Hytek replaced my AC and furnace ~3 years ago and did a great job. From then on, I mistakenly used a third party company to service my AC unit. My AC unit has started to have some problems, so I called Hytek for them to come take a look at it. Voytek is the best. He came and although I had a different company servicing the unit, he wanted to help me with my situation and performed over $1,000 of work for free and did it with a smile on his face. I'm sure these guys do good work, but felt they where way too quick to sell me something vs figure out the real problem. I reached out to them, and they were quick to respond within a day. Two gentlemen arrived, both really friendly and professional. They inspected the problem and immediately concluded that it needed to be replaced. I expressed gratitude, obtained the quote, but the price being well over 5k made me decide to get a second opinion. I had a gut feeling about how swiftly they made the decision after removing just 4 screws. I had another company come in, and they did the same 4-screws. Last fall, my ac was not blowing cold air anymore. I had several services come out to check out the problem and quote me over $20k for replacement. After reading highly rated reviews, I decided to have Hytek come perform a diagnosis and estimate. Unfortunately, I knew this day was coming. My furnace was original (1974) and AC unit was out (1998). If one part was broken, both would need to be replaced due to how newer components are now manufactured. Hytek prepared an estimate and gave me a much better price than other companies. As a young homeowner, I have found that most maintenance services will grossly over charge or try to take advantage. This is definitely not the experience I had with Hytek! The professionalism is seriously top notch! The salesman explained everything in detail to me and made sure the whole process went smoothly. I would have wished the tech would have put more efforts into finding a solution instead of a complete replacement. A alternate company found the soultion to my problem that Hytek looked into for $325, while Hytek quoted me nearly $13,000 to replace my heater and thermostat... very huge difference. I'm up and running my AC and Heater for under $600 including a new thermostat and rewiring instead of $13,000. Make sure you get several quotes before commiting to a companys work. read more

We've had problems with our swamp cooler for a few years now, so we called Hytek to come take a look and give an estimate on what it would cost to repair. It ended up being in such awful shape that it was going to cost more than half of what it would be just to get a whole new central air conditioning system, so it was kind of a no brainer. While Dan and Voytek were at the house, we started asking them pricing on upgrading several things in our house, including a new hot water heater and furnace. We decided to move forward with everything and they threw in a whole house air purifying system as an added bonus ($2,000 value) for upgrading from our swamp cooler to central air. The guys were super nice and very patient with me as we worked out the payment. We decided it would be the most cost effective to refinance our house to take a cash-out loan, but it took waaaay longer than expected. Even though we weren't able to set a start date until nearly 6 months after our initial quote, they still honored our pricing, which I greatly appreciated. Dan was my main point of contact and he was absolutely wonderful, as was everyone else on the team who we had the pleasure of working with on this extensive project. We had some issues after all was installed, so I called Dan and he came out the very next morning to see what was going on, and discovered we had a faulty/old thermostat that needed replacing. Easy fix and we were back in business! I live in an apartment with completely incompetent maintenance. I put in a request that my AC isn't working (multiple times) and they tell me "it's working fine" and my solution is "to get blackout curtains." Bet. So I decide to take matters into my own hands and ask Hytek to give me a professional diagnosis. Voytek arrives and he immediately tells me something is wrong. He was even gracious enough to come to the leasing office to confront the manager with me, stating what needed to be done in order to fix the AC unit. Apparently it hadn't been maintained in at LEAST five years (yikes!) and there was extreme build up in the outdoor unit, preventing it from cooling down my apartment. Our water heater was 15 years old and I want to replace it, the owner came and gave me quote, he was very knowledgeable and gave me few options. I went with the power vent option. The crew came on time and did a wonderful job, also clean up nicely. The owner came to check the finished work.
