Boy, are these guys good!…read more My wife and I had been putting off installing new insulation and ductwork in our attic. We wanted the job done right, and we were hesitant to select a contractor without a solid referral. Coincidentally, a neighbor a few houses down had hired Attic Rescue a year or so before to perform the same job on a floor plan almost identical to ours. Needless to say, they were extremely pleased with the work, the pricing, and especially the people they dealt with at Attic Rescue. I contacted Emiliano and he came out and provided a comprehensive quotation within two days, and we were able to schedule the work two days after that. I can't say enough about the work ethic and teamwork this group brought with them. Emiliano, Tomas, Elizabeth and their crew of three barely paused over two full days of backbreaking work in an attic temperature of at least 100 degrees. My wife and I were SO impressed! They were extraordinarily thorough in vacuuming ALL of the original blown in insulation, and in removing and reinstalling brand new flexible ductwork throughout. The new ducts are now suspended from hangers which makes for a very clean look and easy access for anyone needing to enter the attic in the future. Their preparation in isolating the work areas and keeping everything remarkably clean was impressive, and believe me, this can be a very messy job if not done with planning and preparation. We feel fortunate to have stumbled upon Attic Rescue, and are certain anyone who hires them will receive the same quality workmanship, competitive pricing and professionalism we did. Our hats are off to Attic Rescue!!!

I hired Insulation Labs to do drill-and-fill insulation, which involves drilling holes in existing…read morewalls and filling the cavities with insulation. The work included the exterior wall along my primary bedroom and children's bedroom, plus an interior wall between the garage and my children's bedroom. Both bedrooms get a lot of afternoon sun and are consistently warm. The first crew spent a full day drilling holes, adding insulation, and patching the walls. Before leaving, they told me everything had gone great. Unfortunately, photos I took with a thermal camera suggested that more than half of the areas had not been properly filled. You could even feel the temperature difference by touching the insulated sections versus the areas that appeared to have been skipped. I contacted the company, sent photos, and was told someone would come out to investigate and resolve the issue ASAP. Instead, about a week passed with little communication. Once I started following up, I felt like I was being passed around. They even sent the sales representative back out, and he said he wasn't sure why he had been sent. Eventually, project manager Julio arranged for another crew to come out the following week. When that crew arrived, they quickly realized the work was more extensive than they had been told. I wanted the affected walls redone so I could be confident the insulation was installed correctly. Julio initially told me it could be another month before they could return--even though a month had already passed since the original installation. I told him that wasn't acceptable, but that I would be flexible to help get the job completed. Shortly afterward, he called back to say there had been a cancellation and that he would send his best team. Victor and Carlos arrived the next day, and they deserve a lot of credit. After drilling additional holes, they confirmed what I had suspected: the original crew had left some wall cavities completely empty. Victor and Carlos filled the walls properly, did excellent patchwork, and thoroughly cleaned up. Their workmanship and attention to detail were far better than what I experienced with the first crew. They clearly took pride in their work, and it showed. Now that the work is complete, the insulation is making a noticeable difference. The bedrooms are cooler, and I'm seeing wall temperatures approximately 15-20 degrees lower than before. Overall, I'm happy with the final result, but getting there took far more time and follow-up than it should have. Victor and Carlos turned the experience around. I would recommend drill-and-fill insulation for exterior walls, but I would also recommend investing in an inexpensive thermal camera--I found one on Amazon for about $80--to help check the work afterward.
