out. It was working when Matt came, but it was just old and happened to wear out. So I had the pleasure of meeting Angel, who came and replaced the ignition the same day I called. I'd give this company 10 stars if I could. They have always provided an amazingly quick response, which I especially appreciated with a cold night on the way. And I was very impressed by the outstanding knowledge and attitude of every one of the technicians I met. They were willing to explain everything I wanted to know, and in a way that I could understand. I highly recommend 888 Heating to anyone looking for excellent heating or air conditioning service! read more

Service is kind of spotty. It's been good and bad especially with regular service calls and maintenance. This is the second time that the technician has been in an accident and failed to call me and let me know. The office or technician should reach out! Last year, after doing extensive research, we hired 888 to install a new furnace and heat pump, as well as a smart thermostat, for our house. They were not the cheapest or the most expensive but they have great reviews so we trusted that and the people we spoke with for the estimate. They came out and it took two full days for them to finish the job. They worked 12 hour days and made sure everything was working perfectly before leaving. Every time we had an issue (which were always small things) they came out within an hour or two. When the city inspector came out to give everything the ok, he said that they never have any problems with work done by 888. That was very reassuring. This year we had them come out to replace our other furnace and install another heat pump and smart thermostat. My house needs two furnaces but because of the requirements for tax incentives, we could only replace one per year. Tom, Omar, and Lee worked for two whole days and made sure everything was working perfectly. They made sure to put down drop cloths from the front door all the way to the basement and into the furnace room so they wouldn't track in any snow or dirt. They were conscientious and hard working and cleaned up after themselves nicely. They addressed all of our questions and made sure we were happy before they left. They do still need to get us the frame that goes around our new thermostat but I'm sure that will be done soon. read more

We've been loyal 888 Heating customers for years. We had our first experience with Fix-it 24/7 today. It was not good! We were given a 1-5 hr window for a routine a/c checkup. About 2 hours into that window we got a call from Fix-it telling us a tech would be here in about 1/2 hour. That's the last we heard from them. The tech finally arrived, but 15 minutes past the end of the window. I had just started eating supper which I had to interrupt to deal with him. He said he would need about an hour to do what he needed which we couldn't accommodate. He said he would take some pictures then offered to come back the next day at a time of our choosing which we agreed to do. Although he arrived driving a Fix-it logoed, he was not wearing a Fix-it uniform, something we expect service providers to do before we let them inside. I would say the tech was appropriately apologetic and did what he could to resolve the missed appointment. In fact, he's the reason this review is getting 2 stars instead of 1. In my recollection, I can't remember 888 Heating missing an appointment. I hope this situation is the result of merger hiccups and does not reflect the quality of service I came to expect from 888 Heating. read more

I have used this company for several years. I had 888 install my new furnace, ac unit and water heater a little over 5 years ago and the install and service since then has been very good. In addition, I have used their maintenance contract to keep the system serviced and have not had a problem until today. I called several weeks ago to schedule the routine service for the ac unit and was expecting a tech between 1-5. today. I get up at 4AM to get to work and work until noon. Around 2PM I called to find out when they would be arriving and was told they needed to reschedule the appointment because of staffing issues. The person I spoke with indicated they tried to call me around 10:30 that morning. The only call I received at work was someone asking for William and I indicated they had the wrong number. The person I spoke with rescheduled the appointment for later in June. I asked to have a manager from customer service call me to discuss the situation and was told Tawny would call me back later the same day but did not receive that call. This merger with Mr. Fix It might better be called Mr. Screw It Up. I question that they would show up if I had an urgent problem. read more

I purchased a DAIKEN HVAC system about 3 years ago from 888 Heating and A/C and I schedule annual maintenance inspections. This time, Mark and Alexander came out to do the annual furnace maintenance. They did an outstanding job. They took time to explain their process and showed me before and after photos of their work, which even included removing and cleaning the motor and blower housing. They were skilled and focused. It gave me confidence that they really cared about the work they were doing. It was reassuring to me that they both did everything to assure that the furnace would perform well in the upcoming winter cold. A great job! read more

The guys who came were great, especially Mark Huerta. They came in figure out what the issue was, and grabbed the parts and finished in a day. Which was very important to us. The company was super responsive as well. The value unfortunately is what kept me from giving them a 5 star. I am still under warranty on my 2.5 year old water heater and it cost me over $1,000 dollars to have the heating elements and thermostats replaced. (A very quick job). I've been quoted by other plumbers since and I feel like I was gouged a bit. All that being said. If you need something done quickly these guys are great, and great people. I had 888 heating and cooling install a new American Standard Furnace, Coil, Condenser and Aprilaire steam humidifier. I'm a research guy. I've been told I'm very hard to please because I'm particular in what I want. I believe if I pay for something I should get it. I got that with 888 Heating and Cooling. I had searched for over 2 summers and had several big name heating and A/C companies come out to give me quotes. I searched Yelp, google, BBB, Angies list, you name it, researching and reading reviews and doing my homework to help me choose a good and honest company to change out my hvac system. Called 888 for a second opinion after plumbline came out the day before to figure out what was wrong my my AC not cooling. Plumbline didn't even look at the AC itself. Said it was the board on my furnace that wasn't relaying signals and not turning on the AC. They wanted an insane amount to repair. Called 888 and they had Bryan out here the next day. He looked turned down the thermostat and went to look at the AC unit. It's running and working. But needed a charge and good cleaning and some stop-leak stuff since he thought there could be a leak somewhere. In and out in roughly and hour. Professional, tidy, good guy. Garrett went out of his way to ensure that my husband was satisfied and comfortable with the HVAC system that we selected to purchase. We love the electronic-controlled blower which we consider to be a variable speed blower - it starts at a lower, slower speed and is very quiet as it then slowly increases its speed as the system runs. During the hottest days of the summer our air conditioner broke down. I was able to get an appointment two days later. The technician was very knowledgeable, a piece that needed to be replaced was not in his truck. He had to leave to their warehouse to pick it up but said he would be back in 30 Minutes. He was good for his word and our air conditioner was repaired within a few minutes if his return. No heat! Is there anything worse in this coldest winter? Called these guys and they were in our house before the scheduled time! Dari explained what was going on - we have a old farmhouse - and gave us numerous options. We debated everything from complete overhaul to crossing our fingers. Then Garrett, the owner stopped in on is way home from work...work is in Centennial, we all live in Brighton so you know they cover the metro area. He looked at the issue and in laypersons' terms explained again what was happening and what could be done to fix it. Now you know as well as I do that nobody wants to put in a new heating system if they don't have to. Ours is antiquated - the system is original to the house - and while we were talking, the heat kicked on. Now I know Garrett did something while he looked at it. Within two hours of the initial phone call they had me scheduled for an appointment and the technician was en route. Justin arrived exactly on time. They were in-line cost wise with two other quotes I got, but they truly went the extra mile by fixing some issues that were present when the furnace was installed years ago. My experience with 888 started with a service call when my 18 year old furnace stopped blowing air the day before snow was in the forecast. My usual HVAC company couldn't get out for three days. 888 didn't have availability, but said they would see if they could fit me in, and called back with an early morning appointment the next day between 8 and 10. Bryan arrived promptly at 8, diagnosed the problem and got the furnace working. No hard sell for a new system, but did say my furnace was limping along with a motor that was leaking oil, and I already knew I was on borrowed time due to previous service.
