From talking to Christina on the phone - and meeting her in person - to meeting Donn for our walk through and then having the work completed, everything has been top notch! They bent over backwards to help with scheduling around my work availability, are clean, professional and unbelievably good at what they do! We had a big ask when it came to redoing our upstairs plumbing that comes through the kitchen ceiling plus moving the gas line for the range and they blew me away with with their delivery; absolutely exceeded our expectations! Both Eric and Gabe came the first day and then Gabe came back for two more days, and they are incredible at what they do! This company is the real deal: plumbers who know what they're doing and absolutely take pride in their work, have 100% professionalism and are just great and very friendly people! I've already recommended Pristine to neighbors and friends and we definitely plan to have them back for another job as well!

Great company with top technicians. We decided to replace the water heater with no pressure from them. We also had a very old furnace, they came the same day again and replaced the whole unit. We greatly appreciate their ethic, and will be a loyal customer!

After receiving an email from Parker Water indicating that there may be an unexplained increase in…read morewater usage at my home, I contacted 1st Choice Plumbing and scheduled an appointment for Monday, July 20. When I scheduled the appointment, I was told there would be a non-refundable $49 trip charge. What I was not told was that the $49, as the plumber later explained, "only gets me to your front doorstep." Once he arrived, I was informed that diagnosing the possible problem would cost an additional $289--even though he acknowledged that it might take only a few minutes to determine the source. The plumber himself was polite, honest, and professional. He seemed genuinely uncomfortable explaining the pricing and apologetically stated that it was corporate policy. My concern is not with him; it is with the company's lack of transparency when the appointment was scheduled. The plumber was also approximately three hours early and called to ask whether I could accommodate the earlier arrival. I rearranged my schedule to do so, only to turn him away after learning about the additional charge that had never been disclosed. I have no problem paying a fair price for professional work. However, charging a non-refundable $49 fee without clearly explaining that it covers nothing beyond arriving at the home--and that even a brief diagnosis will cost another $289--did not feel fair or transparent. I declined the service and am now out the $49.

My AC died about a month ago. Unfortunately it was not repairable (tried that and it didn't work)…read more I called 3 AC companies to get estimates for repair vs replacement. Ultimate Heating and Cooling was the most professional, took extra time to discuss changing some venting to improve airflow, and thoroughly looked over my existing furnace as well. The representative didn't try and talk me into a model that was overpriced, offered suggestions to try and prolong my existing furnace (ended up replacing that as well), and took time to go through my old house to examine all the vents and airflow. The gentlemen who did the work were fast and efficient - new furnace and AC in one day! All mess was cleaned up and the new system explained. The whole process was seamless. I would highly recommend this company.

Extremely disappointing experience, absolutely avoid!!! If…read moreyou want to be completely disrespected as a woman, spoken to in a deeply condescending manner, and treated as if you couldn't possibly understand basic technical issues, then this is the company for you. They charged us for an inspection that was clearly not done properly, pushed us to replace perfectly functional parts at nearly 10 times the market price, and literally laughed in my face while telling me my HVAC system was "shitty" and needed to be replaced. Three days later, the system had another issue because they completely failed to identify the actual problem. We were then pushed yet again toward more interventions and more part replacements by a manager who had never even seen the HVAC system himself and could only give vague explanations about what the issue "could" be. When I later requested my file, pictures, and full documentation from the visit, nothing was ever sent. No transparency whatsoever. We finally contacted another amazing company ALTITUD BRO HVAC-- which I strongly recommend -- and unlike UHCPC, they actually inspected everything properly. They identified the issue immediately and charged us only $400 for something that probably would have cost us over $2,000 with UHCPC. What a joke. And the funniest part? They're apparently just as bad with plumbing. We worked with them in the past on another property and, after charging us over $20,000, not only were they unable to properly fix the issues, but they also damaged one of our showers. Matt Robledo, the owner, even told us he had to fire his plumber Dave because "he was not good" and promised us compensation or future repair credits. Of course, none of that ever happened. Once they take your money, they seem to forget your name very quickly.

My contractor decided to give this company a try during a remodel. At first they seemed great -…read morelower cost than others and highly responsive. The first challenge came before I moved in. They had recommended a specific thermostat. They charged $450 for the thermostat (which is under $200 on Amazon). When the time came to install it, I saw it and said "oh that's not the one I wanted. Can we please switch it out?" Nope. If I wanted a different thermostat, I would have to pay for that one in addition to the one they wanted to install. I had just spent over $35000 on a new hvac system with them and they couldn't switch out a thermostat to the one I wanted? Then I learned that they installed a lower end hvac (Amana) and convinced everyone it was great. The AC is so loud that my neighbors can't sleep at night during the summer. We discussed a mini-split for my bedroom on that side of the house so that I wouldn't have to run the AC at night. They suggested the lowest end unit that you can buy on Amazon for a few hundred dollars. Cost of unit plus installation was about $7000. Another company quoted $6000 to install the top of the line. The heat is a joke. It runs for a couple of months and then stops. I had another company come in. Turns out it was installed incorrectly. Accutrol disagrees and claims it is due to poor maintenance. (I moved into the house in March - ran the heat March and part of April. Had it serviced in October before winter weather and didn't turn in the heat again until the middle of November. It stopped working in the beginning of February. They came out and allegedly performed maintenance. It stopped working the next day. It's not a maintenance issue!) If you're looking for a great hvac company, call Elemental Comfort. They are fabulous! They offered to replace my thermostats at no charge - and they didn't even do the install. Don't waste your time and money on Accutrol.

We had a leaky water main that I originally contacted Roto Rooter about, but after they missed…read moretheir window three days in a row my wife canceled and I called JJ Lay. Bonnie got us on the schedule for 12-2 the next day and said they would send their technician Levi out. She explained about the $59 diagnostic charge which a couple other reviews have mentioned, and that seems pretty reasonable for them to send an experienced technician out to a site to assess a repair, plus it gets waived if you have them do the work. Levi came out around 1 the next day to check it out as planned. I wasn't there but my wife said he was great and answered all her questions and said he'd get it taken care of. I talked to him on the phone after he'd already gotten the leak to stop and he recommended replacing the section of pipe and the old valve with a ball valve shutoff. I was more than happy to have him do this while he was out and probably never have to worry about it again. The fixture he replaced was about 60 years old and he said we could leave it but that it'd probably just have to keep being tightened whenever it was turned - not something I want to deal with every time I have to shut the water off. So we got the leak addressed, upgraded the shutoff, and Levi also located and dug up our curb stop to turn off service to the main. I checked out the new pipe and shutoff when I got home and was happy with the work, thought what they charged was totally fair, and my wife was really pleased with the customer service. I'll definitely use them again.
