After an HVAC inspection turned up rodent damage in our attic, we had a couple of quotes from different vendors, and went with AttiCare. I'm very happy we did. Lina came out and did the inspection and explained the types of services they offered. We wound up going with the full sanitizing, rodent-proofing, and replacement insulation. The crew came early, took a great amount of care with our home, built a full ET-looking plastic tunnel through the house and to the attic to keep everything sanitary, and finished that day. Thank you Kyle! He helped us with the one year warranty work and taking care of a rat that got in with all of our storms lately. He took the time to reinspect the property, shore up any potential openings, investigate where it looked like foam had been chewed a bit, cleaned up the space, set out traps, and took time to explain his findings. He works with pest infestations and it is always great to see a company follow up on their one year warranties. Reason a star is missing (not due to Kyle): It has been just about a year since we hired Atticare. Last year we had the house painted, fumigated for termites, and then I realized we needed all of the insulation pulled and attic and crawl space cleaned. With the initial work - I would definitely get up in the attic and check all of it, as well as crawl under the house to verify the work, as I had to have them come back out two more times to complete the cleaning process. I would highly suggest the company invests in full portable lighting to see the entire area instead of using headlamps as too much can be missed. Insulation installation will be done at a later time. Last year, we had Atticare come out to completely gut our attic. We had a rodent problem, so they cleaned everything out, sealed everything, and replaced all the insulation. They even set traps, just in case. One year later, Jose from Atticare came out, checked everything out, and everything is still in excellent condition. First of all, I want to give a big thank you and shout out to Lina, who set up my contract to clean my attic and put new insulation in it. Lina is AMAZING, and very professional. The workers to clean my attic came really quickly, within 3 days after a holiday weekend (really fast!!). I had rats in my attic, and I was going nuts with the noise. Plus, I just had my house reroofed and there was lots of wood debris in the attic. They really cleaned it up and added the insulation. Very professional and hard-working. I hired Atticare to clean and insulate my attic. Vince and his crew promised the whole attic would be handled. When I brought up there was some area that was skipped, Vince admitted it might've been a mistake and kept asking for "just a few more days" to fix it. I gave him chance after chance. He never followed through. What frustrates me most is how fast he was to take my money, but how slow and careless he was when it came to fixing problems. I even offered to pay more for the part they missed. I just wanted it done right. Instead, he ignored me and eventually threatened to send me to collections. In the end, I had to pay another contractor $1,200 to fix what Atticare left behind. And even after that, I still paid Vince the FULL amount because I didn't want drama. But the way this was handled felt incredibly unprofessional and unfair. I'm sharing this so other homeowners know what to expect. If you hire Atticare, get everything in writing, take photos before and after, and prepare for poor communication if something goes wrong. I wish I had known. read more

Project mgr., Vince Costaglio came to my house, and quoted me $7k to totally clean and insulate my attic up to code, which includes ; getting rid of old trash and insulation, rodent proofing inside and outside of my house, sealing all the vents. I couldn't afford that, and I had 2 other quotes pending @ $6200. and $6500. After pricing discussions, he agreed to $6k and I booked a date. The job was completed 9-23, and then he tells me I have to pay the original price of $7k. He said I was confused, as if I didn't know what we agreed to. I wrote the CEO of Atticare, Mr. Sean Madar, and he told his secretary (Patty), to tell me to pay the $7k or there was going to be a lien put on my house. I was threatened, and stuck. He didn't bother to respond to my letter in any form or fashion. He didn't try to help fix my problem other than to say they will deduct $120. from the $1000. that I am being overcharged, which is the cost for them to file a lien against me. They also used computer auto sign of my name attached to a contract, that I did not sign. As of 10-18, there has been no final inspection of my attic. Vince call 30 minutes before like i was told he would, he showed up with all tools needed to perform inspection! He even put bootie's on his shoes, put his ladder on my wall to climb up, but first put a towel on the ladder rungs so not to damage my wall. He went in to attic and sent a video showing the area where I had heard something! Then took several pictures of the attic to show me! Came down asking if he could look outside for any possible ways of entering! From the initial office call for estimation appointment through completion of the job, I was truly impressed (I am not easily pleased) The Sales Rep, Vince C, is honest, knowledgeable, listened, answered questions, made recommendations and never pressured me to sign a contract. I usually get 3-4 estimates but based on a friend's recommendation and my meeting with Vince, I cancelled the other appointments. The crew was also very professional, hard working, did a phenomenal job of prepping to protect us & our home plus cleaning up after the job was completed. I do my research before hiring a company, I check their licenses, BBB, yelp and many other factors before choosing a company. I had a total of four companies that came to my home to give me an estimate on cleaning and installing new padding in my attic. Well, Atticare got the job and I am happy about my decision. There were some bumps in the process however the company held true to their word. They continued to come back to the home to ensure that everything I addressed with them was taken care of. Cory, Ricardo and Ismael thank you all for your professionalism and timeliness with getting the job done. The follow-up was greatly appreciated and I am confident that this job will not need a do over in my lifetime....
