I've never left a bad review of anyone on Yelp, but I feel ripped off and bullied by this company. I was quoted one price for a re-key of a rental property and when the technician did the work the bill was 3x my expectation. He said it was more because of the type of locks I had and instead of $29.95 per lock, it was going to be $69.95 per lock and each door has two locks. I was shocked at the total and told him I wanted an itemized invoice so that I could see what I was paying for, before I paid the bill. This phone call took place at 10:45PM because he left to go do another job knowing that my house was vacant. He bullied me into giving him a credit card on the spot or my option was that I would have to find him the next day to get my keys. Going back to Cothron's for all my locksmith needs. My college son lost his key fob and I bought one from ace hardware because they advertise they can program them. However, when it came in they were unable to program it. So the refunded me the money for it and I called Michael at Hulk and he was out within a day and had an oem key fob and programmed it with minutes. EDIT: Original review below was 2 stars. I was contacted by my technician, then the business owner, Michael shortly after I posted this last night. Basically he was attempting to coerce me into giving him a 5 star review or take down my review in exchange for a $100 refund, which is of course, borderline illegal, but definitely unethical. I demanded a written agreement, and he was evasive. The conversation went in circles for 20 minutes about how he "cares about the customer, he'll fire the technician on the spot if he didn't do something right, he's got a baby on the way, he doesn't care about the money", etc. The whole sob story trying to impress me/make me feel bad. Long story short, I told him I would only agree to revise or take down my review with no specifics thrown in, but he didn't like that answer. He only wanted me to commit to taking it down or giving him 5 stars with no guarantee from him that I would get money back. Since we both obviously didn't trust each other's word, I said I would send him my email address and if he wanted to make a written offer to give me $100 back in exchange for me MAYBE revising my review for a more favorable one OR taking it down, he was more than willing to do so. I am already out $300, which is my own fault and I told him multiple times I was not angry about it, nor did the tech do anything wrong. I simply felt I was ripped off. BUYER BEWARE: NO WONDER THIS GUY HAS ALL 5 STAR REVIEWS ON YELP AND GOOGLE. MICHAEL BULLIES YOU INTO WRITING HIM A DISHONEST FIVE STAR REVIEW. Because we were in a hurry to take the car to another destination, we requested a lock smith to come to our place and help us out. Sure enough, a locksmith by the name of Michael came to our house at a short notice and helped out. Although the procedure was fairly long and very expensive, Michael was very kind to keep us company by telling humorous stories and showing us how he designs the key. Even after he created the replicated key with no mistake, he gave us a free emergency key head to open the door in case we get locked out.
