First time going to a North Salt Lake farmer's market food truck event. Never heard of a Pizza Cone and the food truck that has been around for 3 years. Was excited to try it and love things different and unique! Found out that they make everything from scratch which is awesome and a big plus for my palate! When I checked in on Yelp I saw that the reviews weren't that great. Also saw 7 reviews that had a 5 star rating not being shown/recommended. Don't know why that ratings would be like that as that is affecting their business overall. We ordered 3 pepperoni cones and we all loved them! Took a little bit for them to bake them fresh but was well worth the wait! Great customer service with a smile and can't wait to try their other items ie garlic knots, Island, Loaded, and SLB have piqued my interest. read more

The garlic knots were little balls of dough with charred garlic from a jar on the outside, once we wiped that off they were tasty with the spicy ranch dip. The tax rate for prepared-on site food is 8.25% The owner of the truck first tried to dismiss me, then argued with me and threw a dollar out the window. As a customer, I had the right to request the total to be corrected, whether she liked it or not. I didn't like the option of requiring us to purchase garlic knots and a soda either. The overcooked, greasy cone would have been enough. $16.47 for food that's not great, a 15 minute wait and overcharged - you bet I looked at my receipt! Look at yours, too! read more

I think the owners and founders of Pizza Cone Zone had a unique idea and it works! Usually when I'm at an event where there's a bunch of food trucks, I'm usually roaming around, so to have a pizza cone to munch on instead of a pizza slice in my hand was a lot more efficient. This time, I ran into them at Yappy Hour at Pioneer Park and decided to try them out. The prices were a little high, in my opinion. For the price I paid, I would've liked bigger portions. But everything is made to order, it seems like...since there wasn't a line when I was there, but they told me it would be a 10 minute wait. I thought the taste was okay. October 2018 update: I ran into "The Zone" again for Daybreak's Food Truck League night. It's been too long! Their cones are still awesome. I had the "Coner Special": A cone, a heaping order of garlic knots and a drink. I love the way they cook it ... definitely that yummy, opened baked pizza taste. To describe what a "pizza cone" is like ... it's not really like if you rolled up a slice. On the top, a coated of melted cheese. On the inside, a river of cheese with chunks of pineapple and ham riding the rapids. And it still tastes great! Get in the zone!!!! Original review - July 2017: What a great way to eat a pizza with less mess. Better yet, they are very yummy. I've been following them on Facebook (which is essential to know where this innovative food truck will be) and they came out to SLC recently and I tried them out. So good, I went sought them out again. Their SLB - smoked mozzarella, lemon, basil, salt pepper and olive oil is awesome ... they say it's a limited time ... PCZ, put it on the full time menu! They also have some of the tried-and-true favorites: Pepperoni, Island (Pineapple and Ham), Ooie Gooie (a whole bunch cheese). There are more, I'm making my way through them. The quality is first rate. I would like to see more menu options in the future, and less cancellations of where they will be. Otherwise, awesome ... First time eating at pizza cone zone, it's different and unique but not that special. They do stand out because it is different, but not worth it. I got the cheese pizza and it was definitively cheesy, but it just tasted like a load of cheese on a piece of crIspy bread. Didn't really taste the marinara unfortunately. My man got the loaded pizza with all the meats and stated that there was not a lot of toppings just a lot of cheese. Lastly the garlic knots....they were round and had a lot of flavor, too much! Really salty and I don't think there was garlic on them at all? The marinara dipping sauce was too thick I had to scoop it and the special ranch sauce had no flavor. I visited this food truck during an event at Layton City Park. The service was great, fairly fast, and friendly. I ordered the cheese pizza cone for my 3 year old. It does come out super super hot so make sure to be careful with little ones. It's very cheesy! I think it could have been a little more flavorful but my daughter ate every bit! The food Tonight I tried Pizza Cone Zone and it was one of the few times that pizza has actually disappointed. I ordered a pepperoni pizza cone and garlic knots. Pizza cone zone.... Well to be honest over priced for the small cone you receive. If I were to pay 6 dollars for what seems like a small size slice of pizza stuffed into a mold and baked for 10 mins. I would go buy a full sized pizza from little Caesar's or big daddy's. The only reason they get the second star is because the garlic knots were okay and I do have to say there spicy ranch is pretty good. I LOVE Pizza Cone Zone! First of all - what a fun idea! Pizza in a cone? Brilliant! It's easy to carry and all the cheesy goodness doesn't fall off! These cones are LOADED to the brim with delicious toppings (my favorite part- not too much sauce, lots of cheese, ham, cheese, pineapple and more cheese ) The Garlic Knots are my absolute favorite though! I could eat those All. Day. Long. Especially with a side of their homemade Ranch and hot honey - YUM! But to top it off - their customer service is amazing! I enjoyed a delicious ham and pineapple pizza cone on March 21st at the Hub food truck park in South Jordan. It was loaded with lots of cheese, ham cubes and pineapple. They also had garlic knots and several dipping sauces. I went with the ranch sauce. They were nice and hot with just the right amount of garlic. They had a large assortment of soda options. They also had rice crispy treats. I think their "coner special" is a great deal. The staff are very friendly and helpful. My little sister had a big thing at her school and this food truck was there, I ordered a regular pizza cone thing and was able to eat half of it, I would not have continued to eat it if it had cost so much. I love eating at the Pizza Cone Zone! They cook every cone fresh when ordered and in about 10 minutes you get a hot, cheesy, yummy, hand-held cone of deliciousness! I ordered the SLB in the special so I got the cone, garlic knots, and a drink for around $10.00 which seemed more than fair. I was pleasantly full after consuming every bit of my cone and last garlic knot. The truck (according to the window gal) is women owned and operated which is also a cool fact. The food was not very good. We had an Ooey Gooey cone and a Meat Head cone. The meat was undetectable, the overall taste not impressive. Thought the idea of a pizza cone was super cool, so I was way excited when they showed up at my work 2 days ago, however I was sorely disappointed. The price for their cones is RIDICULOUS considering the size of the cone, the cone itself was tiny and could be finished in roughly 3-4 bites. And I thought the flavor may make up for it, but again was nothing but disappointed. I went back into work convincing everyone to not waste their money when you can walk over lucky slice, and get a huge piece of quality pizza for about the same price. I was looking for a new place for lunch and I discovered the Hub food truck park in South Jordan. I discovered a food truck called Pizza Cone Zone. They make pizza in a cone a shaped crust. I've never posted a review before this but because of the great experience I had, I feel I must leave a review. The people running the truck were very helpful and patient with me as they answered all my questions. They recommended I try the SLB which is smoked gouda, lemon and basil. They also told me about their "coner special" which includes a pizza cone, garlic knots and a drink for $10. I must say that the SLB was one of the best pizza flavors I've ever had. I also enjoyed the generous serving of well seasoned garlic knots with a delicious marinara dipping sauce. They had both Coke and Pepsi beverages. I had a diet Coke. They told me that they will be at the Hub every Thursday for both lunch and dinner. I will definitely be going back many times to try all of the other cone flavors. read more
