I discovered Hyperion Works by browsing the reviews in Yelp and thought I'd give them a try. I was a little worried about the fact that I owned a Dell Alienware computer which has a few additional requirements due to their custom hardware and I wasn't sure if they had dealt with that before. But, I quickly discovered that they knew what they were doing and I've taken it to them multiple times for various issues and they were always able to get me back up and running in a minimum amount of time. My machine is 8 years old and it's running just like it did when I bought it. Chris is super-knowledgeable, always wants to help and give advice, does great work and the company charges very reasonable prices. And they're good about getting back to you. I really feel confident in the company and they are my new "go-to" for fixing any kind of computer. After struggling to find a decent computer repair place in my neck of the woods, I settled on Red7 in Tempe because they had the best reviews for any local repair shop. I was excited to have found what looked like a great place to get my wife's laptop repaired. Plus, who wouldn't rather support a local, reputable business than their large chain competitors? I took the laptop in on a Saturday morning, explained the issue, and was told they would let me know by end of day Monday what the issue was. Monday rolled around, and I hadn't heard anything. I gave them a call Tuesday: the phone number on my invoice was "disconnected"...what the hell. I went in that evening and let them know their number was not working (turns out they accidentally didn't update it on their paperwork when they moved). They diagnosed the issue and gave me the quote, in which I agreed to the work (price seemed reasonable). I was told the laptop would be ready by Thursday afternoon at the latest. Thursday afternoon rolls around......no call. Great. I called them Friday afternoon, and they had apparently literally just finished fixing it 10 minutes before I called. Bought the Yelp Deal and picked up the laptop Friday evening. Good news is the omputer seems good as new and is working normal again. Michael explained to me what I needed to do with it once I got it home (which was cool, but I already knew this). I was okay with it being ready a day late, but was a little frustrated by the lack of communication through the entire transaction. It was obvious Michael genuinely appreciated the business. I'd consider giving them another chance the next time I have a technology issue. read more

This place is amazing! My laptop wifi wasn't working, so after getting a few quotes from other places, I contacted Hyperion Works. They said to bring it in and leave it. I can't be without my computer since I work from home, so they said to bring it in and they'd look at it right away, which they did. It turned out to be a Windows driver problem, not a hardware problem like I thought. It took about 10 minutes to fix and only cost me $25. I love this place. They are extremely knowledgeable and very fair, honest, helpful, and accommodating. I highly recommend them. read more

I called Nick Coons late in the afternoon and he had someone at my home in less than 24 hours! Chris was wonderful. He was on time and very pleasant. He removed all the nasty stuff I had on my PC. (I'm sure it wasn't "operator error." Ha ha.) He tested everything and set me back up to where I was before. I would highly recommend Hyperion. Their fee is VERY reasonable for true professionals. I took my laptop in because it had a virus. They had to wipe the hard drive and re-install. From this point, I can not hook to my wireless modem in my house. They said there is nothing they can do about it, stared at me until I left. This was the second computer I took to them. Once they do what ever it is they do, they leave you hanging. Brought in a laptop with an over heating problem. They fixed it perfectly and at a cheap price. The only downside is they mistakenly (or not...) disconnected one of the two cables running to my realtek wireless LAN. so I had to open up the computer and reconnect it. read more

I can't say enough about RED7 Computer Repair.I was nervous about who I could trust with transferring my data but I read the amazing reviews on Yelp about Red7 and decided to give them a shot. I took my crashed computer and the new replacement in around 1:00 pm. Their promise is that they can give you an estimate in 24 hours and repairs in another 24 hours. They called me before 5:00 the same day with the estimate. Rob explained what they could and could not due in plain English, Note: They are hardware people not software people so pay attention. It was very reasonable compared to other services in the area (about 1/3rd the cost) so I approved the service and had my computer back in my hands less than 24 hours from when I dropped it off! Found this place here on Yelp and decided to give them a try because of their good reviews. I needed some upgrades to my gaming computer that I was a little to timid to try myself, but after talking with Rob , I was sure that I would get the level of expertise I was hoping for. He promised a 24 hr. turn around, and then completed the work the same day which I thought was amazing. Last time I had this computer at another repair shop it took almost a week to get it back for almost the same amount of work completed. These people are great! Took our Dad's older computer to them because it couldn't be roused out of sleep mode....had to be resrarted several times a day . They could have easily tagged us for much more than the $125.00 charge. They're honest, reasonably priced and very, very fast. Computer in on Friday and picked up first thing on Monday. I was very happy with the free diagnoses. Every other place wanted at least $40 to diagnose. Some wanted $75. After calling all around, not only were they the fastest repair, but the cheapest too. The staff was very nice and professional as well. I would totally recomend them. Seriously, why would you want to pay $40 or more just for them to tell you what's wrong with your computer. read more

We are new to the Phoenix area and had no idea who to call when a computer issue arose. We looked around on the Internet and came across Red7. I decided to take a chance and took our computer to them late in the afternoon. I received a call early the next morning telling me of the status, what needed to be done and that they should have it ready later the same day. I was again contacted by Phil from Red7 that same afternoon advising they were done. Phil explained what they did and why, made some other changes and recommendations and we were on our way for less than $200.00. Prior to leaving the store, Phil advised us to call him if we had any problems rebooting as they had to clear our computer and reinstall everything. We had to recall him twice as we're not what you would call computer literate people.On both calls Phil was most cordial, solved our issues and encouraged us to recall if we needed any other assistance.
