would you like a great example of honesty? We ll here's one…read morefrom my experience with Longhorn Mac Repair. I brought my iPhone into them for the repair of a cracked screen. I had been quoted a price of $250. The higher price was because I requested the use of OEM parts. The gentleman at the shop took it and was giving it a thorough inspection. He asked me what I had been quoted and then said lI think I'm going to save you some money. He peeled of the glass protective cover. the screen wasn't broken, it was the protective cover! He put on a new one and charged me $5.00. A dishonest business could have easily told me to come back in an hour and charged me the original quoted price. I would have been none the wiser. Thank you Longhorn.

Got hit with the classic "why today?" Mac hiccup and needed a no-nonsense fix. Longhorn Mac Repair…read morecame up with solid reviews and quick turnaround, so I gave them a shot. Atmosphere: Nothing flashy--just functional, which is exactly what you want when your laptop is on the fritz. Service: Friendly, efficient, and communicative. They're good about quoting before work starts and answering questions clearly (even after hours in some cases), and they'll tell you what can be done same-day vs. what needs parts. I spoke mostly with Patrick and he was very cordial and to the point. These guys know what they are doing, since most of them are former Apple specialists. Notes/Tips: Call ahead or request a quote online if you're on a tight schedule. Bring your charger if the issue seems power-related--it helps them test faster. (General best practice.) Definitely my top recommended for any Apple based repairs needed

The Genius Bar at Apple told me it could not be repaired and I would need to replace the Logic Board for $850 or "just buy a new one." A local (Orange County) 3rd party repair shop, after having it for a week, told me it couldn't be repaired. I then went to Reddit for help and suggestions. There were several referrals to Rossmann Repair Group. I contacted them through their online contact form. They immediately messaged with a few more questions and then gave me the necessary details to send my device to them in Austin. I did so - of course, the holidays slowed things down a bit, but by the second week in January, I received word that my lap top had been successfully repaired, losing NONE of my data. Amazing! The cost? A mere $459 which includes shipping back (USPS) to me, signing at delivery. I did have go pay for shipping to get it to them. Totally worth it to me. To insure safe and speedy delivery, signing upon delivery, to them. I paid about $89 for UPS, not including double boxing and bubble wrap. So, in total, I paid $638, for shipping to, repair, shipping back. I didn't lose ANY of my data. I am sooo happy and thankful to Rossmann Repair Group. Thank you!!!

After about 5 minutes he came back stating the power rail was broken, but I did not proceed with the repair, as the cost of repair was more than the value of the laptop. The quote was half of Apple's quote and came with a guarantee if that I will not pay if they can't successfully fix it. This is miles better than the Apple store as they would make you wait over 15 minutes even though you had an appointment just for the "genius" to say you need to quote an $800 logic board replacement. Best of all there was a cool painting of Clinton the cat!
