Would rate this a zero if possible…read more Our relationship with Patriot Pros Plumbing and Heating started when our tankless water heater failed to produce heat. The previous maintainer/contractor was Chad's Pumbing. After making the call to Chad, we discovered that the call now went to Patriot Pros. (who likely took over the business and renamed it). After a short dialogue and desperate to get hot water, we agreed to pay the $289 trip fee to Patriot Pros. knowing that it would later be applied to any work they would do. The representative informed us that our 17 year old Rinnai could not be repaired and needed replacement which seemed reasonable. Then, what followed seemed beyond reasonable. He quoted about $25,000 for a replacement Navien of equivalent size. We pondered and agonized over this unexpected expense and began to question the underlying premises. First, they refuse to provide any itemization of all the cost elements, while secondly, insisting that it would take two days to complete. We declined the offer pending two more additional contractor bids. The big red flag was the significant cost increase from the old Rinnai installation 17 years ago. The original total cost was $3618. Using an inflation calculator, for 2026, I figured an updated cost would be $5632. SIGNIFICANTLY LOWER than Patriot Pros. $25,000 quoted price. The two subsequent contractors both came in around the same price point of about $5000. Patriot Pros. made a big deal out of the fact most contractors may not be licensed and may not pull permits to cut costs. My winning contractor (Comfortably Plumb) is licensed and insisted that a permit be pulled. Comfortably Plumb also agreed to not only install a higher capacity Navien unit, but with the following upgrades: -- Tankless expansion tank --Axiom NeutraPal Neutralizer kit, and a --Scale Prevention system Comfortably Plumb did an outstanding job and would be worthy of your consideration. All for $4968! BTW, the other bidding contractor was in the same ballpark; about $5000. I was incensed at this exploitation and enrolled in Yelp just so I could make this cautionary warning to others. Don't be taken in by their trusty "Patriotic" allure, especially to conservative/elderly audiences. BTW; they also quoted, in addition to the tankless water heater installation, a new air-conditioner and furnace for $54,000! Of course, no itemized details. I feel fleeced for the $289 dispatch fee that I lost, but it could have been so much worse. Buyer beware.

I called Jump to fix a control Transformer and was pleased to get a same day appointment…read more Adam showed up on time and proceeded to diagnosis the issue. His expertise noticed a couple of installation errors , one of them was related to the control transformer. He was able to fix and completely remove the failing transformer and utilize the furness control panel instead, nice clean solution as the manufacture intended. The other installation error was causing condensation to not exit correctly and was leaking water that was rusting the front wall pan. I was unaware of this and was looking at having to replace a 4 year old furness if the rusting was to proceed or had already damaged the integrity of the wall. Adam checked the wall out and concluded that the heating element integrity was still good and the wall had not been compromised to the point of furness replacement. Without Adam's knowledge and skills I would be in a bad spot in the near future from the poor installation. I'm very pleased and happy with the outcome, thanks to Adam and do recommend JumpHVAC.

This is another one of my awful first-time homeowner experiences, where I mistakenly trusted the…read morewrong person, Frank, who was referred to me by an HOA board member and his real estate agent wife. One week before I had hand surgery in April 2023, when the temperatures were near zero up until the 20s, one week before I was scheduled to have anesthesia, so I definitely needed reliable heating, my furnace stopped working. Short for time, I mistakenly trusted my HOA board member and his wife's referral. First, Frank failed to give me a choice of furnaces, or walk me through the decision-making process, like my HVAC/Electrical company now, to whom I've been loyal for the past 2+ years. I was not told about single stage vs. dual, or brands, or heat pumps. Frank decided for me. Then he failed to get it up to code, which I later had my current HVAC/Electrician company do, based on a retroactive home inspection, since I assumed the VA Loan/Mortgage on my dad's, now my, house. Then - I learned from my current HVAC/Electrician company - he failed to pull the permit, so I had to work with the regulators, to fix his work. Then there was the fact that he left my house early - without turning on the heat - to go to his son's court appearance, after berating his other son in front of me all day, during the install. Unprofessional - and awkward. So I had to contact my neighborhood handyman to jump start the new thermostat that Frank installed, with my handyman's HVAC guy, to turn on heat. He also sold me a water heater, which didn't necessarily need to be replaced, but given I survived a water heater burst in Arlington, VA, I decided: "sure, why not," for ~$1,500. He - yet again - selected the Bradford White product for me, simply convincing me it was the best based on its marketing/sales slogans/labels, but fine, sure, whatever, it's been working fine. What he failed to do was - yet again - protect my investment, and get it up-to-code, by also installing the proper shut-off valves, as well as a pressure/expansion tank. I had my new plumber and HVAC/Electrician QA/do this work. Then there was the fact that he flippantly told me I didn't need to move all the family photos & art work on the stars leading from my ranch style house to the basement, only to knock them off, damage them, and I had to essentially force him to return to fix everything. Needless to say, given the thousands of dollars of investment in the furnace and water heater, I had to work with my financial institution to refund me, which they did, and given my subsequent May 2024 skin cancer diagnosis & June 2024 Mohs surgery, followed by my July 2024 Breast Cancer diagnosis & healing journey, I delayed posting this review. I also learned from my new/current contractors that many technicians in Colorado are untrained, and/or not properly licensed, or - in Frank's case - they are, but he just doesn't care about following rules/regulations.

I'm a realtor and as such I deal with lots of HVAC issues. Frank and his team were recommended by a…read morefellow agent, and I've had nothing but positive experiences and results with them. VERY knowledgeable and reasonably priced. Highly Recommended.
