As many other yelpers have stated, 911 is just about as good as it gets. Right from the initial phone call to the clean up of the project, everything was handled with all of the professionalism and thoroughness that you'd want in a contractor. If you're looking to replace the installation and/or change your ducting, this is the company to go to. Not just for their customer service, but for their pricing as well. They are extremely competitive with their pricing. I had some soot and debris in my attic that seeped through the roof due to the local fires. So I called around and came across 911 and their perfect reviews. Fishy maybe? It didn't hurt to get a free estimate. An estimator named Shon came down a couple days after the initial inquiry to give an assessment. He inspected my attic, took some photos, and advised me on what needed to be done. Then he showed me the steps to the whole process, including pest-proofing the attic and my crawlspace, which was offered free of charge. That meant sealing up with mesh any open space, both in the attic and in the crawlspace, that vermin might be able to go through. After the job was finished, I did an inspection on some of the spots I thought were vulnerable - most of which were in the crawlspace - and they indeed sealed it up and reinforced some areas. The 911 crew replaced my old, dirty blown-in insulation with R-38 batts and installed radiant barriers on the underside of the roof. The process took two days. The 911 crew were careful not to make a mess, so they taped off everything outside of the work area. They were diligent in the cleanup as well and made sure everything was in working order when the job was complete. At the end, their work looked clean and thorough. I just have to add that this is not easy work, crawling up into tight spaces, where it's hot, dusty and dirty. But they did it efficiently and professionally. We hired 911 Attic Insulation to handle soundproofing for our Medical office build since we have a children's dance studio next door. The vibration and noise were constant we just couldn't escape the loud sounds. From start to finish, the experience was remarkable. They removed old insulation and replaced it where needed around the ducts, added blow-in insulation in the walls between the rooms, soundproofed the A-frame, and covered the T-bar drop ceiling with Rockwool and properly secured it. I've been waiting to make sure everything is resolved to write this review. I had this company do the attic insulation 2 years ago. One of the requests was that they also fix the pest issue in the attic. They provided a 3 year warranty on the pest/rodent issue. They were efficient to clean the old attic insulation and install the new insulation but the rodent issue was still a problem. I requested that they come multiple times and they did to look at the rodent issue. They did send the same guy multiple times as well so he was confident that he resolved the issue. I did install a camera in the attic to prove to them that there was still an issue. Finally, the owner sent another team to look at the issue. These guys were better since they never been to my property and they would review everything. They did find the entryway into the attic and sealed up. Since this was resolved, there hasn't been an issue in the attic. The camera in the attic doesn't see any activity other than the occasional dust or cobweb. Overall, they did do their job but it was a hassle having to get someone to finally resolve the issue. I am glad that it was a big team so they could have someone else review it. If this was a small team and only a few guys, they would just assume they looked at everything and add more mouse traps which they were originally doing. I do recommend them but be prepared to have them come multiple times for pest issues to make sure they do address all parts of the property and find the entryway! read more

I was able to negotiate with Nick to beat all the other quotes that were offered to me. You should definitely get Nick to be your project manager on your insulation project. We just had 911 Attic insulation replace all of the insulation in our home. The brutal So Cal heat was making it really hard to stay comfortable in our house - especially in the upper level. We were running our A/C non-stop and that was very expensive. Our home was built in 1965, and it looks like we had the remnants of the original insulation, which wasn't help much at all. The entire process with 911 Attic Insulation was a pleasure, starting with the initial meeting with Nick. He patiently answered all of my questions and was very responsive throughout the entire process. They were very good at coordinating the installation with the timing of our roof repairs - this allowed them to install insulation when the roof was removed from a hard to reach area of our home. I also liked that they completely cleaned up all of the old insulation and then sanitized the attic. They also include pest prevention work - they will put mesh around any open holes that allow rodents to enter. We got quotes from a few companies and 911 Attic Insulation was one of the best. I'm so so happy with the work that 911 attic insulation has done. I asked quotes from multiple companies and they were the least expensive. They did a great job at explaining the process and completed the job in a timely fashion. There were a couple hiccups like: 1) The kitchen light stopped working after they were done with the job and 2) I was still able to hear rodents in my attic after they completed the job. 911 Attic Insulation rectified the problem by: 1) hiring an electrician to fix the problem free of charge. 2) they came back multiple times to set up more traps and closed any entry points that were missed until the problem was gone with no extra charges as well. I had an attic with insulation in desperate need of repair/replacement. On top of that, we also had a rodent problem that we needed cleared up. In hindsight, we probably had the insulation and duct issues *because* of the rodent problem. After calling around for a few quotes, I found the team at 911 Attic. When they came out to give a quote, they were prompt, polite, took time to put shoe covers on, and never once tried to upsell things we didn't need. They did mention a couple things we could add if we wanted to, but I never felt pressured. Even the way they provided the quote was more professional than I expected (itemized quote that allowed me to electronically review/approve). Then came the day of the job. It was scheduled to begin between 8 and 9, and being used to other types of companies being late (cable companies, I'm looking at you), I was expecting them closer to 9 or 10. I was happily surprised when a crew of four guys arrived at 8:15. They started putting down drop cloths and taped the job so that it reminded me of a professional house painters. They worked all the way through, with only a couple minutes off to grab some water, until the job was done. I found 911 Attic Insulation on Yelp. They had numerous good reviews, so I decided to give them a call. My request was unique in that I only wanted the old insulation taken out of my attic. I did not need new insulation installed, as I was getting that free from the city of Pasadena Home Improvement Energy Program. I was sent a very reasonable quote for my 1590 sq ft home and proceeded to schedule with them. They showed up on time, worked hard for several hours, checked and sealed all openings to attic and cleaned the attic of any bacteria. I contacted 911 Attic Insulation after researching companies that provided attic clean up and insulation services. Their reviews were excellent and I appreciated that they were bonded and insured. I had received two previous estimates from local companies (I am in Orange County) but wanted a third. Paolo completed a thorough inspection and thoroughly described their process. This was followed by a detailed written bid for both spray on and batt insulation (we went with the batt). 911 Attic's estimate was in the middle of the three we received and we decided to go with them based on the above. We also liked that Paolo had not attempted to "upsell" or play with pricing as another company had done. The bid was straightforward and reasonable. We also elected to have an attic fan installed to further cool the upstairs of our home. An insulation date was scheduled at our convenience. A crew of three arrived right on time and completed the work in 5 1/2 hours (estimate had been 6 hours so ahead of schedule). No mess and no dust! Upon completion Jose showed us pictures of the before and after and a video of the fan. We thought all was well. A major hiccup was that one hour after the crew departed the fan began making very loud pinging noises, almost like gunfire. Apparently the crew had not secured it to the attic vent frame in a secure manner. To say we were not happy is an understatement. Fortunately my husband located and switched off a circuit breaker to stop power to the fan. The next morning Paolo returned, installed the fan properly, and apologized profusely for the inconvenience. I will say this: even though it was not great that they had to return the commitment to customer satisfaction is high and I appreciated the prompt correction of the poor install. Today is the first time it was hot enough for the attic fan to switch on automatically and it worked just fine.
