I absolutely love this place! I have been a patient of Dr. Chantaduly for about 5 years now and he has never failed me once! I go in every year for my annual check up and I've never once had any bad experience, or any rudeness from their staff. It really is just a welcoming place with great service! read more

I've gone to Hyperoptics for about 3 years now. As a guest at their office, I've felt comfortable and welcome. What I've appreciated most about the space is that the staff always seem down-to-earth, without the air of classicism or snobbishness that can exist in optometry offices. Way to go Hyperoptics! read more

I love this place! No sunglass snobbery, or pressure to buy, and they have a decent selection. I ended up buying a pair of Kate Spade sunglasses and I love them. And I got a discount because of my vision insurance--20% off! Great staff and friendly service. I recommend stopping in HyperOptics if you're on a quest for a nice pair of sunglasses. read more

I bought a nice new pair of glasses here, but it did take several visits. The guy who works there was very helpful and gave good advice, but didn't really seem to remember that I had been there before (more than once). The eye doctor is soft-spoken but always looks at me funny when I'm in the store (that "I know you from somewhere but don't remember your name so this is sort of awkward" look). If you're looking for a medical office type feel for your eye examinations (which I'm not), do look elsewhere. read more

Snooty. Really I don't know if I should say more. I came in interested in buying frames, and after browsing and waiting for 5-10 minutes left. The dude at the counter never made an effort to acknowledge me...I won't be going to the prom with him. read more

I've been wearing glasses since the age of 6, and once I was cleared to wear contacts I had hopped to never wear glasses again. I needed a new optometrist, and Dr. Will was a mere couple blocks away, why not go in for my annual contact renewal? From the moment I stepped in, I was mesmerized by the frames, I never knew wearing glasses could be so stylish. AJ is my absolute favorite "frame guru", he's helped me choose my sophisticated Prada frames to the new edgy pink Tom Ford frames everyone seems to love. Dr. Will is an absolute sweetheart, he always takes the time to answer my questions, and is never impatient when I can't seem to decide if #5 is clearer than #6. Not to mention I've also had to take my glasses to get repaired (my fault, they were bent out of shape after waking up from a night of drinking) and they are always eager to help me out. 3 years with Hyperoptics Optometry and I love it more every time I go back. Thank you! read more

I needed an eye exam to renew my contact lens prescription. Dr. Jenny Ha and her staff were professional and friendly, and the eye exam was reasonably priced. Highly recommended. read more

The best costumer service and great style! AJ is the general manager and always greets me by name. The staff has been there for years. Five star optometrist. read more

after years of vascillating between McOptical stores, HMOs, and frou-frou optometry practices that try to upsell you i'm happy to report i've found a place i love: - the oh-so-gracious, gentle and knowledgeable dr. will. - chris, who just plain rocks - superfriendly - he not only produces their ubercreative haight street storefront displays, but was also highly adept at translating my less-than-simple benefits policy. - vincent who was so very kind as to adjust and clean my poor, abused glasses the minute i walked in. - the best selection of frames evAR. - right in my 'hood! yay! read more

Love love love Dr. Will. And Chris(?) who always goes out of his way to help every time. The service is superb, and I have no idea what some of these reviewers are complaining about. Granted, the guy doctor who helped me the first time I went was a bit green. But I got Dr. Will for my follow up and I couldn't have been happier. It's nice to have a doc who actually listens to (and gives you) what you want, rather than go through the motions and give you the generic procedure like all the other docs out there. read more

Had my first visit to an eye doctor in, oh about, 15 years. Both Dr. Chantaduly and Chris were very friendly and helpful. The examination was thorough and professional. I was seen for my appointment on time, which is something that cannot be said for all doctor appointments! Chris was helpful picking out a pair of frames. Bonus for having a nice selection of frames - lose a point for the pr iciness of the frames. Once I got home I researched the frames I liked to find them readily available for 1/2 the price. Let's face it, that is standard at most professional offices. I look forward to my return next year! read more

HyperOptics are great. The staff is incredibly helpful and friendly and the ambiance is much more casual and stylish than an ordinary optometrist. They don't have the largest or most diverse collection of glasses, but this is made up for by the fact that their selections are spot on when it comes to style and quality, which ultimately makes shopping for glasses a lot easier. read more

I recommend going this place for an eye exam because Dr. Will was always friendly and patient guy. I liked how he made sure towards the end of the eye exam that my new prescription felt comfortable. I gave this four star because they didn't carry the brand I like. I mean they do carry Tom Ford and Martin martin but I got tired of those look. read more

I've been wearing glasses since I was eight, and my astigmatism has become progressively worse over 25 years. But ever since that first visit with Dr. Chantaduly three years ago, I have NEVER seen through a pair of glasses better than I do now. And last year, for the first time in 25 years, my prescription has not changed!! I'm still seeing perfectly well with the same prescription. Dr. Chantaduly is very thorough and very keen with his testing. I tell everyone with astigmatism to go here. With all the experience I've had with optometrists, I am truly impressed. Thanks Dr. Will!!!! read more

Helpful patient and great customer service. I've used them now for several years and have continued to return for their personal attention and selection. If I didn't have vision coverage I probably wouldn't buy my frames here,(They are very pricey) but Its convenience totally makes up for the price differential that you can probably fine elsewhere read more

At 24 years old, I had my first eye appointment year. I came in because I have difficulty seeing at night. Dr. Diana did a very thorough checkup of my eyes, and explained everything to me very well. Turns out, I needed glasses, and what a huge difference they make! All this time I thought I had perfect vision when in reality I am slightly nearsighted. The number of glasses they have to choose from is impressive....I just wish that glasses in general were more flattering for my face! The staff was very friendly and kind. I am glad that I will no longer be seeing starbursts while I am driving at night. I enjoyed my appointment here and am looking forward to next year's check-up. read more

We stopped in to have my wife's sunglasses fixed with a loose or missing screw.. staff was friendly and quoted us a reasonable price for the fix, to our surprise she did it free of charge and with a smile!.. this place is highly recommended! Not to mention they were open on a holiday!!! read more

Great service and a nice selection of frames. Dr. Will is very courteous and knowledgeable and answers questions quite clearly. When it came time to order lenses for my new frames Chris was over the top with customer service and explaining all my options for VSP insurance. I will definitely be a repeat customer! read more

As far as eye doctors go I really enjoyed the experience. Not your father's eye doctor. gone are the white coats. just friendly, nice - very very helpful with your insurance. My new lenses came back quickly. Will be a continued customer each year. read more

Earlier I extolled the work of Dr. Lisa. Dr. Will is just as great, as is the staff up front. I can't recommend these guys any more.

I've been coming here for a few years now. The staff is beyond friendly. I feel like family there. They always have the coolest frames. I get compliments often and point people in HyperOptics direction! read more

Friendly and intuitive doctors. Attentive and patient staff that are willing to help even the most indecisive patient pick the perfect frames. Also very knowledgeable when it comes to knowing what is covered under your insurance as well as how to maximize your FSA money! :) read more

Does a really phenomenal job empowering the customer to know his/her optimal optics solution! Very much recommended, especially AJ!!

My eyes tested perfect so they couldn't sell me glasses and instead they convinced me I had sun damage on my eye (im 23). And talked me into buying 200.00 sunglasses. I had no sun damage on my eyes whatsoever. terrible place. read more

A great eyeglass boutique with outstanding helpful and friendly service and a good selection of fun glasses. We've already purchased three pairs of glasses and will definitely purchase our next pair from Hyperoptics. Chris was awesome! read more

I just stopped in because my pair of glasses wdre missing a nose pad. The guy working there put a new pair of pads on my glasses for no charge and was very nice about everything. While waiting for the repair to be done, I looked about and saw many cool glasses. For the next pair of glasses I get, I will certainly stop there first. read more

Took almost two weeks to get my glasses after they said it would only take one. I had to take a couple hours off of work when they said it would be shipped that day, and guess what? They called and said that it didn't show up in the shipment. Hmm. After spending almost $500 I thought they would treat their customers a little bit better. I will never go back here and I would say that you should go somewhere else to get your eyes checked and to buy glasses. The people are nice, but that was overshadowed by the awful service and the constant disappointment of having to continually set my expectations lower as the days go. Trust me, you will be happy that you went somewhere beside HyperOptics. read more

These guys are awesome!!! Nuff said. best service and friendly people I have dealt with.

I believe I had Dr Will, but I had a really great experience from the entrance to the exit!!! The receptionist Chris was really helpful explaining my insurance co pay/coverage and Dr Will is awesome!!! Super chill guy and knows how to just be real with you, not all awkward/cheesy like most optometrists. Any who I would totally recommend this place to anyone! read more

I've been here 3 times over the past 4 years for check-ups, each time with a different doctor, and I've always been impressed. They are all quite good. I highly recommend. read more

I've been wearing glasses and contacts my whole life, and this is hands down the best optometrist office I have ever been to. Super helpful staff, cool frames, modern office, good location, you really can't ask for more. read more

i think the staff here is very nice and Dr will is great. it is a bit pricey though, but i guess thats how it is for designer frames most places. But the service is very good, and it has a fun uppeat vibe. the frames are very stylish there. I went there years back, and loved it, then I cheaped out one year and got my RX and lenses at costco (but bought the frames at hyperoptics) . that was a mistake as i was never happy with the way costco handled my lenses, they were hard to clean, now i plan to keep coming back to these guys, its worth the extra $. read more

I wear glasses and contacts and my partner and I have been coming here for over 6 years for my annual eye exam. Dr William and now Dr Jenny have both taken care of me. They are thorough with their examinations and patient - taking the time to answer all my questions - and to explain what they are doing. I have to say, as great as the Doctors are - the front of house managers formerly Chris, and now AJ really take that extra step to provide delightful customer service. AJ is a true professional - very welcoming, friendly and happy to patiently make as many adjustments as my glasses needed until I was comfortable with the way they sat on my face. He is also fun to work with when selecting frames. Their selection of frames is excellent - and very reasonably priced. read more

I went to HyperOptics for my most recent eye exam and to reorder contact lenses and had a great experience. The staff were really friendly and welcoming and the doctor (whose name I cannot remember) was really thorough with her exam. For my contact lens order, the staff offered to submit the rebate paperwork on my behalf which was really nice. read more

I first checked out HyperOptics years ago because Dr. Will used to be my neighbor and I wanted to support his new business. But, even if I did not know Dr Will I would still think that he has the best practice in the city. He is a thorough and thoughtful optometrist and he has the best selection of high quality frames. I love every single frame that I have gotten at HyperOptics. read more

I have 3-4 pairs of glasses already, so I'm not in the market for new ones. However, I needed new contact lenses and a new prescription. Enter HyperOptics. I've always seen it in the Haight, but never thought my insurance would take it. It does. HyperOptics is a great place. Both optometrists I've had have been so nice!. Professional but relaxed atmosphere. It really feels like they care about what kind of experience you have, and they don't fault you if you don't want to buy glasses from them. read more

I've gone here 2 years for my eye doc appointments. Everyone is helpful, very nice and well versed in eye care. I recently had my eyes dilated and it took a little longer for my eyes to adjust back to normal. I was concerned and the they saw me immediately, checked me out and assured me all was fine. My eyes cleared up and I was grateful for the care. read more

Recently went back for my 2nd visit. Service even better than the first time. Dr. Chantaduly did a great job on checking my eyes out and noticed a minor problem and gave me a recommendation to a specialist to get it checked out. Vincent was super helpful when choosing my frames. Encouraged me to branch out from my usual metal frames and helped me chose a great pair at a reasonable price. Have got loads of compliments on the new frames. Everyone in their is great to deal with. read more

When I bought glasses from Lens Crafters before, they hurt my eyes. When I bought glasses from HyperOptics Optometry the glasses help me see crisp and sharp and are a joy to wear for as long as I like with no discomfort. They really took the time to test my eyes and get the RX right for my new glasses. I will be a returning customer!! read more

Oh my gosh. The place looks cool, but the service is bad, the people aren't friendly AT ALL. My mom and I walked in there, hopeful that we'd find a nice pair of glasses, but when we walked in, the employees didn't say anything, they just stared. But, when other people came in about 2 or 3 minutes later, they said "hi how are you?" made small talk and stuff like that. The employees even went up to every single customer and asked if they needed any help or how they were doing. But they completely ignored us. Very rude. We left, I do not recommend this place.
