While waiting an hour and a half to get a table at San Pedro I was happy to get seated in Del…read moreEste's covered patio on a rainy night while I waited for my friend. They had 2 of my favorite white wines on the list, great. Until the sweet new server nervously told me they were out of both of them and only had their house Pinot Grigio and Chardonnay available. Out of a lack of choices I ordered a Chardonnay and when I told the server it was so oaky it was undrinkable, she came back to say her manager wouldn't take it off the bill because there was "nothing wrong with it." Ok fine, I see his logic. What I will also say is that mentality as a manager to make a guest pay for something they were unhappy with due to a lack of managing inventory and limited selections, he lost a repeat customer and prompted a negative review. I was a server too for a long time. I know how wine pricing works. It would have cost nothing to help find a drink a guest actually wants. Putting profit over people always results in losing money. It's no wonder there were plenty of tables available there while San Pedro was on a 90 minute wait. I'd say there's a LOT of room for improvement in how it's run. Treat your guests and servers with respect and be generous with your offerings and problem solving. It always comes back ten fold. There's too many good places to eat in Hudson to come back here.

When we arrived we were seated quickly at a nice table in a themed Italian space. We had the Calamari, an the Escargot. And finished with a piece of their homemade Tiramisu. All were very tasty: Calamari was a crispy, well flavored rings (darn I like the little squid) with a good sauce. The Escargot were plump and the garlic butter they came with was delicious, used the bread (very nice Baguette) to sop it up an hold an Escargot! A finished with the Tiramisu which was everything a good homemade desert should be ! The only suggestion would be to up the presentation on the plate of both of the dish's; the calamari and the escargot But had nothing to do with taste, which was excellent.

We got a lovely long booth in the corner which was cozy and a little quieter. We grabbed some beverages and an appetizer of chips and the 3 dips. I also caught the tail end of a great college basketball game too. Annie was our server who was great.
