Lunch special truffle pasta and meatballs
Naomi G.

The food is amazing! Their lunch deals are great before 3 pm! I recommend the truffle pasta with meatballs

Humble Bistro was one of my go-to places on the high street. Listen, the food is still pretty good, but with the summer heat on the rise and the server comes by with a glass of DISGUSTING WATER with the SMELL TO MATCH!!! Of course, they want you to purchase a $5.00 bottle of Saratoga water. Please, for the love of everything, get a FILTRATION system in that place. The way that water smells, I'm sure it's not good for you to drink. Just get the FILTRATION SYSTEM!

For God's sake order the Brussel Sprouts! It's more like a crispy salad and boy it's amazing! We ordered the Cajun Chicken Pasta and the Short Rib Papardelle. Both were so good but we barely ate half! Sarah is one of the best servers I've had in Arizona. Thanks for the incredible service! Someone give her a raise before she's stolen! The place is quaint and I even heard Sinatra! We will be back!

Winter 2026, Caprese salad... so fresh, DELISH :)
Kathleen K.

We came here for some lunch & everything turned out delicious! Thankfully they weren't too busy because it's not a large restaurant. The feel of the restaurant is like a cafe that also offered some outdoor dining. We started off with the Caprese Salad which was delicious with just the right amount of pesto. Then we also had the buffalo wings that were cooked perfectly with the right amount of kick. We then finished off with the stone fired pizza with fresh Italian sausage, basil, leeks & ricotta cheese...OMG was it amazing! We had zero complaints from the service down to the food, everything was delish! Only complaint that I can think of is they don't take reservations therefore going for dinner could be a toss up with getting a table!

Short rib pasta

I'm actually pretty disappointed. I've been here a few times once for dine-in and a few times for take-out. The first time I got the short rib pasta it was to die for- creamy, tender, flavorful and everything was well balanced. The last few times the pasta was just eh, this most recent time the short rib wasn't even broken apart and it felt like the dish was just thrown together. Not sure if management or chefs have changed but it's not the same as it was a few years ago. Humble fries are really good topped with parmesan and chili flakes but aren't spicy. They come with some fun sauces too. Like a sweet sauce, ranch, and an aïoli. These have been consistently good every time! Location is really nice since it's in the Desert Ridge area and it's a nicer casual restaurant. Inside is smaller but there is a small seating area outside that either has fans in the summer or heater in the winter. Great place for a date night or a night out with the gals!

All the food we ordered was delicious! We polished every plate. Only thing not pictured is the crispy Brussels sprouts which we demolished in seconds. Service was great and they took good care of us. The ambiance was nice and quaint. A little loud but not bad at all. Recommend. (My friends have gone 4 more times since I took them)

I'm not going to be humble with this one: Humble Bistro is an excellent restaurant. I've visited twice: once was my second meal upon moving to Phoenix and the other was most recently on a Thursday evening for dinner. Located on High Street in Desert Ridge, you'll be able to find free parking in the various lots surrounding this district or the garage. Since I'm within walking distance, I've been on foot both times I've visited. Ambiance (4.5/5): Humble Bistro is a good looking restaurant. It achieves a nice balance of being trendy and nice while still feeling homey and comfortable. I sat at a half booth upon my most recent visit. There's also a small patio. It's a relatively small restaurant and was packed almost to the brim on a Thursday evening. It can get a little loud, but not overly burdensome. And the lights are dimmed down a bit which creates a nice ambiance. Service (4.5/5): Our waitress did a fantastic job taking care of us. She was friendly (a smile goes a long way), attentive, and efficient. Which is all you hope for, especially when a restaurant is busy while you're dining there. I was trying to decide between three options, and she gave me her recommendation. And she was on target with it. Drinks (N/A): I had an Arnold Palmer, so not much to write home about. With that being said, they have a full bar, including a wine list and cocktails. Food (4.5/5): I had the chicken parm which is served with linguine. This is a classic Italian dish that I've had countless times over the years. And this was the best one I've ever had. The chicken cutlet was fried just right. The breading, tomato sauce, and mozzarella sauce were perfect. It's a relatively simple dish, but Humble Bistro somehow does things better than anywhere I've tried. And it was a filling portion too. While the menu is Italian-centric, there are new American options too. It's an interesting menu with a lot of appetizing choices. For the quality of the food you're getting, Humble Bistro is moderately priced. Which makes it a big winner in my book. There are a lot of good dining options on High Street, Humble Bistro might just be my favorite.

Really enjoyed a number of factors about this place. Our server was incredible. We had some characters in our group and she kept them laughing and in check. Food and drinks were top notch with one of the best salads I've had. Only ding for me was a dirty table when they sat us down and the cushions were absolutely filthy.

Daisy L.

I can't get enough of Humble Bistro!!!! Honestly, absolutely everything is to die for. It's such a cute classic bistro with such good food and drinks. My menu favorite is the bistro caprese salad, this would be my death row last meal that's how obsessed I am. The short rib grilled cheese is a banger, it's soooooo good. The boards with a ton of goodies are such a great appetizer. I haven't ever had anything I do not like here. I wish we had one in Sacramento Ca. Whenever I am in AZ I basically come for lunch and dinner it's that good! I've tried all the thingssss you won't regret coming here.

Chicken Enchiladas
Desiree F.

Grabbed a quick bite in between sips of wine during the Wilcox Wine Festival. Enjoyed some green chili chicken enchiladas and they hit the spot. I couldn't tell you how many I got since they were buried in lettuce. But they were tasty! The bar service was great and my food was out fairly quick.

Creme Brulee

From the variety of seating options to the chandeliers to the copper ceiling, I really enjoyed the aesthetic of Humble Bistro. It gave me vibes of NYC, but I was told it was designed as a French Bistro. Whichever it was, it works! We were greeted as soon as we entered, and seated immediately as it wasn't too busy. (We usually eat early when we go out to avoid the crowds.) Our server, Alexis, was awesome! She was witty and charming, and chatted easily with every table. She's exactly the type of server every restaurant should have. We ordered the Forno Bread, Humble's answer to garlic bread - house made sourdough with garlic, cheese and olive oil, plus a kick of heat with calabrian flakes. Great flavor and plenty to share. The menu had so many delicious looking options. I decided on the Pasta Rosa and Meatballs - pappardelle pasta with 3 meatballs, whipped ricotta and fresh basil. Now I can be a bit picky about meatballs, but these were excellent. Pasta was perfectly cooked and the only thing I might have liked was a little more ricotta. (I'm a big fan of ricotta.) The portion size was perfect. So often it's a huge bowl of pasta and 2 measly meatballs, but this was an even ratio of pasta to meatballs and yet I still had enough to take home for tomorrow's lunch. Hubby had the Forno Short Rib, which is a 12hr braised short rib over Humble Fries. He loved it! The short rib was fork tender, and practically melted in my mouth (yes, I tried a little), and the fries are well cooked and full of flavor. Combined with the short rib - a flavor explosion! We also split a creme brulee for dessert. Delicious and a nice size for one, but as we were bordering on full from our meal, it was a perfect sharing size for us. We know we'll be back!

Cremini Sacchetti
Carter K.

Humble bistro is located on High St in Desert Ridge which is a really cool street with restaurants, bars, and shops. This is such a great location to grab dinner and drinks with some of friends which is what brought us here! The server was very friendly and helped walk us through the menu and explained each dish to us. Ultimately, we knew we wanted to try the pastas which sounded amazing to us. The Cremini Sacchetti was our favorite! I loved the truffle taste in the brown butter sauce, the truffles weren't overpowering and complimented the pasta perfectly. We also loved the Short Rib which was braised for 12 hours and falling apart. I would love to go back and try the bruschetta dishes that they are known for!

$10 Froze
Dawn B.

Love love love all their food. Ingredients are fresh. They do a great job with their brussels sprouts, Caesar salad- my partner really enjoyed the Caesar dressing, and I switched it to their vinaigrette, sandwiches, pizza, hamburgers! It's pretty impressive when you can get all of that right! Their service- well... it's average at best (some visits have had terrible service to average service). The $10 froze is spectacular though so I still go back!

To die for not so humble brussels: $12

Always a good spot for a drink and solid food. Only rec would be adding something to catch the sound in the space as it's very loud.

We were greeted by the kindest gentleman at the door, who helped us to our seats and made us feel welcome right away. Then we met Lisa--a Jersey girl with Arizona in her heart! What a sweetheart. We laughed so much with her, and she made us feel like we'd known her for years. Honestly, we couldn't have imagined a better evening with her looking after us. Ask for her section if you go, and don't be shy about asking her for recommendations! The food was fresh and so delicious, and the portions were big! We shared the calamari, a side salad and lasagna, then finished with Italian cookies, tiramisu and a latte. Definitely consider sharing, and save room for dessert! We loved the food, the atmosphere and how welcome everyone made us feel. We've already been telling people to visit and ask for Lisa! Lisa, thank you for all the laughs and for making our night so special. The Sicilian Butcher is lucky to have you. We've fallen in love with Arizona, and this evening was one of the reasons why. The service was good, however, I ordered the Ceasar Salad and Margherita Pizza for lunch. The lettuce in the salad was bitter and on the verge of turning yellow, the pizza was good, presentation could be better. The staff was courteous to oblige and correct the issue. Bakery side is lovely, Cannoli's are my favorite and they were scrumptious. Overall, it is a beautiful atmosphere, service was good, food could better for the price. I do plan on returning to the restaurant and bakery to try other menu items.

We enjoyed the $7 wine, the $5 tortellini, and the rigatoni with salmon. We also ordered the Italian chopped salad to go, and it was absolutely the best Italian chopped salad we have ever had! We loved everything so much that we knew we had to come back. Today we returned, and once again, everything was outstanding. We had the branzino special, the Involtini of Eggplant for an appetizer, and the lasagna. The lasagna was actually something we had to try because we kept hearing how the regular patrons always order it. After our first visit, we knew we had to see what all the talk was about -- and even though we were getting it to go, we had to order it! I'm honestly not even a fan of lasagna, but now I can completely understand why everyone loves it. This will be the only place I order lasagna from now on! And the bread with the pesto butter... it gets us every time! So delicious! And of course, Sal deserves another mention. Sitting at the bar with him on our first visit was such a fun experience, and he was a big reason we wanted to come back. He made us feel so welcome and made our first visit memorable. The food, the specials, the atmosphere, and the people are all fantastic. We've already been back twice, and I have a feeling The Italian Daughter is quickly becoming one of our regular spots. After looking over the menu, we started off with Francesco's frittura to share. This dish tasted fine, nothing outstanding. For our main entrees we ordered the brown butter seared scallops with sweet corn risotto and the shrimp fradiavolo. Both of these entrees were outstanding in their own respect. The risotto was subtly sweet and not heavy or rich. Additionally, the scallops were nicely seasoned and not overcooked. The shrimp fradiavolo was mildly spicy and the spaghetti was perfectly al dente. Since we always have room for dessert, we ordered the tiramisu to share. It was nice and fluffy, and not too sweet, which we prefer. Overall, service was friendly, patient, and attentive. The ambiance was comfortable and intimate with lots of indoor seating and some outdoor patio seating. I highly recommend making reservations in advance if you plan on coming here. After our great experience, we will definitely be back to try out some of their other dishes!

The decor and accent walls were all fun, and I really liked the main area. The staff was super attentive and the bartender serving us on Friday, August 28th was the best. Welcoming, informative, and kept it real with us. My partner and I landed on the pappardelle short rib pasta and toto sapore pizza. The pizza was one of my fave pizzas I've had in quite some time. The mixture of meats including sausage, soppressata, and salame parme was perfect with the right amount of spice. The pasta was al dente which was greatly appreciated and it was a lovely meal all around. No wait when we arrived slightly prior to our reservation time. Service was fine. Our waiter did mess up getting our order in-- but he fixed it and we didn't wait too long considering. He kind of disappeared at the end but another server kindly checked us out so we could go. Patio was really nice-- less noisy than inside and with the misters just fine even though it was hovering around 100 degrees. My husband said his NY strip was the best he's had in a while. I always go for the Roasted Salmon as it's a perfect balance of colors and taste. There were mixed in cauliflower and a bit of broccolini. I would definitely love to have more broccolini though. I ordered this as part of the summer menu which it comes with a choice of their daily soup (which was a creamy chicken soup on a Saturday), Sicilian meatballs, Cacio e Pepe, Simple Salad or Charcuterie plate.
