Heatwave Heating & Cooling

Heatwave Heating & Cooling

Asked them to come out and check our air conditioner. Another vendor had come out previously,…read moregiven us a long laundry list of impending disasters, and strongly recommended a very expensive replacement. Dmitri was out the day after I called Heatwave, did his own assessment, offered advice and did more to actually address the problems -- and while his ultimate diagnosis (replacement) was the same, it felt a lot less like I was being pressured to spend any more money than was needed. Will definitely call again.

My 19 year old Goodman air conditioner was making unwanted noises, and the furnace had issues also…read more Both were still working, but their end of life was near. I looked at reviews online for HVAC providers. The reviews for Heatwave (not on their website, which I would expect to be positive) were extremely positive 4.9 on 150+ reviews, almost too good to be true. These guys were a pleasure to deal with. Dimitri, the owner came out promptly to assess the noise issue, diagnosed the problem, and said "I can replace the motor and you can probably get a few more years, maybe", out of this and gave me a ballpark cost. The furnace issues were more severe. I decided to replace both AC & furnace. The price quoted for a Trane unit was very fair. The install crew Ivan & Arvy were very experienced. The install went smoothly. My phone calls or texts were answered promptly, they showed up on time and everyone I dealt with was very professional. I can't recommend them highly enough. And, no I'm not a friend or a relative, just a very satisfied customer. Believe the reviews; they are true. If I could give them 6 stars I would.

Rooter Street - New sink, faucet, and soap dispenser!

Rooter Street

We had a mysterious leak somewhere in the kitchen. We weren't sure what was going on, but there was…read morewater damage and our hardwood floors were suddenly uneven. I found Rooter Street on Yelp and called to make an appointment. Tyler replied quickly and said he could come out the same day. He's very conscientious and works many hours. He came when he said he would. He is very courteous and kind. He communicates well. It was a mysterious issue and he spent time diagnosing it. He explained what would need to be fixed and we set another time for him to come back and work on it because it was going to be a large project. I believe him and trust him. Everything he said made sense. He communicated well and texted me well before he arrived for the next few appointments and so I wasn't inconvenienced because he was on time. He replaced a lot of pipe and did an amazing job protecting the rest of our house from damage while he was cutting drywall and creating dust. He cleaned up very thoroughly when he left, which I appreciate because had he not protected the rest of the large rooms he was in, we would have had a ton of drywall dust everywhere. He said the work is warrantied for one year and so far, everything seems great. I even have more room under my kitchen sink because he replaced outdated, problematic 30-year-old pipes with newer technology.

Sketchy and dishonest scammer. Stay away from Tyler Higgins, Harris, Montoya (changes his name…read moredepending on who he talks to). I even called the Denver and Colorado licensing boards to report him and he is not licensed or insured Under any of those alias' and Rooter Street is not in good standing. Tyler kept asking for payment in bitcoin which I thought was a joke, but he continued to "joke" about it. He complained that he couldn't get materials so I paid him upfront. This is his scam. He promised to show up but always had an excuse and moved the date. I hounded him, but he no-showed 4 times. I gave up and was going to pursue legal action when he reluctantly shows up unannounced on a weekend at night. He made a huge mess and promises he'll come back to clean things later. It took him 3 trips to get even close to done and he drilled multiple holes in my foundation, he did not install what he said he would, and had leaky connections. Weeks go by, more chasing him around, more empty promises, asking for more money. He would text me all his excuses at midnight on Friday. His wife left him and took all the money and he has no lights or food and just needs a little cash advance to get by. Then he would he has no money. To eat so I made him dinner. Then his kids are hospitalized, his brother screwed him out of money, his brother took the truck, he forgot his tools at home etc. I didn't believe him, but in the off chance that he was telling the truth, especially about sick kids, I tried to be understanding. Later on when I ask him, he forgot his lies and lets it slip. He finally enlisted his brother's help and his brother got most of the work done in a few hours. Still leaky, loose fittings, but at least done. Tyler kept saying he won't charge for this or that and he'll "take care of you" but he's a scammer. They still didn't finish the last part of the job and are ignoring my texts and calls. He finally agreed to a partial refund for that portion of the job, but hasn't fulfilled it. He likes to work at night and tried to talk to my wife in a manner that made her extremely uncomfortable. I would NOT let him in your house alone ever. I actually installed cameras in multiple places incase he ever comes back. That's how uncomfortable he made us feel. He kept telling me I needed this or that and everything in my house is out of code so I need to pay him more to replace brand new connections and appliances. He threatened to report me to the city for code violations, even though the city already passed inspection. He threatened that I needed to pay him to replace our whole system otherwise everything will be "shut off." Tyler is a con artist and a liar. When I asked him about his kids out of genuine concern, he forgot that he told me that lie. I said "I thought they were hospitalized" and he panicked and started acting strange and said it was a diagnosis I never heard of (I'm a physician) and that he was going to visit them right after this job... but he said last week that they were discharged and it was something else entirely. Odd that both kids would get brain cancer the same day. And that his wife would leave him for cheating with his brother but then his brother helps him finish work. What sort of man would use his kids as cover? What sort of professional leaves leaks, a mess, incomplete projects, and not live up to his word? Even if he wasn't sketchy, he's still a terrible plumber.
