Our AC went out during this July heatwave and of course it was on a Sunday night. I was able to schedule an appointment for Monday morning using their phone AI system. Super helpful not to have to wait for someone to call me back the next day to schedule. Got a price for the appointment at that time as well. And an immediate confirmation text of the appointment. On Monday morning we received a text message that they were on the way and the very nice technician Bo Holtz showed up on time. He was super helpful, immediately diagnosed the problem. Was super communicative and efficient. I know he was likely so busy too given the heatwave but he didn't rush he was through and provided amazing customer service from start to finish. He also suggested their monthly service plan and explained how that worked without seemingly like an upsell or hard sell. Just more a "hey, we have a great service plan if you're interested"...appreciate that. I also asked about an electric issue that we have been having with our clothes dryer and he was helpful pointing us in the right direction for an additional service tech from Aim High for that fix as well. David was 1 of 10 HVAC companies that I called today, the day after Christmas (a Saturday). He was the only one to return my call, within 15 minutes of me leaving a message. I was actually out of town while my roommates were at the property, and I never felt out of the loop. I called at 2:30 and by 5pm had a functioning furnace again. David seemed honest, and I did see he showed up with a mask and foot coverings. Price was fair and work is guaranteed. We awoke one morning in January to a house much colder than it should be! After consults with a few HVAC companies, we learned our prior furnace of 24 years was dead. We evaluated options from several companies and made the decision to go with a very high energy efficiency furnace and heat pump/AC combo. Aim High HVAC came was excellent in helping to educate us and allowing us to decide what was right for our situation. They were very friendly and responsive along the way. They installed our new Lennox system very soon after we decided to go with them and worked to prioritise our installation based on a few circumstances. On installation day, they were incredible - extremely mindful of caring for the surroundings in which they worked and always quite friendly to help us understand what they were doing. Now, about 3 months in to having our new system, we LOVE it! Our space is more comfortable thanks to the continually circulating fan system and particularly the whole house humidifier! We feel more warm and comfortable than ever before and absolutely could not be more happy with the system and service received from Aim High! Right as a massive cold front was approaching on New Years Eve my heater stopped working (of course!). I called several different HVAC companies (none answered) and left messages all explaining that my heater was out and due to the upcoming low temperatures this was an emergency. The only company that returned my call was Aim High HVAC. The tech was able to come to my home that same day and serviced my furnace and got the heat back on. My air conditioner was not cooling. The compressor outside was not working and the fan was not rotating. I agreed to a service call that included a "Diagnostic Test". The technician add 3 lbs. of coolant and adjusted the fan speed. I was charged $517. The next day the AC stoped working and I suspected the capacitor needed to be replaced. I call them back and asked for a quote to replace the capacitor; it was $375. Meanwhile I researched the cost of the capacitor; it was $20. I purchased the part and replaced it myself, and my AC has been working fine ever since. I requested a refund ONLY for the "diagnostic test" of $127, since they did not diagnose the problem. ( I was willing to pay for the cost of coolant and the labor charge) They refused saying that I should have spent an additional $175 for a 'Maintenance and Cleaning" IN ADDITION to the "diagnostic test". Am I unreasonable in asking for a partial refund? You decide! read more

Aim High HVAC is great. I had an emergency with my AC on a super hot summer day and after calling a few different HVAC companies who wouldn't be available for a few days, Aim High came out within an hour and really saved us. I have used them for all my AC and heat issues. We are on a maintenance plan, which is great because they check on the system twice a year and we haven't had any problems. When I had to update my AC they did a great job and gave me a very competitive price. They even threw in a free EcoBee unit. When I need to replace my furnace in a couple of years, I'll definitely be going with Aim High. Don't call anyone else. read more

I found this company on the NextDoor app and saw the high marks they received on quality work and fairness. I hired them to service both furnace and a/c. When Tim arrived I explained that my home inspection revealed that the prior owners of my home had little or no services done to any of its important components. I also conveyed my concern that I needed them to last at least a couple more years after spending so much to buy the house. Tim's tests showed that this 19 year old system needed cleaning quite badly, but that the coils were coated with paint as well as dirt--so the prior owner had air sprayed paint done with the system running (unwise). With capacitors changed out and the system cleaned, it is closer to normal specifications but still lacking coil efficiency for what is previously stated. In closing I smiled at the repeat customer package pricing which provides incentive to keep going back to Ain High, but the savings really did add up as I see the real value now of having major appliances regularly serviced by a pro, despite my personal emphasis on DIY. read more

Do NOT use Aim High for your HVAC needs. We had a new AC unit installed by them 2 years ago. They told us at the time how great the warranty was and showed 10 year warranty on parts. The AC was not working this week - so called them to come back out and take a look. A part that they installed 2 years ago failed. They said this part was not in the physical box that the AC unit came in, so it was not covered. We had to pay $1,000 to fix it. Aim High HVAC is fantastic. I moved into my house in July and noticed the AC could not keep temperatures below 78. I saw Aim High recommended by people on Nextdoor and decided to call them up. They were able to send a guy out the same day to service the AC. The tech took apart and cleaned the AC while showing me all the dirt that had accumulated in the unit. The following day, I received a follow up call asking how the AC was doing and if there was any improvement. It was a pleasant surprise and shows they do care about their work and customers. I replaced my furnace and AC last week. Tim, one of the owners, came out the week prior to give me a quote. I received their quote on the same day unlike other companies which took multiple days to get back to me. A crew from Aim High HVAC came out to replace my entire system. They arrived right on time and immediately began covering my floors so that they wouldn't get dirty or damaged. The crew worked throughout the day and well into the evening. The quality of the work was outstanding. Both owners, Tim and Glen, came out to make sure I was satisfied and to answer any questions I had. Tim and team put a new furnace and AC system in our home. They were replacing a 22 year old system with a high efficiency system. Every team member was kind and respectful. They were very thorough to ensure they treated our home as if it were there's. Our water heater had a small leak in one of the pipes they noticed. They repaired that during the install with no additional charge. The estimate was the price. There were no hidden fees. Our daughter's AC went out. It was soon 91 degrees inside. The company we usually use was swamped with calls of broken air conditioning and couldn't even get out to see us for 2 weeks. Her neighbor immediately recommended Aim High. Their technician came out later that day and after a brief diagnostic, said the system was installed in 1993 and had probably reached the end of its useful life. Any repairs would be "band aids" at best. Tim came out the next day. He too was timely. Before making any recommendations, he asked numerous questions (allergies, pets, working from home, future plans for the house - selling, staying, renting, etc.). After carefully listening he made his recommendations. The next week, a new Lennox furnace and AC unit was installed. The installers were timely and professional. I have found it's hard to use the words "clean" and "contractor" in the same sentence but Aim High's people are the exception. They were very clean. One thing I hadn't expected was they vacuumed the existing freon out of the system so as not to contaminate the new freon. After the system was installed and working, but before the installers had left, Chris came out and explained how to operate the new thermostat. He took time to answer the few questions we had about changing filters (which is really pretty simple). The following week, Andy came out to inspect the installation. There was nothing to address. Nothing. He again reviewed changing filters and smart thermostat operation. When we had no more questions, we paid the bill. (In case you're wondering, they did credit us the amount of the first service call so that was refreshing.) It was a relief not to have to pay 50% up front and the balance immediately upon completion. Having a few days to "live with" the system and then be afforded an opportunity to ask questions was unexpected but is a great way to run a business. They have easily earned their 5-star rating. We would not hesitate to use them again, or to highly recommend them. p.s. We have had an opportunity to talk to some of the neighbors whose HVAC units were the same age and have recently been replaced. The price we paid is competitive. read more

I would not recommend this company mainly because the owner has a temper. He's nice enough when things go his way but if you offend him watch out! We had them service and maintain our house and rental properties as part of their elite membership for about a year. They did a great job cleaning the units but never were able to get them running well, they had to keep coming out. They fell through on showing up on they day they said and now I have to find a new company last minute. It's sad because otherwise we liked the technician they sent out but the owner is too hard to work with. read more

I have been very disappointed with the customer service at Aim High. I went with this company because the owner bragged about how being a veteran meant that he was very responsive to his customers and would always be there for them, telling me stories of such experiences. Unfortunately, that was not the case for me. When I found an error in their install, he sent someone out to to fix it right away, but never apologized. I heated my unfinished basement for a year because the stack wasn't sealed properly. Recently, when I asked about another possible issue, I basically was told I should've called before then. Yes, it has been 2 years. However, I mentioned this issue to the installer and was told it was fine. Now that I question the noises coming out of my system yet again, he doesn't understand my frustration....Don't let Tim tell you how great their customer service is, because it would be untrue. If he cared, he would have sent someone out, especially since I found a significant mistake previously. read more

I called them last year to inspect my poorly operating A/C, and they diagnosed the problem and gave me options to try and repair or replace the unit. I wasn't in a position to do anything at the time, but I called them back last week. They gave me a quote to replace my A/C unit as well as optimize the overall system. 2 days later, the work was completed as promised. Looking forward to a cool summer ahead. I was really impressed with Tim at Aim High. I asked him to stop by and give me a second opinion on our furnace. Our heater had completely stopped working during a cold winter storm. A larger HVAC company came out to look at it, got it running again, and advised me that I needed a lot of new parts and/or a new furnace that would cost me hundreds of dollars. After seeing highly rated recommendations of Aim High on Nextdoor, I set up an appointment for Tim to come take a look. He was fast, efficient, honest, and told me all I needed was a new filter. He did agree that we would eventually need a new furnace, but his furnace was reasonably priced. I highly recommend Aim High, and will definitely use them when we need that new furnace! read more

I found Aim High HVAC through a search experience when I needed a new furnace to replace an aging 20+ year old furnace in an old, but renovated 1950 house. I was trying to find an honest, professional, knowledgeable, and ethical company to handle not just the install of the new furnace, but maintain the central AC system too for this house. I will admit that the search provider gave me a number of leads with well rated companies, and I interviewed and got bids from around 8 different companies ( a real first for me) but hands down, this company is the best I have ever found. They know HVAC systems inside and out and know how to advise you for what you need, not what costs the most. They want your business long term, not just for a quick sale. Tim listened to our needs and also evaluated the installation requirements for the house. This furnace has to be in the attic which did not scare him or his team at all. Of the 3 different systems he proposed, (we asked about an 80% and a 95% efficiency thinking of the environment and he had an idea for one in the middle we didn't know existed), we opted for the middle choice and could not be happier. The system runs efficiently, quietly, provides very even heating in the home and the cost fully installed was quite reasonable. Aim High is not the cheapest, nor are they the most expensive. They offer a fair price for high quality equipment. Since they are in for the long haul, they will not sell you junk. They now service this furnace each year and the AC as well. It's neat that they offer their clients a good rate for annual maintenance on the systems so that you can keep them running well for years to come (no contracts). They corrected some serious venting issues that had been in the attic probably since 1950, all in their bid, and also corrected a real issue with the near new Central AC condenser that I was unaware of when it was serviced last summer. Aim High is my HVAC company now, and for the long haul! They service my own residence too (furnace, central ac) and recently installed a great new furnace in my in-laws house to replace a furnace that was at its end of life, a shorter than normal life because the previous HVAC company sold my unsuspecting in-laws a massive system, way too big for the house and never serviced it correctly either. Aim High recommended a great system, again for a very fair price fully installed and fixed issues with venting and air flow that caused troubles in the past, all in their very reasonable bid. I highly recommend Aim High HVAC. They are skilled and knowledgeable, charge a fair price for their work, communicate well, and truly value their clients. I am so glad I found them!
