This was, without a doubt, one of the worst customer service experiences I have ever had with a so-called "professional." From the start, Patrick had an awful attitude. When I called to ask about service, he acted like I was bothering him. He was short, dismissive, and downright rude. He made no effort to be helpful. At that point, I knew I would never give him my business. I found another plumber who was professional, respectful, and charged a fair rate--something Patrick is clearly incapable of doing. If you're considering hiring Patrick at Affordable Plumbers, DON'T. He is rude and Unprofessional. There are so many good plumbers out there who actually value their customers--Patrick is NOT one of them. Do yourself a favor and take your business elsewhere!

Plumbing is never cheap, but Speed Plumbing makes you feel confident that every dollar is going toward quality work done the right way. When the team arrived, they were on time, friendly, and incredibly respectful of the home. They laid down protective cloths throughout the condo, worked nonstop all day, and were mindful about minimizing drywall cuts to help reduce repair costs. Absolutely avoid if you want an honest assessment or technician willing to work. I confirmed in advance that we wanted our sewer line cleaned to comply with our inspection during our home sale. The technician came out and said he was going to scope it first, not the service we asked for, and then told my husband repeatedly it didn't need to be cleaned. I later got an email with a recommendation for a cleaning at $1400 and a bill for $154 for scoping the line. I already have an appointment to have the line scoped after the cleaning tomorrow by the original company who scoped it. Never asked for a scope, asked for a cleaning. I've attached the communication that they could do the cleaning while in site. Really challenging when the technician said no cleaning necessary, no repairs necessary and then sends an estimate for recommended cleaning and repair. Moving on to the next company who can maybe do the work we hire for and not waste hours of our time and now days.

There are many faucets on display and many more in their catalogs to choose from. Peggy Johnson was very helpful and great to work with. In a nutshell, we found some great looking faucets and replaced the main kitchen sink faucet, beverage dispenser next to the sink, and a bar sink faucet (all from the same collection so they match). We also found a nice replacement faucet for our powder room sink. It's nice to be able to see and feel these items ahead of time to know what you're getting. If you're looking for fixtures a step (or two) nicer than what you might find at the big box stores, this place is a great option. The items we chose took less than three weeks to come in. Since the other side of their business is plumbing and heating supply/distribution, they work with many local (and independent) plumbers. AJ and HX Mechanical are amazing. My hot water heater went out over the weekend, and when I called at 7 a.m. on Monday, AJ took my call, listened to my issue, and had a quote back for a replacement within 30 minutes. His quote was $700 less than two other quotes I had received. Not only did I have a quote by 7:45 a.m., he was at my house ready to do the repair at 9:30 a.m. They were professional, courteous, knowledgeable, and efficient. I had a new hot water heater installed--along with another plumbing issue that had caused the problem--by 1:30 in the afternoon. What can I say but many kudos and a big thank you for sending Craig and Mike to bail me out on short notice from (unbeknownst to me) what could have been major water damage waiting to happen from an existing faulty installation of a corrupted 'water expansion tank'. AJ was prompt, even early to the scheduled appointment. He was courteous and very knowledgeable on the repair needed to the water heater. He was able to source a new valve/controller module locally, and replace the faulty one, flush the water heater, and have it up and running in only a couple of hours. He stayed to ensure the unit fired up and was working correctly. His price was quite reasonable for all the work performed and parts needed. In talking with AJ I found he is actually a degreed mechanical engineer and owner of the business. I feel bad for not leaving a review sooner, but better late than never. Last year my water heater pilot light wouldn't stay lit. I requested a quote from Yelp, and received about half of a dozen responses. What made AJ stand out was simply saying, it may be a $15 repair, if it is only the thermostat module. I knew that i would likely need a new water heater, but with a guest in the home, just needed to get it back up and running. Even though the initial scoping of the project was in the evening, he completed a new install same day. To me that is above and beyond. Once he arrived, I was informed that diagnosing the possible problem would cost an additional $289--even though he acknowledged that it might take only a few minutes to determine the source. The plumber himself was polite, honest, and professional. He seemed genuinely uncomfortable explaining the pricing and apologetically stated that it was corporate policy. My concern is not with him; it is with the company's lack of transparency when the appointment was scheduled. The plumber was also approximately three hours early and called to ask whether I could accommodate the earlier arrival. I rearranged my schedule to do so, only to turn him away after learning about the additional charge that had never been disclosed. I have no problem paying a fair price for professional work. However, charging a non-refundable $49 fee without clearly explaining that it covers nothing beyond arriving at the home--and that even a brief diagnosis will cost another $289--did not feel fair or transparent. I declined the service and am now out the $49.

Plumbers arrived late morning the next day. The pipe was behind the wall in a tight but accessible space. They had to cut a small hole in the drywall. They replaced the connection, I believe using a ProPress crimping tool. (He said the tool cost $3000.) The job looks solid, and they were professional, what I've always expected out of this company. The manager handled a issue I had with the billing personally, making sure everything was settled fairly and promptly. They've always been my go to for service and remain so.

This company did not do its job correctly; they scammed us out of 8 grand. I highly do NOT recommend them. They will scam you as they did to us.
