It's been a brutally hot summer and with a powerful El Niño forecasted to arrive soon, I thought a routine AC and furnace check up would be prudent. Scheduling was very easy to do as Signature Heating and Air is quite accommodating and with fair pricing too. Devin, their technician, arrived at the appointed time and inspected/serviced my HVAC system, which he pronounced to be in good condition. Devin also told me that Signature Air and Heating offers a spring and fall discount and recognizes senior and veterans' discounts. At my request, Devin provided me with information about replacement HVAC systems as well as the discount incentives being offered by Xcel Energy and other companies. Signature Air and Heating is reputable, easy to work with and priced right; they don't push the "hard sell", which I appreciate. Signature Air and Heating is a keeper in my book! read more

Signature Heating & Air - Heating & Air Conditioning/HVAC Near Me - Centennial, Colorado

Used to be good, competent, responsive, looking to deliver value. Perhaps too popular or too busy or grew too quick, now the technicians are focused on upsells, sloppy work, poor or lacking follow-up. Based on our experience, do not recommend. read more

Always knowledgable, professional, helpful, fair -- I can't say enough about SH&A. They had replaced our HVAC system last summer, and now in Summer, the A/C was not working. So we replaced the thermostat, (which they had kindly advised us to do last Spring but we kept putting it off), but still the A/C wasn't working. Called them, they arrived on time, asked me questions and thoroughly checked everything out. It turns out the HVAC system is doing great -- but they found an indoor leak (*not* caused by the HVAC system) that is getting water on the water-detector "puck" next to the furnace. That puck -- which SH&A put there for me last summer -- is doing it's job by shutting all HVAC things down / alerting me that something is wrong. They restarted the system, advised me on what to ask for when I talk with the contractors (to fix the leak) and showed me photos of the problem. I need to add that John and his colleague both spent time checking out the indoor and outdoor parts of the system. They didn't charge me anything -- likely because of a warranty period from the HVAC install. Honestly, I'm so thankful for a company that doesn't try to upsell me, or use fear tactics to make me buy something extra or take advantage of my lack of knowledge (though I'm learning as I go). SH&A keep it professional -- they focus on the problem and not how to up their profits for the day. They are the gold standard of everything HVAC. If I had a Christmas card list, I would put them on it. read more

New furnace install. Could not have gone better. John and team were quick, efficient, professional, clean, and very very knowledgeable.

Amazing service, came on a wkd., Devin was so knowledgeable; able to repair AC unit when another company said compressor bad and to replace unit for $9000. John was familiar with that company, and had other customers relate the same when the unit could be repaired. Devin worked his magic for under $300. Will always call Signature first. read more

And the "what sets these folks apart continues". We had this noise 1/6-7/20 that seemed to come from the blower motor. It turned out it appeared the fan to the humidifier was rubbing. They corrected & tested and it's quiet now. No charge. They even gave me specs for the humidifier filters so I can keep those & air filters tip top. read more

During the last (record-breaking) coldest days here in Colorado, my furnace refused to function properly. After notifying Signature Heating and Air that the thermostat was older and was not responding, they promptly set up a time to send a technician to my home. First, a special kudos to Jonathan. I am duly impressed with the expertise, honest integrity, and kind respectfulness of this young man. He was incredibly thorough with everything. He checked every part of the furnace, including the wiring that he had to work with before he installed and set up the new thermostat. Jonathan also thoroughly explained how to work the thermostat, with the understanding that the temperatures could be set and controlled both manually and online! Second, what I really like about this company: * It does not disappoint! This is the second time I have used Signature Heating and Air; their performance and customer service has been consistently top notch from beginning to end! * They give you a selection of a one hour time frame to arrive at your home. * They text to remind you of your selected time, and will again inform you when they are on their way! * They arrive on time! * Their technicians are professional, honest, and respectful! * They are completely thorough and make sure that everything is working properly before they leave! * There is no second guessing about what the customer is going to be billed. Their billing is reasonable, straightforward, and ethical. Ultimately, this appointment with Signature Heating and Air was one of the best experiences I've had with a contractor in my home! read more

My furnace started heating intermittently in short bursts. Signature was able to come out within one day and fixed the problem in about 20 minutes at a reasonable cost. Jonathan, the technician that came out, was friendly and knowledgeable. A great experience all around! read more

This father and son company is great company to work with. John and Steve are dependable and fair. They were so nice to honor the bid they gave me the prior year and the were Johnny on the spot to fix a leak after installation. Plus, they refunded me for the small damages due to the leak. I would highly recommend Signature. read more

BUYER BEWARE!! If you are looking for a new furnace that has been sitting in a warehouse for 6 years...this is the place for you!! When it's discovered that the "new" furnace is 6 years old, don't expect a resolution of any kind but do expect a defensive manager. The analogy I was given " if you buy a 2017 car sitting on a lot for 6 years, and has zero miles, it's still new." Seriously? Even if the car has zero miles, it's not new in 2023. Worse experience I have had with a business. I wasn't even calling to get a money back for the customer but needed clarification if this is normal practice and his answer was, the customer should know and continued to just talk without allowing me to speak. I literally had to talk over him hoping he would shut up. Manufacturing date is not on any receipt from them so how is the customer supposed to know? They should disclose this sort of thing. Very sad and all I can say is, BUYER BEWARE. If you have used them for new equipment, I suggest looking at your serial number and get the manufacturing date. The manager said "he gets calls like this all the time and doesn't care. It's not their problem." Obviously this is normal for them. I have contacted other HVAC companies and they have all said "6 years old is excessive". I'm truly surprised at their positive reviews. read more

Signature Heating & Air installed a humidifier for our home. The technicians showed up right on time and and were very friendly. The installation went smoothly and an explanation of how the humidifier worked as well as answered questions professionally and with knowledgeable acumen that left me very impressed with the lead technician. The team of technicians worked very well together installing the humidifier and cleaned up afterwards so I couldn't tell anyone had even been there. Also, I credit the owner of SH&A with the high standards he has set for his employees and an owner's integrity I have never witnessed before in the HVAC business. Heating system needed a blower motor replacement. They were charging $488 for a new blower motor. I pulled up the same one online and told the tech that the most expensive one I found of that same brand/model was $200. He stated that they charge more for parts due to the convenience of having the part on hand, which is fine. So he added $288 as a convenience cost for having the part on hand. Seems a bit too much. read more

I own 11 rentals in the Denver-Metro area and I will only use Signature Heating & Air. They are honest, trustworthy, and never try to up-sell something you don't need. In early January 2017, during sub-zero temperatures, I had a heater go down at one of my rentals and I needed immediate service. My previous HVAC independent contractor retired and closed shop in December, so I hit Google and got what I thought was a local independent. The tech showed and after 5 minutes told me that my heater was shot and they could start installing a new one for only $6000. I paid their service fee and asked them to leave. Next I found Steve Major at Signature. Over the phone Steve had me read the code off of the board and we determined what the issue was. He had a tech onsite with the correct part and heater repaired less than 2 hours. Total bill was under $200. Since then, Steve and team have done all of the repairs, preventative maintenance, and inspections on all of my properties and home. It is always a good price and prompt service with never a surprise add-on. I believe this is all due to strong leadership and a customer-first values that come from the top. read more

I had no problem with the installation of my system, however I was just charged over $300 for them to clean a relief line, the tech was here for an hour, if you choose them to install a new system make sure they explain how to perform this easy process, it's a month later and I'm still upset about it read more

We rent a property in Aurora with an ancient heater installed. It's not quite my age, but close. We knew that it wasn't going to survive much longer, but we also didn't know that Denver was going to get a blizzard yesterday. Funny how things coincide, isn't it. When all the carbon monoxide alarms were going off, we called the property manager and Xcel. Side note: in the blizzard, with 100k+ houses without power, Xcel was still onsite in under an hour, when I was expecting a day or so, so hats off to Xcel. My property manager (Shari at Star and Stripes, look em up.) called Signature and they were out the next day. OK to be fair, they had been in communication prior to the storm about replacing the furnace and yes, they were planning on coming out Monday, but when the furnace died, they were out the net day. They kept in contact with me in advance, let me know what they were going to do, and best of all, got our house heated in three hours. They took care to keep from getting snow, mud and rust everywhere. They did the install, tested it out, showed me what I needed to know to maintain it. I can't speak to the price of the equipment or service. I'm sure it'll be reflected in the next lease, but I really appreciated the work they did, and the respect and professionalism they showed. read more

Our heater went out just as we received 6 inches of snow. David came out to checkout our system within a few hours of our call. He was super knowledgeable and found and fixed the problem quickly. Would highly recommend, they know what they're doing and they do it for a fair price. A++ read more

Signature Heating and Air are our go-to HVAC people. The team is GREAT and they are honest and fair. I have have used other companies over our 5 years here, but none compare. Honestly I had one well known company try to gouge us and rush us into a decision. Not Signature. I'm more than pleased with their work and will only use their services in the future. Thanks soooo much for your commitment to quality and honesty!!! read more

A few years ago we woke up to below zero temps and no furnace heat. I immediately tried to relight the pilot light. Nothing. Jumped on the Internet looking for help. Heating companies were not answering their phones, or too busy to do so. I finally reached Steve Majors who was driving to a service call. He sent me back to the basement and talked me through a relighting of the pilot. I liked him, thanked him and told him I would call for a inspection. Never did. It happened again a couple years later, bitter cold; no heat, and one more time Steve took the call and helped me get the furnace going. He was always eager and friendly. That summer the AC was not doing well and I called Steve. Who else deserved my business? We got everything new! Great experience. We are now moving and I began having trouble with internet thermostat with only a couple day left before we closed. I calledl Steve, he took perfect care of everything, the same day! Unbeatable service. He has become a friend to me. I wish there were six stars! What great people! Bob R. read more

Update: the invoice for the services rendered was $500.00 and not as I originally stated. Typo? The internet cost of the board they replaced was in the range of $50 - 139.00 and the markup I referred to in my review was based on the higher internet price and not the exorbitant "Carrier factory list price" of $349. Exact same board from internet sources. Does your service provider have the responsibility to tell you that a board could be procured from other sources for less money especially when the price variance is so great? Or are there other reasons? Finally, the technician who diagnosed the furnace problem stated "there is a burnt resistor on the board". This is the reason given on the invoice and on the telephone. I based my purchase decision on this faulty diagnosis. This diagnosis was INCORRECT as I have the board and tested it as I have the equipment and knowledge to do so and there is no burnt resistor on the board. I can present that board for inspection. Pictures of the board are also available. That "burnt resistor" statement by the technician was WRONG and started this issue. read more

Our A/C broke and I called a few companies. These guys were the first to respond and were able to come out the next morning. I will use them again. read more

Always excellent, friendly, professional, fair-priced service. I've used Signature for over 5 years. They are the only heating and cooling company I recommend. I have owned a home for over 45 years and, consequently, I've had occasion to deal with several HVAC companies. Two months ago, after considerable research, I got 4 bids from very reputable, highly recommended HVAC companies with the intent of installing a new heating and cooling system. All were impressive and professional in their presentation. However, Signature won out for the best competitive bid and the trust the company has built with me in prior dealings. Additionally, I know that Signature will stand behind their work and the product they sold me. I highly and without reservation, recommend Signature Heating and Cooling. read more

I live out of state and want to sincerely thank the owners of Signature Htg and Air after they took the time to leave a response on my VM here in Los Angeles. Few companies take the time to "love their neighbor" these days. Thank you, gentlemen, for giving us a referral to a man who does tiny jobs like the one we needed for our son in CO, who was suffering greatly with a severe skin condition worsened by Denver's reoccurring brutal heat this year. The technician to whom you referred us came out yesterday and installed a small unit air conditioner in my son's bedroom wall. The relief he received was immense. He reported last night he collapsed onto the bed after the install, with the dial set at 72 degrees, and slept comfortably for the first time in months. How kind of your bigger company to help with a far smaller problem that needed prompt attention. Your integrity is your "Signature." read more

I called early on a Friday after Xcel came out and confirmed a gas leak at my furnace. They said that they could send someone out before noon which was great! Especially since we couldnt use our heat until it was repaired. A gentleman arrived at 10:45 or so and confirmed that it needed a new pilot. He had the part and began work. He was super friendly and worked quickly. I believe he was in and out in less than an hour. I then left for the day, returned 5 hours later and smelled gas again. I called Signature but there was no answer, I believe it was after business hours. I called Xcel to come out and do a check again. They confirmed the leak right away and showed me the gas level on their wand, registering at 2.7. The representative explained that when the repair was made, the valve that allows gas to pass through had not been tightened all of the way. Fortunately he was able to tighten it for me, free of charge. I wish that the worker with Signature had walked through what he had done with me or confirmed that the presence of gas had been eliminated. Gas leaks are pretty scary especially when you have pets at home all day. read more

I have used Signature Heating and Air 3 times in the past: 1. To fix my furnace in the middle of the winter. They stayed late into the night until the job was done and my furnace was running. 2. To replace the furnace mentioned previously when I sold my last house (It was almost 30 years old). 3. To add a 2 ton central air conditioning unit to my current home. On each of these occasions they completed the work for the agreed price and showed up exactly when they said they would. They never left any messes in my home, and were always courteous and professional. This is the ONLY company I will use for my HVAC needs from now on. read more

Wow! I honestly for the life of me can't recall the last time I have been so impressed with any service, contractor or not. Our AC stopped working last night and I called this morning. The voicemail was full but after an hour I decided to call back and get the text number to text my service request. The mailbox wasn't full. I left a message about 9:45 and within about 15 minutes, Steve called me back and told me he could make it to my place around 11:00 to 12:00. (So make sure if the voicemail box is full to call back!) At 11:30, Steve was at the door! He knew right away what the problem was and was fast and professional. He never tried to up-sell me on anything or sell me anything else I didn't need. I will be referring Signature to all of my family and friends. I have worked with signature heating and air for about 10 years now. They are very good at scheduling appointments quickly, and for emergency situations Coming out promptly as well. When my mother used to have problems With her furnace, often times user air because she did not know how to use the thermostat, Steve would come out and explain it to her and replace any parts that were needed. It was always very affordable. They always solve my problem quickly, are very honest in their diagnosis and pricing, and super friendly and easy to work with! Kent from Signature fixed my furnace on a holiday weekend. Arrived earlier than forecast. I had called about six firms. Signature was one of the only ones with availability and they were also the fastest to respond to my call. Took Kent only 15 min but solved a problem I likely wouldn't have figured out... resetting the over-temp sensor.
