This is a cute little cafe on Main Street. Booths and tables set up throughout the restaurant, with a theme of flowers. We ordered sandwiches from our friendly server Makenna. I got a sandwich with a grilled chicken breast, bacon, and squashed cheese curds. They were happy to accommodate my requests of sourdough bread instead of a bun and the ranch on the side. It came with some delicious homemade potato chips and a few pickle slices. It was yummy. My husband got their version of a Reuben which was also delicious. He ordered tator tots instead of fries, for a small upcharge for a mountain of crunchy tots. A manager person stopped by to check on our meals as well. While we waited for our food to arrive, they had games at the table and a shelf in the back, so that was an enjoyable use of our time.

Whiskey burger was cooked perfectly and a solid choice. Trout bisque was everything it should be. I was glad I had a lemon wedge for my water. It is SUPER rich and you can't be afraid of salt. The mushroom and sausage flatbread was loaded and distinctly mushroomy. Drinks of course were the stars. The coffee martini with chai was velvety smooth. The Easy Street was refreshing and went down easy. It had just the right amount of sweet. The old fashioned game here sets the bar high. The Oahu gets a Minnesota "that's interesting." One was enough. I saw some burgers go by to another table and that made me order one. Had the whiskey burger and it was amazing with the fries. I wish i lived closer. I would go here often. I understand they have drink mixing glasses and other fun things to do. This place is worth stopping for.

The place was busy but thankfully not chaotic busy…read more When I entered the host sign was turned to "Please Wait To Be Seated" but nobody was there so I started to mosey to see where I thought the musician would play? I entered the dining room off to the north and asked a staff where he would play? She pointed to the area by the host stand. As I began to make my way to the stand to wait to be seated I saw two women vacating a table so I asked them if they were leaving and if I could have their table? I was only there a short few minutes before the bartender came out to ask if I needed a drink or a menu? Also stated she would clean the table. I told her "I saw the wait to be seated sign but nobody was there". She said they do that so the servers don't get overwhelmed. There were a few cocktails that sounded absolutely delicious, but they'll have to wait for another day when I have room in my belly. I opted for the kids grilled chicken tenders, it was like a pounded out chicken breast cut in to strips, perfect enough for me. I like the decor...look up, some of the light fixtures are wagon wheels w lanterns hung from them. The area above the "gambling" corner has a car bumper and old Radio Flyer just below the ceiling, fun. There is a sign on the wall there that reads: Drinks 2-for-1 while gambling. If that's your jam! The acoustics were great for the musician! Parking Parking was easy w all four sides of Main Street offered free parking and the east/west running streets also offered free parking. Nutty Squirrel has a sign on the wall near the host stand that lists their daily Specials. My server was "sous-chef trying to earn some extra cash, Anthony". Let me tell you, as I asked a fellow who was bopping around all night "are you the manager? Sous-Chef Anthony wasn't good... he was freaking fabulous! I asked him for a sauce lid a bit ago and said don't you dare come back here in two minutes with a lid... I'm here all night!" Anthony replied "I'm not doing anything else at the moment." When he had brought out my food I asked "could you bring out silverware when you get a moment?" Anthony replied "I can do it now, I got you." He was so friendly and attentive, very much appreciated. Thanks Nutty Squirrel for a simply delightful evening! Delicious food ordered from and brought out by a friendly fellow in a comfortable and well lit environment for a reasonable price. Looking forward to my next visit when I can imbibe in a cocktail or maybe have the Burger of the Month! Cheers!

They serve a London Fog with lavender and vanilla called the Wizard's Fog, so that was an easy choice for me. I ordered it in a mug along with a Lemon Blueberry Scone. My wife chose the drip coffee and a Peach Scone. The Wizard's Fog was good. It would have been even better if the tea had been allowed to steep a little longer. It was also served a bit cooler than I prefer. I usually enjoy my hot drinks at around 130°F or warmer. The Lemon Blueberry Scone was fresh and delicious. My wife really enjoyed her coffee. She thought the Peach Scone was good as well, although she would have liked a little more peach. Service: The service was exceptionally friendly. They treated everyone like old friends, and maybe they are in this close-knit community. There was lots of cheerful conversation between the staff and customers, and everyone seemed to be genuinely enjoying themselves. Atmosphere: This is a unique and eclectic coffee shop with a fun, artistic vibe. There isn't a lot of indoor seating, and we noticed several larger tables occupied by just one person. A few smaller two-person tables that could be pushed together for larger groups might make the space a little more flexible. Despite its size, the noise level was comfortable, making it easy to enjoy a conversation. I'm glad we stopped. Next time, I'll probably ask them to let my tea steep a little longer and make it extra hot.
