Well... had this place once before and the pizza was decent. I have a pick up order. Decided to order tonight for delivery and said 30 mins. Well an hour later still no pizza. App doesn't live track and it's through DoorDash. Keeps saying every 10 mins it will be here. Called the store and they said we have one driver. They said another 15 mins. So an hour and a half if that's accurate. That's way too long for pizza! You guys need to either update your app so people know what to expect or don't do delivers. No I'm stuck hangry as.... 1st time at a Howie's there menu does not really work they sell the by size as most but do not have a selection of like all meat or veggies or combo or anything like that they had a trainee who was completely clueless asked for a combo and he said what would you like so I made a list they charged by item so do most but full price for onions and olives and such. So 3 pizza cost more then $ 85.00 they he was still learning but just kind of stood there, his trainer came out to help but by then the pizza were made so I was stuck with them. As far I taste they were ok but they have different flavours of crust just a little weird. So food was about 3 and a half stars wall menu 1 star Trainee 1 Star trainer 4 stars. Just my opinion. This is my husband and I's favorite pizza place they are the only pizza place we've been able to find that put pickles on pizza and I know that's weird but it is the most glorious thing especially when you're a little tipsy. I love love love Hungry Howies, my family used to always get this every weekend and then they just closed down and moved away and now being in Utah for wirk and stuff i see them everywhere so we decided to come and try it and omg they are amazing? fresh and delicious so happy to find them again. This one the two guys working at nights were so nice and funny and very outgoing, one of them explained the food and menu to me and told us jokes, they were great people and became of these two we will definitely be back. Placed an order for two sub sandwiches. Been waiting for 55 minutes..... looked at the tracker and it shows that it is still being made.... seriously??? Called up Howies and was told that our order was currently out with the delivery driver and that it would take another 40 minutes for delivery. My advice..... DO NOT order ANYTHING from this place. You will rue it because the service is extremely slow and apparently will arrive stone cold. Update: Going on 95 mins and still no food. Next stop the BBB. read more

We tried this Pizza place recently for the first time and it was not a good experience. The kids working there at the counter were very disrespectful, which I'm finding sadly is becoming more common. First of all, Howie's website is very confusing. We ordered online and when you select pepperoni, the most common order per the picture, because we didn't add pepperoni, we ended up with a cheese pizza. I mention this to the girl at the counter that the website is to blame for our screwed-up order and her response was-Well we can't do s*** about it. It's not the curse word that was the issue, it was her attitude along with her other co-worker. Very condescending and couldn't care attitude. Franchisee's need to teach basic hospitality and customer service skills or don't hire these kids. For a first experience, in a city full of other pizza choices within less than a mile away, you'd expect more from a no-name brand or they won't survive amongst their competition. read more

I was very surprised to receive a text from Door Dash that my pizza would be delivered in 40 min. This would be 1 1/2 hours from the time I ordered it. I was very surprised that they shared my contact information with A third party. The Howie App said that my order would be delivered in approximately 30 min. Finally decided to try Hungry Howie's. All I can say is that the pizza was very delicious!! I placed my order online for delivery. I was expecting a long delivery time seeing how I placed my order on a Friday night. The website showed that my food would be delivered in 45 min. I was good with that but to my surprise they showed up to my house in 20 minutes... WOW! I was almost worried thinking that the pizza would not be that good, I was wrong. The whole pizza was so good but their pepperoni is my favorite out of all the other pizza places around here. The stuffed crust with garlic herb amazing. I also got the pepperoni & cheese Howie roll with a side of pizza sauce for dipping and an 8 piece buffalo wings. The pizza alone was 5 stars!! You may be wondering why I'm only giving them 4 stars. When my food was delivered the pizza sauce that I ordered was not with my food. I took it as a loss, no big deal, it was only 69 cents. Also, the wings were good but they were a little on the burnt side. The pizza was so good that I decided to try them again the next day on Saturday. This time I decided that I would pick it up. I got a large pepperoni pizza with stuff crust and an order of garlic butter dipping sauce. The pizza did not disappoint. It was again, really really good! But small issue again with the side order of sauce. I had to ask about it and they were really nice about it and gave it to me. When I got home I began eating and opened up the garlic butter to dip my pizza into but the issue was that it was so cold that it was more of a spread than a dipping sauce. Either way it tasted really good. I will no longer settle for blah pizza from PizzaHut or Dominos. Keep it up Hungry Howie's crew! They have the best pizza anywhere near us! read more

Great customer service and excellent tasting pizza. I always ask for well done and square cut. They never complain and always strive to make it the way I want. The employees always read back our order to ensure accuracy. The only time they made a mistake they caught it and bent over backwards to make it right. I pulled up to the drive through at 6:50pm (40 minutes later) to get my order and the guy had no clue where my order was. They were completely disorganized and it turns out they never processed my order. They asked me to wait an additional 15 minutes to make the pizzas but I just left. This place is great. When you get pizza you can pick some interesting flavors of crust. Butter, CAJUN!, garlic, and etc. The subs are really good. The bread is like a pizza dough thats folded in half, very tasty. The salads are super fresh. Better than any other pizza place. Pasta salad is the best IMO. Give it a shot! Worst service Ive experienced at ANY pizza joint / restaurant. WARNING although new to Layton, this place should be run out of business now. Placed a phone order tonight at 6:02 pm for carry out. Was told 15 minutes for pick up time. I arrived at 6:20 pm and by 6:40 pm three separate customers walked out of the parlor without pizza because Howies "didn't get the order." One lady directly in front of me waited 40 mins and had to reorder. When I was up, the front desk gal told me they didn't have my order. I showed them my phone log and told them I had ordered at 6:02. I asked for a manager who was behind the counter screaming at employees "just throw it out, because we don't know whose it is." Total chaos and horrible service. Never did get my pizza. Heading over to Pizza Hut or Little Ceasars for real service and organization. Don't waste your time or energy with this place.
