Tom came out to talk water and boy, does Tom know water! As we started to talk about the house, where our water comes from and what we were primarily interested in Tom was doing tests of our water. He was very efficient in the testing and explaining the results. Our new home in Castle Pines was built with an instant hot water unit, which was all new for us. And from some other companies we talked to at the garden and home show told us that you definitely need to put a soft water unit in for the tankless (primarily for the warranty). As it turns out, Tom gave us a measurement of 3 for hardness which is very good and he told us we do NOT need to install a soft water unit. BONUS! We also talked about other minerals and pH in our water. And it was nice to hear we have really good water here. He did leave a flyer and a quote for a RO (reverse osmosis) drinking water system if we ever decide we would like to go that route other than just getting drinking water from the refrigerator. I would highly recommend anyone who is curious about their water quality to contact them and talk through what you might need or what you want.

If you're looking for a water softening system, go with him. I like to learn and understand how all the appliances in my house work and Tom couldn't have been happier to spend the time educating me, both before we agreed to hire him and then while he was personally installing the system. We discussed our needs and family size, and it was refreshing when he recommended the lower cost solution for us instead of trying to upsell us something we didn't need. He'll be very honest about what will make you the happiest with your water. The system works great and made a noticeable difference with the hardness of our water. Tom was very efficient when installing and left no mess when he was done. He and his wife (co-owner) have also called to check in to make sure we were happy and confirm everything was working well. Don't think twice about hiring them!

We have trusted them with all of our personal plumbing needs as well as the plumbing needs of our commercial building, and they have always exceeded our expectations. They are extremely knowledgeable, reliable, honest, and responsive. No matter the size of the job, they consistently provide quality workmanship and excellent customer service. It's hard to find a company you can truly trust, but Copperhead Plumbing has earned our trust time and time again. WARNING: Failed diagnosis, poor communication, and refusal to take responsibility…read more Copperhead Plumbing charged me $300 for a diagnosis that missed the actual problem, left my tenant without hot water for three weeks, and cost me nearly $1,500 in lost rental income because I had to forgive part of the tenant's rent. When confronted with evidence that their diagnosis was wrong, they refused to refund a penny. I hired Copperhead after replacing a seven-year-old water heater that had rusted out and whose pilot light wouldn't stay lit. The brand-new replacement had the exact same problem, suggesting the issue might be elsewhere. Copperhead's technician allegedly checked the system, and Taylor confidently told me the problem was a defective thermopile. Despite my reasonable concerns that a brand-new water heater had the same symptoms as the old one, he insisted they had ruled out other causes. They provided no written diagnostic report or supporting documentation. After days of delays trying to obtain a repair estimate, I contacted the manufacturer myself. They told me the symptoms were inconsistent with a faulty thermopile and suggested another cause was more likely. Taylor remained confident in Copperhead's diagnosis and suggested an additional $400 inspection, while warning that it might be money wasted. He also said the replacement part would take three weeks to obtain. I sought a second opinion. Within 20 minutes, another company found and removed a wasps' nest blocking the water heater's exhaust vent--the very vent Copperhead had assured me they checked. The water heater worked immediately and has had no further problems. The other company also provided a proper diagnostic report with photographs. When I contacted Copperhead, provided photos of the wasps' nest, and requested my $300 back, they claimed they had tried to tell me about the nest but couldn't reach me while I was overseas. That explanation did not match my experience or the communications I received. Even after I challenged their account, they refused to issue a refund. The bottom line: I paid $300 for a diagnosis another company corrected in 20 minutes, endured three weeks of unresolved problems, and lost nearly $1,500 in rental income by having to reduce my tenant's rent. The other company found the actual problem, fixed it immediately, and provided photographic documentation. Copperhead provided no comparable report and refused to take responsibility for its failed diagnosis. I would not trust this company with another job. Find a contractor who verifies the problem rather than confidently guessing, documents their findings, and stands behind their work.

The company I had previously used for my water system changed ownership, and unfortunately, the new owners had no idea what they were doing. After searching on Yelp, I found Superior Water and Air. The young lady I spoke with went above and beyond to try to find filters for my old system so that those could be installed. When we realized that brand of filters were not to be found, I decided to have a new system put in. (Apparently my previous system was exclusive to the previous company.) Thankfully, I was able to keep my own water storage tank. The plumber cleaned the storage tank and installed the new system quickly and efficiently. I have had it for several months now, and it is working perfectly. Now, about the "mystery" leak. I received my water bill last month and had quite a shock. My normal $20.00 winter bill became a $160.00 problem. According to Denver Water, I had consumed 23,000 gallons in January. Well, I hadn't installed a pool, my family members (furry ones included) assured me they hadn't been taking luxuriously LONG showers daily, and there wasn't a lake forming in my basement, so there had to be stealth leaking somewhere. Although the water department assured me it was common to have a leak and that a mischievous toilet was the usual culprit, I was still a bit freaked out about the whole thing. I called Superior Water and Air and everyone was very helpful. Julie and Shane listened to me patiently and assured me that they could help me out. Shane came to my home, and repaired the suspect toilet. Mystery solved. Now, after submitting my invoice from Superior Water and Air to Denver water, I am awaiting an adjustment of my billing. Happy ending!

We recently changed from a Culligan water softening system. After interviewing four companies and…read moredoing a ton of research, we settled on EcoWater Systems offered through Costco and installed and serviced by Superior Water. It's been a couple of months and we are so happy with the system. They installed a whole house softener and purification system that also removes chloramines. We also had them put in a reverse osmosis system that goes into the frig and to the kitchen sink. The water is silky, soft and doesn't smell like chemicals. It feels much softer than it did with Culligan. The whole system is wifi enabled and we can monitor it from our phones. It alerts us if anything should need servicing or if the salt needs replacing. The installation was flawless and Etta, the salesperson, was very knowledgeable. The installer, Brian, was very professional, friendly and the installation was flawless. We used our Costco Visa and got an extended warranty and an 10% rebate via a Costco Cash Card, making this the best priced system of the four compatible systems we researched. Superior Water has followed up several times to make sure everything is going smoothly. We couldn't be happier.

We had an RO unit installed in our kitchen some months ago by Water Pros Water Purification. The…read moredischarge hose was not inserted into the drain correctly and it came out and began emitting water into the cupboard under our kitchen sink. Since the leak was so slow, we did not notice it until we went downstairs and saw the huge water bubble in the basement ceiling. The carpet was soaked. All in all, we had a repair bill of just under $2,600. I called Paul at Water Pros the day we discovered the damage and he told me that he "would take care of me." He suggested I call my insurance company to start the claim. I did that and was told that since the damage was less than my homeowners deductible, that it would be up to the installers insurance company to cover it. The Hartford Insurance company carried Water Pros insurance policy. I sent and explanation of what had happened with the pictures I had and was told that since I did not prove that the damage was due to their insured policyholder (Water Pro's), they would not cover the claim. Not worried, I again called Paul at Water Pro's. Now he was changing his tune. No longer was it "I will take care of you," but now it was suggesting that it was not his installer's fault that the damage had happened. I told him that any other cause was ridiculous. Was he suggesting that I or someone else pulled the waste water line out of the drain myself? Ultimately, he said it was impossible for the waste water line to come out of the drain. Funny that, since it was sticking nearly straight up out of the drain when I found it. On the day I found the leaking line, I immediately turned off the water and proceeded to anchor the line to the underside of the kitchen counter before curving it back down into the drain. I then squeezed the line together so that it wouldn't want to spring back out again and held it with a nylon tie wrap. Paul refuses to admit fault for his installation and has stuck me with the repair bill. I am currently seeking remedy in Small Claims Court.
