My boyfriend and I celebrated our two year anniversary here and had the most amazing experience! Everything was delicious and everyone was incredibly friendly and kind. One of a kind experience that we'll be sure to do again

My boyfriend got me a cooking class as a gift here and it was so much fun! The class we signed up for was a four course meal, including Zuppa Toscana, Gnudi Pomodoro, Pollo Milanese, and Nutella Bomboloni. Not only did they teach us how to make these recipes, but also some general kitchen etiquette and techniques, so we really felt like (somewhat) professionals by the end of the class. It was an intimate class, only us and one other couple so we were able to work together to prepare the food rather quickly. The food turned out delicious. They also have a wine, beer and cocktail menu to order from. To go containers were provided as well because it is a lot of food made! I highly recommend a class -- they told us they host birthday parties, as well as competition for other chefs that you could attend and judge too.

Came here for the chef competition and it was hands-down, the coolest experience. It is expensive, but it's 100% worth the money you get so much food and all the food is absolutely delicious. The quality of all the ingredients was top-notch. We came a couple and we were seated with another couple so keep that in mind if you are not into that, but personally, we thought it was great. We became very friendly with the other couple that were students so it was a great time. The competition includes a mystery basket, so in mystery basket there was ground turkey, fish, and other complementary ingredients. The chefs and everyone running the event were super friendly and very fun to talk to and watch cook. The location itself is gorgeous and really well cleaned. It felt really luxurious to have two private chefs fighting to cook for you. Everyone else was really gracious at the end of the cookoff you vote and you reveal who you voted for and everyone was so kind to the chef During the judging. I would 100% come back. This was an amazing experience and I'm so happy we went.

    Our very creative Chefs!

My husband and I went to Hudson Table (Stamford) last night with a handful of other friends, and it was nothing short of AMAZING. It was the 2nd time we did one of these price-fixed menu nights with our friends. You sit right there at the U-shaped counter watching the talented and creative chefs prepare your food. 4 courses with all fresh ingredients that the chefs go out and get at the best local markets/farms. Chef Cristina (and her sous chef, Chris) are truly gifted. They were our chefs last time too and they create the most delicious and beautiful courses with color, texture, and amazing flavors that just melt in your mouth. As the chef serves each course to you, she explains what ingredients went into the dish and how they prepared it. They also work with you if you have a food allergy, and they provide a lovely substitute for any ingredient that you have an allergy to. The wine list is really nice too as are the specialty cocktails that they create. I've attached a pic of our menu (which changes each time you go), and I've attached some pics of our courses---but nothing beats actually biting into these delicate and delicious courses. HT is not just a place to go and have dinner, it's an experience and a special treat! Forget the Michelin-star-rated restaurants and go to HT. You'll leave happy and full. I can't wait to go again!

What an awesome thing to do with a small group! We did the Secrets to Chinese Cooking and the food tasted legit restaurant quality And Chef Pablo and staff were all really helpful throughout the process. Highly recommend for a small group celebrating an occasion! @HudsonTable

Best. date night. ever!! I took my fiancé here as an early Valentine's Day surprise and he told me it's the best date he's ever been on! We both love going out to eat and typically celebrate holidays and anniversaries with a nice dinner. Hudson Table's chef competition exceeded ALLLL of my expectactions. The food was incredible, the chefs and host were wonderful, and the environment/atmosphere was inviting. We started planning our next trip back while we were having dinner. I couldn't recommend Hudson Table more!!!

I've been coming here maybe 2-3 times a season since they opened about 12 years ago, but sometimes even 2-3 times A DAY. This is one of the few cafes I can confidently say is innovative while staying true to their classics. The churros are still going strong many years later, but then they're also coming out with fresh seasonal flavors all the time. Some of the best flavors of coffees I've had are at this place: jasmine matcha, maple black walnut, a proper not-too-sweet autumn spice, pistachio rose cardamom, tres leches, etc. They were doing a horchata cold brew before anyone in the area, and their alfajores cookies remain tasty as ever. I always get the espresso drinks, but their drip is great too. Food is awesome, but I wish there were more savory vegetarian options at every cafe. Still, at least it's not the same boring breakfast burrito here; the sage and manchego egg and cheese on sourdough is pretty solid. The pastries and desserts always look and taste fantastic too. live in MD but visit my parents in Stamford often, and Lorca is the spot I always find myself going to first. Plus, there's plenty of space ever since they expanded years ago, so you can bring a book and people watch the busiest street in Stamford. The service is fast, courteous, and friendly. The past few times I've gone they've been pretty slammed. They were quick but seemed maybe one person down? If they're hiring, please work here! I know their winter drinks are going to be just as good, and the holiday season gets busy. I think I need to get another autumn spice latte before I hit the Amtrak.

The space itself is clean and comfortable. It does lean a bit darker inside, but that seems to be part of the aesthetic they are going for. It gives the place a relaxed coffee shop vibe that works well if you want to sit, unwind, or get some work done. The coffee is solid. It is good, just not the best I have had. Still enjoyable and worth grabbing if you are stopping in. Their snack selection is where they shine a bit more. When the pastries are fresh they are really good. I have tried a few items like the banana loaf and lemon loaf and they have both been tasty and satisfying with a cup of coffee. Overall this is a great place if you are looking for a clean, generally quiet, and relaxing spot to enjoy a coffee and a sweet treat. I would definitely recommend stopping by.

They actually had a publication on the wall praising them for their high quality. Modern Love roasts their own beans. I bought a house blend and another bag of beans. I also had a Black Cold Brew and it was definitely well above average and balanced for a coffee shop cold brew. The shop is nice. Service was reasonably efficient. We arrived about 20 minutes before closing on Sunday during Memorial Day weekend, which seemed to make the one person working somewhat anxious because she presumably wanted to get her weekend going. I obviously get that, but she could have been a touch less obvious about it as her 5 minute warning was a bit intense. In any event, I would definitely return. 4.25 Stars

PROOF... of incompetence, racism or both…read more My wife is a regular customer and usually stops by for an espresso drink as we do not have machine at home. I typically get nothing as their drinks just don't hit the spot for me (average at best). Usually we park on the side of the street going straight into coffee shop and I wait in the car just in case it needs to be moved. She hops out, gets her drinks and the whole thing takes maybe 3-5 min. Today, I was chilling in the car waiting for her, but all over sudden realized that at least 5 people that placed the orders after her and were served before her (espresso drinks and all). Turns out that she ordered double espresso for her and half-caf/half-decaf for me. The staff couldn't execute the drinks or whatnot (they don't do decaf? don't know what double espresso is?) and just kept her waiting while servicing other customers. At some point I guess, they just stopped responding to her inquiries about the drinks. Finally a different person appeared on the shift, my wife got her money back, and we left. Why racist? Hm... Let me think, would the same thing happen to white American male? That is, waiting for 15 minutes for inept staff? The staff was probably new as my wife have not seen them before, but that is no excuse for the lack of basic decency.

I got extremely, violently sick for 2 weeks and shared everything with the restaurant so they could look into it and prevent other patrons from getting ill. The first floor smells like sewage, and had been smelling like that for many months, if not close to a year. The city inspector told me that they notified the restaurant and the restaurant said they fixed the smell -- I went back in and it still smelled like sewage.
