Stay Far Away from Patrick at Affordable Plumbers - Rude, Overpriced, and Completely Unprofessional If you value your time, money, and sanity, do not hire Patrick at Affordable Plumbers. This was, without a doubt, one of the worst customer service experiences I have ever had with a so-called "professional." From the start, Patrick had an awful attitude. When I called to ask about service, he acted like I was bothering him. He was short, dismissive, and downright rude. He made no effort to be helpful. At that point, I knew I would never give him my business. I found another plumber who was professional, respectful, and charged a fair rate--something Patrick is clearly incapable of doing. If you're considering hiring Patrick at Affordable Plumbers, DON'T. He is rude and Unprofessional. There are so many good plumbers out there who actually value their customers--Patrick is NOT one of them. Do yourself a favor and take your business elsewhere! read more

We have been working with Pat for a few years now. He is the best! I told him I wanted to get my husband a fancy toilet for Christmas and he handled everything. He told me what kind to get (which I bought off of Amazon) and installed it for us. Thanks Pat! read more

I wouldn't call this company in a million years after witnessing a man driving one of their vehicles committing a road rage incident. As it is, I'll be reporting it to the police. The man jerked his huge vehicle into the lane he wanted to merge into without regard for the fact that there was already a car in that lane. The man driving the vehicle he almost crashed into had to slam on his brakes and stop to avoid being hit or forced into oncoming traffic. On top of this, the jerk driving the Affordable Plumber vehicle leaned his arm out the window and flipped the man off, despite the fact that he was the instigator. All of this was completely unnecessary as I was behind the man he nearly hit, and was leaving plenty of room for him to merge. I would never want someone with so little regard for life, property, or business reputation working in my home. Disgusting! read more

Sounds like others have had a similar experience to mine...I thought this business would be great based on some of the older reviews, but wow, I'd watch out for this guy. Incredibly unprofessional to say the least. He also makes it very clear that he doesn't care what he puts out because at the end of the day, it won't impact his business, anyway. All I can do is take my business to someone who does care and share with others so that they are aware. read more

I would be very cautious on believing what comes out of Patrick's mouth. improperly diagnosing issued and giving you clients false information is completely unacceptable. unless you want a future problem I wouldn't contact this company or this person. read more

Based on the reviews, I thought working with this company would be a slam dunk...wrong. My husband & I noticed at 4 AM the left handle to the faucet in our master bathroom wouldn't shut the water off & was also leaking onto the top of the sink. I managed to get the handle twisted in just a way that stopped the small stream so it was just an occasional drip. Not an emergency at that point but definitely wanted to get someone out to take a look at it since that sink was now out of commission & I worried the stream might start up again since it started on it's own overnight anyway. Found Affordable Plumber CO on Yelp & they looked attractive because of their advertised 24/7 availability as well as the positive reviews saying as much. We got a response through Yelp to call a number to get on their schedule. My husband called around 7:30 AM to a terse employee. Frankly sounded like our leak was a major inconvenance to them. My husband asked if they were aware of the information we'd sent them through Yelp, got a short no. He quickly explained the issue and asked if they were available today. Also a no, but fine, how about tomorrow? We got a maybe and a request to send a picture of the faucet (which we'd already provided on Yelp but I digress). We were told that depending on the picture they may or may not be able to do the job. Lots of red flags for us so we decided to use another company who coincidently is able to come this morning without any *itching & moaning. Why utilize Yelp as a means of communication & then act like the customer is off their rocker when they use it? Why advertise being a company that is potentially more available then others & be off putting when someone wants to schedule with you, & is being flexible on date/time? I've had all kinds of plumbing done (water heaters, faucet replacements, irrigation related, etc.) on our various properties & I find it interesting that a basic Delta bathroom faucet would be something a company that advertises 25 years master plumbing experience can't handle. It either can be fixed or needs to be replaced. And if it is a replacement that is needed, jokes on this company, because it's been on our to-do list to swap the fixtures to something more our taste. Guess the other plumbing company will potentially get that business of updating our Master Bathroom fixtures as well as any other work in our 5 bathroom house in the future. read more

Pat is the one to call if having problems with your plumbing. He always answers his phone and can usually solve your problems the same day. He carries spare parts on his truck and his prices are very good. read more

We had a leak in our bathroom. The tech was onsite at the time he promised. He and his crew were very polite and attentive to detail. They discovered that the toilet installation had never been completed, hence the leak (way to go KB Homes). The problem was quickly resolved and the cost was very fair. I will use them again if needed. read more

Local Castle Rock PLUMBER Patrick was able to squeeze me in a very busy day to repair a poorly installed hose spigot. Elevated it and installed a hard bracket to properly drain when not in use! From start to finish, he was quick, thorough, and informative. Quick diagnosis to get it fixed properly. Price was right on and significantly less that other estimates we received. Would HIGHLY to recommend owner Patrick from "A Affordable Plumber!".... read more

Great company, Patrick helped increase my water pressure and also installed a gas line in my backyard for my fire pit. Excellent work and provided helpful information before and after the installation. Definitely recommend to all my close friends and will return in the future for additional work. read more

There a SO many other plumbers that don't change $49 to do estimates. And you can other plumbers send them pictures to get estimates. They were the highest estimate, not really the most Afforadable. Poor research for lookiing for plumber was a $49 lesson on me. And I don't appriciate the up sale. read more

Pat is amazing! Professional, honest and reliable!! Always our first call for plumbing needs!

Had a stopped up toilet around New Year's (naturally). Called several plumbers who said they could work us in in a week or so. Called Pat based on his Next Door reviews. He came out in 2 hours and fixed our problem in 5 minutes. Our subsequent interactions with him have also been great. He arrives when he says he will and everything is done perfectly and efficiently. His prices seem reasonable so he gets a big "thumbs up" from us and is now our go-to plumber is we have any issues. read more

My sump pump went out right when we got the massive 3 day rain, go figure. I found Pat onYelp and he was able to get over to my house within an hour and get it replaced. Very friendly, cares about the job he does and most importantly a local Castle Rock small business. read more

Patrick is a great local plumber (Castle Rock area), a true find! Called him about a clogged kitchen drain mid-morning and he arrived by mid-afternoon. Diagnosed and fixed the problem quickly and effectively, also provided some recommendations for prevention/mitigation going forward. Great work, very good value. To top it off, I mentioned that one of my outdoor spigots was leaking and he immediately said "let's check it out." He did and fixed it, even though it probably took him another 15-20 minutes at no additional cost. He'll be my "go to" guy for all plumbing issues going forward. read more

TLDR: They responded in the middle of the night and saved the day for a great price. On Thursday, May 11, during the ridiculous amount of rain, my basement's sump pump failed at about 9 - 11 PM (my husband happened to be downstairs, so we saw the water flowing from a windowless wall into the room that he was in almost as it happened). Having had a sump pump fail before in a different house, I knew what was happening immediately. I called a neighbor and we began immediately trying to fix the sump pump and to clean the [visible] water. Luckily, my sump pump came to life with just a shake of the PVC pipe. Unluckily, it truly and finally died after one last hurrah. After doing that, and realizing that the sump pump wasn't coming back, while watching the water level rise in the reservoir, my husband immediately started going down the list of plumbers on here that service / replace sump pumps. Thankfully Patrick was the first to respond. Not only did he make quick work replacing the sump pump, but he was friendly about it too. He had worked through the night helping other customers and I was fortunate to get him before I had any more problems. If you have a plumbing need, you should definitely check them out. Even in the middle of the night, they'll provide service as fast as they can and for a great price. read more

Excellent. I had a recirculating pump go bad on my water heater on 5/7/2024. I got Affordable number from Yelp. I called Pat and left a message and he returned the call within ten minutes. I told him the problem and he said he would be there tomorrow. It's now 11:04 AM on 5/2/2024 and he just finished replacing the pump. Pat came with all the parts, he installed them all and he removed all the packaging and left the work area clean and neat. I will use them again for any plumbing issues. read more

Top to bottom, great job. I contacted Pat when I needed an estimate for a sump pump installation for a house I was going to buy. He gave me a ballpark estimate so I could go get money from the seller to install it. He was very informative and thorough with explaining the process. A month later, I called Pat to do the job and he was responsive, quick to do the job and even gave me some tips on my recently blown out sprinklers. He did a clean job with minimal damage to my drywall since I have a finished basement. I really appreciate the professionalism he has. Pat will be my go-to for any plumbing needs. Thanks Pat! read more

If you are looking for an honest plumber who does excellent work, I would HIGHLY recommend Patrick Wertin with Affordable Plumber. Affordableplumbercollc@gmail.com, 303-718-6312. He is an independent contractor, which makes his prices significantly more competitive, compared to large companies. We recently had a water heater essentially explode and blow water all over our basement. We received quotes from several companies for both water heater replacement and an upgrade to a water on demand system, and Pat's was, without question, the best for both options. We ultimately decided to upgrade to the Navien water on demand system, which also required additional gas and piping to be installed in our home (we had 2 water heaters, each with 40K BTUs, and the Navien requires 199K BTU), and new venting. Pat was extremely knowledgeable and professional throughout the entire process. He came to our house 3-4 times prior to even starting install to thoroughly discuss a plan and install location, and all available options to determine the best result for us. Once we developed a finalized plan, he provided us with a final quote, and stared almost immediately. It was an extensive install, requiring several days to fully complete, but Pat was dedicated to our project and was easily reachable throughout. He also handled all communication with the gas company for approvals and for meter upgrade, as well as with the Navien reps. His work was IMPECABLE (see attached picture). He used all of the highest quality fittings, pipes, and lines, and upgraded the water filtration system for the drain, to prevent damage to our plumbing, related to our hard water. He also included a high-altitude conversion kit, and affixed all tubes and pipes for both aesthetics and for stability. He was meticulous about design and alignment of all plumbing, which I could not have been happier with. Large companies would not have been nearly as thoughtful with all aspects of the project. The gas company was also highly impressed with his work. We had one small issue with venting after final install, but Pat immediately prioritized fixing the issue, and we have not had a single problem since. If you want an amazing plumber, who does incredible work at a fair price, you should seriously consider Pat at Affordable Plumber. We will use him for all future work, without hesitation. As a note, he is licensed and has no complaints on DORA (something I would recommend checking for anyone who does work in your home). read more
