Great server. Great food. I had fettuccine alfredo with chicken. It was a little wet, almost a soup at the beginning, but as it cooled it thickened and it was buttery cheesy goodness. I got it with chicken and it was excellently grilled. My wife had a pesto turkey sandwich and the pesto and the ranch they brought were both excellent. Stake fries were crisp and the onion rings were crunchy and delicious. The beer bread was good and there was a regular butter and a strawberry butter for it. I had such a great experience at Hug-Hes! The vibe was super welcoming and the staff made me feel right at home. I ordered the Garlic and Herb Butterfly Shrimp and wow... it was delicious. Perfectly crispy on the outside, tender inside, and the garlic and herb flavor was spot on. You can tell they put a lot of care into their food. It is hands down the best shrimp dish I ever had in Utah. Definitely a place I'll be coming back to -- highly recommend if you're craving something tasty in a relaxed atmosphere. read more

Never disappoints!! Everything is good here and I'm obsessed with their sweet potato fries! Waiting to come in and it be tomato soup day with a good grilled cheese!! Stopped in for lunch today. Great service and good food. Love the complimentary fresh bread and strawberry butter. We ordered the spinach artichoke dip for an appetizer and it was SO GOOD! My entree was the fish & chips and my husband opted for the salmon salad. Fish was very meaty and moist. The batter was crispy on the outside but had slight doughy pockets. Very much eatable but some bites weren't my favorite. It also came with a second side besides fries. I chose pasta salad, it's slightly sweet and has beans. Very different but decent. Everyone at work talks about Hug-Hes so I had to give it a try and I was not disappointed. The service was great and all the employees were super friendly and kept our drinks full. I was a bit worried to see that many teens working together but they were having a good time and working hard, I was very impressed. I went with the buffalo chicken sandwich and my husband had stuffed pasta dish with shrimp. The sauce with the pasta was a bit sweeter than my husband liked but I thought it was good. Ordered the portablla chicken via Door Dash. It came with pasta salad and I opted for veggie which turned out to be fresh steamed broccoli. They also threw in bread and a sugar cookie! The only downside was my food was cold when I got it so I had to microwave it. But I mean it's door dash so what can ya do? Also I do not like Styrofoam packaging... everything was packed in Styrofoam. By the time I ordered it and left a tip it was $40. For chicken. Lol. So not cheap. But darn good. read more

Hug-Hes Cafe has proven to have some of the most incredible customer service you will find at a restaurant. When an order I had received was not done well, the owner not only refunded my meal, but treated me to a new one. It was perfectly made. Every detail of both mine and my daughter's meals were amazing. My burger was juicy and flavorful. The buffalo fries are super good. I recommend dipping them in ranch. Their original fries are delicious, as well. My daughter got the Alfredo with shrimp and she loved it. The sauce was nice and thick, the shrimp was cooked just right. The beer bread that they offer as a free appetizer was divine - soft, sweet and buttery. My only comment that would encourage improvement is the cleanliness of the bathroom stall walls and the floors under the tables. The peanut butter bars are delicious, but a bit stale. Honestly though, hardly worth mentioning when the rest was so well done. This is clearly a well run establishment where the people care about what kind of experience their customers receive. I have been looking for a good steak salad this entire two week roadtrip and today I found it!!! This salad was delicious. Hubby had the beef dip and he loved that as well. My husband and I met with friends for lunch and had a very good time. Our waitress Lindsay was knowledgeable, friendly and attentive. Today I ordered the smoked chicken pasta salad and was pleasantly surprised. For once no olives in sight and I dislike olives so this was a win for me. The amount of chicken was perfect, about six ounces. There were carrots, green peppers and nuts. A light raspberry vinaigrette was used, not too much so it wasn't drowning in oil and I loved that. My husband had the meatloaf lunch and enjoyed it, it came with a fragrant barbecue sauce, mashed potatoes with cheese on top and a white bean soup on the side that looked and smelled great. The bun on the philly was soggy, the Reuben had wayyyy too much thousand island sauce on it and the pastrami was cut really thick so it was pulling out of the sandwich. A week or two ago I ordered my favorite take out from Hug-Hes. There was a miscommunication, and I waited in my car for a long time with no food. I called to see what was taking so long, and Nathan was AWESOME at making things right. He came out to my car and was apologetic but upbeat at the same time. He said they were remaking my food so it would be hot, gave me a peanut butter bar while I waited, and discounted my bill. I tried to still pay him a tip, but he refused to accept it. I really felt more like a guest rather than just a customer, and my loyalty to Hug-Hes increased that much more. Nathan's personality definitely adds to what I already love about the Hug-Hes's organizational culture. This restaurant has been a favorite of mine for years but since I'm strictly doing Keto reviews after a horrible experience at another restaurant recently that I named the worst experience in 2 years I decided I should name a best restaurant and the winner is Hug-Hes--Cafe! They have the most extensive keto menu! Every sandwich can be turned into a lettuce wrap, great salads. Must try's Spinach artichoke dip sub vegetables for bread.
