Absolutely avoid if you want an honest assessment or technician willing to work. I confirmed in advance that we wanted our sewer line cleaned to comply with our inspection during our home sale. The technician came out and said he was going to scope it first, not the service we asked for, and then told my husband repeatedly it didn't need to be cleaned. I later got an email with a recommendation for a cleaning at $1400 and a bill for $154 for scoping the line. I already have an appointment to have the line scoped after the cleaning tomorrow by the original company who scoped it. Never asked for a scope, asked for a cleaning. I've attached the communication that they could do the cleaning while in site. Really challenging when the technician said no cleaning necessary, no repairs necessary and then sends an estimate for recommended cleaning and repair. After the fourth visit and two failed inspections, I asked to speak with the owner. He said he'd show up on the final day and didn't. Not showing up after committing to do so speaks volumes. On multiple occasions, employees attempted to -- or did -- walk through my home beyond where work was being completed with their shoes on. This is a basic courtesy that should not have needed to be addressed. On the final day, an employee complained about the time spent waiting for the inspector to arrive. After five+ weeks of doing exactly that myself, I couldn't help but laugh internally. Most importantly, Summit advertises a "100% Right or 100% Free" guarantee on their website. These are not complicated words -- 100% means 100%, and free means free. There is no secondary meaning to either. When I raised this, I was told it essentially means they will keep trying until the job is done correctly -- which is admirable in theory, but falls well short of what "100% Free" implies when a customer has invested THOUSANDS of dollars. After reading the other reviews, I'm hoping the problem with my AC wasn't just a leak somewhere that could have been fixed for much less. I would strongly encourage potential customers to clarify what that guarantee truly means before signing a contract, and to get everything in writing.

When confronted with evidence that their diagnosis was wrong, they refused to refund a penny. I hired Copperhead after replacing a seven-year-old water heater that had rusted out and whose pilot light wouldn't stay lit. The brand-new replacement had the exact same problem, suggesting the issue might be elsewhere. Copperhead's technician allegedly checked the system, and Taylor confidently told me the problem was a defective thermopile. Despite my reasonable concerns that a brand-new water heater had the same symptoms as the old one, he insisted they had ruled out other causes. They provided no written diagnostic report or supporting documentation. After days of delays trying to obtain a repair estimate, I contacted the manufacturer myself. They told me the symptoms were inconsistent with a faulty thermopile and suggested another cause was more likely. Taylor remained confident in Copperhead's diagnosis and suggested an additional $400 inspection, while warning that it might be money wasted. Josh had to leave to get parts to fix that issue. He told me exactly what he was going to do and he did it.
