I called (623) 939-3355 and spoke to the owner where he told me that he can't remember a time where he had to replace the ITV Assembly ($200) as they don't go out. I was using cheaper Replacement INK Cartridges instead of Canons. He told me how to test the machine and to put up with the noise until I replace the cartridges even if it's one at a time. I found this company when I was having an error message show up on my Canon printer. After all of…read morethe online troubleshooting, it told me that I needed to contact an authorized Canon service center -- I was surprised to find there were only 2 in the Phoenix area...and luckily, this one was close to me! I called and was thrilled to have a human being answer the phone! He was very helpful and answered all of my questions about service fees and possible charges -- I said I would think about it (it was just $25 for the diagnostics, but I know oftentimes it's cheaper to just buy a new one than have one fixed...and he agreed!). I decided to take it in to them anyway and see what was wrong. I was greeted by Grant when I went in and he was extremely understanding and helpful -- said he would check it out and get back to me the next day (it was about 4:15 pm) --- I was very surprised to get a phone call later that evening from him -- he said he was working late and went ahead and looked at my printer. Unfortunately, it was bad news...the part and labor would run about $125...pretty close to the cost of a new printer. I said I would think about it and get back to him. He understood and even gave me suggestions of places to look for new printers! I decided to purchase a new one...but was allowed to go back to the store to get the ink cartridges out of my old printer! A nice savings as I didn't have to buy new ones right away! It was just very refreshing to find a small business still ran on honesty and customer service! I feel bad for not spending more than $25 there...but should I ever need printer repair (or other business machine) services again, I'll definitely be back!

So, my experience with these guys was a total accident. I wasn't expecting to need their services…read morebut I'm not only super happy with the results of the end-products, I'm also very relieved they were the ones to holistically take on my project. I was putting together a new computer build for school. The component list was completely high-end and involved an AIO (all in one) water cooling solution with a 360mm radiator and an AIO water cooled graphics card with a 120mm radiator. In addition, I had two M.2 drives with custom EK heat sinks and an NZXT "i' series case with their smart hub for fan and lighting control along with several other custom parts. I was recently diagnosed with a form of bone cancer and underestimated how badly the treatments I've been receiving would effect my fine motor control and ended up bricking a Gigabyte AORUS motherboard by dropping my CPU and crushing several pins. At that point I was feeling pretty dejected and wasn't sure if I would be able to put my computer together without damaging some VERY expensive hardware components. I was seriously upset with myself, mad at the totality of the circumstances surrounding the situation, and generally upset. I had seen Extreme Micro a few times in my intermittent goings to the Japanese food place in which they occupy the same plaza and figured I'd stop in to see if they offered a build service. I met Grant, the guy who is their usual customer contact for product and services, and was also affectionately and distantly barked at by Odin (their shop dog who hangs out in the back of the shop - this has nothing to do with my project experience but made my happy because I'm a big dog person) as I walked inside. Grant informed me they were more than capable of handling my build and provided a cost structure and possible time frame for project completion. I dropped off the components within the next few hours. There were a few hiccups along the way (because I had some faulty RAM and was missing a cable the factory forgot to package along with my CPU AIO) but both Grant and Scott (their principal system builder) kept me informed of what was going on so that I could swap out the parts necessary to give Scott what he needed to finish the project. They have a really cool email ticket correspondence system that they update with major project milestones and use it if they need to reach out to a customer. I thought it was helpful to watch my email for updates and to keep apprised of what was happening with my build. Due to the complexity of my system and the hardware hiccups (that were unfortunately normal RMA issues in the PC world and had nothing to do with Scott or the Extreme Micro guys) it took about a week to get the call that my computer was completed. In the realm of PC building this is actually pretty remarkable but they're used to pushing out projects much faster. All in all the technician hours that went into my build totaled enough to make compilation labor quite expensive (like they could have charged me several hundreds of dollars and probably should have) but instead honored the price that Grant quoted for me as an estimate when I first dropped off my parts. THAT is amazing. Back to my computer; it turned out INSANE. And the best type of insane I've ever experienced in the full technological tenure of my life. Like full PC Master Race insane. Scott is not only a cable management god but he also installed windows and all my drivers, conducted any and all updates and made sure the platform was stable and ready to go before releasing it to me. My experience was obviously the above: from a pile of high end components, my shattered ego, and pent of frustrations of not being able to handle my build myself, to being surprised by the nicest looking computer build I've ever been lucky enough to own and I can genuinely say it wouldn't have turned out this well if I did it myself. And with all the technical hiccups that occurred I probably would have ended up conducting a similar google search to pay them to troubleshoot the errors I probably would have made anyway. I seriously couldn't be happier with my experience with Extreme Micro or the product I received. If for some reason you've made it to the end of this review, don't think twice about giving them a call and procuring ANY of their IT services. He seemed to really empathize. When he invoiced me (he said to cover new parts), I paid the same day. Then I tried to be patient because I trusted he was doing his best. After all, he did have so many five-star reviews. Then this bizarre saga began. Travis strung me along for a while via text then completely ghosted me for longer. I went to his door and found his residence evacuated. Alarmed, I disputed the credit card charge and filed a police report for theft. Only when he became aware of that was it worth his time to answer me. By this time, I had seen all the negative reviews that had rolled in since our transaction. I felt doomed, but I genuinely needed and still need that particular computer back. Travis pseudo-apologized and declared, "I want to put this nightmare behind us as much as you do" like we were on the same team in this tomfoolery. Travis offered to mail me the computer as soon as I dropped the dispute with the credit card company (which would pay him in full again) and provided proof that I had closed the police report, requiring me to make a false statement saying we had already resolved the matter between us. Obviously, I knew that if I complied, I'd still be out of a computer, so I refused. Then Travis said he hadn't finished the repair (which was weird because he had told me it was packaged and ready to mail). I told him I didn't mind taking it elsewhere to be fixed, and I'd still gladly close the police report if I just got the computer back. He got defensive, saying he had already put too much into it. So I offered in writing to bring cash in hand to pay for any work he had already done and any parts he had purchased or even to pay for the entire service in cash (if he was willing finish the work right away) then immediately close the police report. But like any sane person, I'd do all of this only if I got my computer back. Travis wrote, "At the end of the day, I've done nothing wrong" and went on painting himself as my victim. He never took accountability for anything. He just listed all the problems I was causing him. Then Travis pretended he didn't trust me not to reopen the police report and falsely claim I hadn't received the computer. He refused to reveal his whereabouts or meet in person and did not respond to my request that he mail the computer to someone else who could give it to me, a meeting which could have been recorded as proof that I had received it (if my willingness to put it in writing wasn't enough). Travis sent me his "policy" (that had not been posted anywhere) stating that any property not picked up after a certain time was his to keep. Then, he told me he could and should charge me storage fees because he had stored my computer for me for too long when per his policy he isn't obligated to do so. He portrayed himself as the good Samaritan who was being persecuted. I'm not sure if it was gaslighting or delusion. My final email (also unanswered) was a very polite request for a simple pic of the serial just to confirm he still even had my computer. To me, no response was a clear no. Game over.

I reached out to him inquiring about my HP laptop that died on me randomly. I met Travis at a very shady Planet fitness parking lot in the middle of the ghetto to provide him my laptop (red flag #1). Travis advised me he should be able to have my laptop to me by EOD. Throughout the day Travis was at first very communicative, letting me know what he thought the issue was. He advised me the cost and asked for it in cash only (2nd red flag). He then messaged me later on in the day indicating he believed it might be a DIFFERENT issue and it would cost me MORE money due to it possibly being my screen (3rd red flag). He claimed he should be able to have it all fixed and ready for me to pick up in a few days. I finally went to meet up with Travis and paid him over $300+ dollars and he "claimed everything was fixed" but he coincidentally "forgot" to charge my laptop so it was dead. What do you know.. to my surprise when I get home and actually charge my laptop it is still broken and I am experiencing the SAME issue. I messaged Travis and attempted to call a number that was provided on an invoice he sent me and to my surprise again no answer. I then messaged him on Facebook marketplace MULTIPLE TIMES & well what do you know the ad had been magically taken down. He has failed to hold up his end of the deal. I am a single mother and it is crazy to me that there are people in this world that scam innocent people out of money.
