Christian was very professional, knowledgeable, and took the time to answer all my questions with my hot water heater maintenance and explain what needed to be done. UPDATE: Five stars for responsiveness and for ultimately listening to the customer…read more I originally posted a very critical review of HomeService Plumbers because I was extremely unhappy with both the pricing and several aspects of my experience. Since then, the company has continued to communicate with me, listened to my concerns, and ultimately made a meaningful adjustment that I believe deserves recognition. The project began when I asked HomeService to correct a low hot-water-pressure problem. The initial quote was over $13,000. When I hesitated and said I wanted other estimates, the price dropped within minutes to $7,000. After work began, I was told another problem had been discovered and was asked for an additional $2,000. I objected and agreed to another $1,000. One plumber ultimately spent approximately 8-10 hours on the project. I also had an unpleasant disagreement at the end of the job when I was pressed to authorize final payment before I had inspected the work. When I did inspect it, we found several items we thought needed correction. To HomeService's credit, management promptly sent another plumber the following day, and the corrective work was completed to our satisfaction. My remaining concern was the price. I communicated that concern to HomeService at length and told them that I believed $6,000 would be a fair resolution. After considerable discussion, HomeService ultimately agreed to reduce the total price to $6,000. That does not erase my concerns about how the job was originally priced, and I would still encourage any homeowner undertaking a substantial plumbing project to obtain multiple estimates before authorizing the work. However, I also believe a company should receive credit when it listens to an unhappy customer and takes meaningful action to resolve a dispute. HomeService did that. They could have simply stood by the original bill, but instead they continued the conversation, heard my concerns, and ultimately agreed to a resolution I considered fair. For that responsiveness and willingness to listen to the customer, I am changing my rating to five stars. I appreciate that HomeService management stayed engaged and ultimately worked with me to bring a difficult experience to a satisfactory conclusion.

Josh came out to fix two sump pump issues…read more The first was that the pump wasn't working. We were discussing the problem while we at the by the pump and he found that the issue was an electrical problem in the outlet. The wires inside the outlet weren't screwed down. Instead of having me call an electrician or fix the problem myself, I turned off the breaker and Josh tightened the wires. The second issue was a leak in the extraction pipe. Josh had to leave to get parts to fix that issue. He told me exactly what he was going to do and he did it. He and his wife had excellent communication with me from start to finish which is always greatly appreciated. It's been a few months since he came to my home and everything is still working perfectly. I highly recommend Peak Innovation Plumbing.
