1 Mexican omelet. Sourdough toast. Extra crispy hashbrowns. Homemade jam. 1 make your own omelet. Pick 3 items. I picked smoked sausage, bacon, & mushrooms. Raisin toast. Crispy browns. 2 coffees. The raisin toast is the bomb!!! You can just smell the raisins and cinnamon! Nice amount of cinnamon. Real potatoes, not frozen. ALL the bread and doughnuts are homemade. We came here 2 weeks in a row. Very friendly! This is our new go to! Love everything about it!

Southwest Hash with a siracha smiley face. The jam was a raspberry peach. Yum!

Not only is this town off the beaten path, so is "Main Street" which you very well could miss it if you didn't know it was there. So I'm not usually writing a review on my first visit but this place needs to be celebrated. Don't get me wrong, there is nothing bold or exciting about it, it is just good people making and serving a good solid breakfast. And since breakfast is my favorite meal of the day (happy hour is a close second), I had to write about it. This restaurant is one of those places that when you first walk in, it feels good. It feel like an old sweater. It was busy but we were given a nice hello and were able to sit right away at the counter. As you looked around you could tell that some of the utensils had been switched out to reflect the holiday season. This was quintessential mom's greasy spoon but without all the grease. As we sat at the counter, we could kinda see back into the kitchen. I had ordered the Southwest Hash with home made chorizo. My potatoes? They were getting hand-diced. That's some love right there. When is the last time you had hand-diced potatoes? I've had them with a can crusher style machine for fries but never hand-diced. By the time the food had been cooked (one cook, doing up all the breakfasts so you may as well relax and enjoy yourself) I was ready to feast and I was not disappointed. The sunny side-up eggs were perfect to allow the yolk to ooze through the potatoes. The home made chorizo had a nice spice but wouldn't knock someone down. But seriously, before I started eating it, the look and the smell of the dish made me so happy I decided to give it a siracha smiley face. But that jam. That jam was the JAM. I mean, you knew it was homemade but I had to ask about it anyway which made our server smile. She said it varies and depends on what she the owner feels like making. That day they were serving up a jam made from raspberry and peaches. It was so good I finished mine AND my lady friends. The place also offers take out. You need a cup of Joe to go? They have cups for that. It also looks like they make their own donuts and what not. There was also a thick banana cream pie sitting on the shelf which looked amazing! Unfortunately/fortunately(your pick) I was full from breakfast so dessert may have to happen next time. It also looks like they do a fish fry or something on Fridays as that is the only time they do dinner. This place otherwise is breakfast or lunch only. The place is cash or check only and I definitely will be back.

My favorite fish fry! Light and crispy, hint of malt flavor, good coleslaw and potatoes.

I ended up getting one of their specials, the eggs Benedict, and I did clarify while ordering that I would like a soft poached egg because I'm very disappointed when it comes out with no runny yolk. Sure enough, 30 minutes later, which seemed a little bit long for a diner, our food came out and my eggs were harder than a hard boiled egg. I asked them redo the eggs only so that I could start eating my hashbrowns in the enormous slab of ham, and she said it was going to take a while. (If it takes anyone a while to poach an egg, they're probably doing it wrong.) I was able to scoop my butchered eggs off, start eating my food, and sure enough within a few minutes I had properly soft poached eggs as a replacement. I hate to be that girl, but I made it very clear on the front end that the only kind of egg that I would expect for Benedict. They gave us our tickets to pay at their register upon exiting, and I do admit that I like the charm of an old-school actual written paper ticket and very affordable breakfast. I would come back here anytime, just maybe stick to their normal menu.

I walked in and saw you could either order on a large touch screen on with a person at the front. I don't mind touch screens, so I went to start my order. The problem is that there are no pictures... so you're not 100% sure what you are ordering. I stopped the order and walked over to the case to order with the employee instead. There was one woman in front of me and she got her items quickly. I ordered 5 items. (See pic below) All of them were fantastic! I really do judge a place by how well they can do a croissant, and this place does them very well!! The employees were very polite but for some reason my order took almost 15 mins to fill... I watched them pull the items from the case, so I'm not sure why it took them so long to do the order. There was only one other person who ordered after me and she had a drink and a box of pastries too... she received her items first. As for the space, it is bland and feels like an old Carribou coffee.... There really wasn't anything that felt "Paris or French" here. Very bland and not very cozy. If you plan on going(the food was very good) order it to go...

Note that you have to order here before being seated. Not too bad but does put the pressure on to order quickly so you can be seated before others. I went with the turkey melt and upgraded to fries and my partner got a turkey club with a fries upgrade. Together, this meal totaled just over $40 (no extra drink, we got waters). I feel bad giving a low score because of this but I do have to mention that the prices feel much higher than the quality of the food. Yes, we added fries instead of chips which might be the cause for the higher prices, but you can get two well made burgers for less than this so it doesn't feel justified. Additionally, the food was good but not great. My tuna melt lacked a bit of flavoring and only tasted of mayo. Normally this would be fine for me but not when I paid above average for my food. This really is a nice restaurant and in an area that doesn't have too many of those. Our waitress was very attentive (almost too attentive) and the service was good but I don't think I'd choose to visit again.
