    Crepe and eggs combo
    Tracey F.

Found a new place for breakfast in Hudson. The space is light and airy with plenty of seating. One thing I immediately loved here was the brisket sausage. I really appreciate restaurants that put something besides pork products on its menu for breakfast and this was delicious. It reminded me of venison sausage. I got the crepe and eggs combo. Loved the crepes, just wish they offered different toppings (I loved the fruit, but having other options for people might be a nice touch). Glad to have another breakfast options in the area!

Overall experience: just OK The atmosphere is nice but there was only 2 guys working so service was a bit slow. I was a bit disappointed in the food as well... The avocado toast was overpriced and did not have fresh avocado. It was $12.95 for one piece of toast! For that price, there should for sure be 2 pieces. And I had GF bread which was an extra $1 up charge for such a small portion which did not feel fair. The hashbrowns were soggy. The eggs were under-cooked. One of our water glasses was dirty. Lots of little things added up to make it not the best experience for the price. While not terrible, I probably will not come back :/

Arrived promptly upon opening at 7 AM for breakfast. Casual/relaxed dining area with comfortable seating. Prompt service, had my coffee and water in a moments notice. Waiter recommended the breakfast special - home fries, avocado, cheese, pico and chorizo over a fried corn tortilla, topped with eggs of choice. Salsa on the side. Food was made to order, reasonably quick! My dish was excellent. I thanked the waiter for the recommendation. More breakfast dishes I'd like to try... I'll be back.

I was plesantly surprised by the food at Agave Kitchen in downtown Hudson!…read more I visited on a Thursday for lunch and the restaurant was pretty empty. There was a group of 4 of us so we were able to sit wherever we'd like to. Our server was very friendly, prompt, and helpful with our menu questions. We ordered a smattering of items but the most notable; table fries, cowboy corn bites, and the legendary nachos. All other items we ordered (chicken and shrimp tacos and a burger) were all good, just not as notable as the others. Regarding portions, they are HUGE! We should have shared entrees but took home leftovers instead. Overall, I'd recommend trying Agave Kitchen and I look forward to visiting again to try more menu items!

If not fish or shrimp it's shredded meats unless you order an up-charge item. The chips taste really fresh and crunchy with a non-grease taste. A little salt and they were perfect. The queso and salsa are all really good alone, but we mixed ours and it was even better. The shrimp tacos had a little too much of the bacon because it really over powered the shrimp. Once I pulled off some bacon the tacos had a really good flavor and kick. The fish tacos have a fried fillet that tasted really good but needed a little salt. The filling and sauces on the fish tacos were really tasty. I would buy bottles of that green guacamole sauce. Our favorite item of the meal was the chorizo egg rolls. These have a really nice crunchy exterior and a cheesy spicy interior. The chorizo mixed with the cheesy center was so good. I doubt you'll be disappointed if you order these and share them with the table. The service would be my only area of suggested improvement of this establishment. The sign up front says "Please wait to be seated" but then once bartender saw us she told us to "just find a seat and someone will bring menus shortly". Nobody came to our table for 5-6 minutes. The rest of the service wasn't much better. Lot of waiting for help or acknowledgment. Once we were done eating we had to search out our waitress to get our check. We would return to try other items, but maybe be more demanding of service.

My friends and I visited here for a part of my birthday celebration as we have talked about this…read moreplace before so I wanted to at least give it a shot. Overall the food was okay, and I intentionally avoided most dishes under the fuertes section not only because they were pricey but also because I wanted to see how much care they put into dishes that customers probably relatively order less, so I ordered quite a few dishes under the para la mesa section. In terms of highlight, the best dish in my opinion was actually the pistachio tres leches. The milk was definitely there, and there was a good amount of pistachio flavor immersed into the cake. I thought that texturally it worked very well, too, because the softness of the cake provided a good contrast with the pistachio bits on the top. The esquites were great as well, with the tajin crema providing both a sense of creaminess and just a tiny bit of spice, and the manchego cheese giving flavor. The baja fish tacos contained a good amount of white fish and the chipotle crema added flavor. Personally I liked the fact that the brisket tacos had a good amount of smoked brisket meat, but my friend who ordered the dish didn't enjoy it because she didn't think the salsa was flavorful enough, which I could understand but disagreed with. Other dishes were leaning towards okay to meh, such as the papas machas, which had fried yukon potatoes containing very good crispy texture but way too salty flavor, especially if the potatoes were tiny and had a lot of oil at the bottom. The brussel sprouts did not have enough lime vinaigrette so it was practically flavorless, especially since it was probably deep fried without additional seasoning, which also caused some pieces to be hard to chew. The grilled snapper itself was almost flavorless, and relied on the salsa for flavor completely. I didn't understand it because it looked like it was grilled in achiote, so I assumed it followed the tikin xic dish in Yucatán Mexico, with pickled red onions and all. Maybe the achiote paste didn't have enough spices in it for marinading, or maybe the time wasn't enough. Even though as of now I wouldn't actively recommend this establishment to others yet, I would still like to visit myself to try some dishes that my other friends have hyped up, namely the enchiladas de camote and verdes.

Luckily we got there in time and I got a Chilango margarita and some nachos. The margarita was DELICIOUS, not too sour but flavorful. The nachos were pretty good: the toppings were well distributed and lots of flavor but I didn't love the combo of beans and sour cream, but I guess both are authentic to Mexico. We sat in the patio and enjoyed the beautiful lake view as we caught up, which was great, and I plan to come back! Pro tip: they validate parking! Turn on Thomas and pull into the beach club underground parking and bring your parking ticket to the restaurant for validation.

It…read moreis not curated to be authentic street food - it's meant for large portions, a beachy drink, a classic bar feel, and a fun time. Stopped in here after walking around Stillwater on a sunny Sunday. After having a beer on the water and a long walk, I decided it was time for some tacos. This place was absolutely packed, but as a solo traveler I was seated fairly quickly at a small table inside. Fun colorful and tropical decor. I ordered the Shrimp Tacos and a Margarita. The mason jar marg was salty and refreshing and the tacos were HUGE. The rice was cooked perfectly, the shrimp were large and had a nice pop, and overall the flavors were balanced! A little acid here, a little something savory there, a tangy sauce! I slammed two of the tacos and brought the third one home for my partner to try. Fun filling stop on a beautiful day!

Sorry, this was a big no for me…read more Overpriced, slow service (but they were busy but still 25 minutes for tacos is a long time to wait) and while portions look big, there was hardly any meat. Rice was crunchy and hard?! Oh and they charged for chips and salsa. Bill came to over 60 for 2 of us. For SIX TACOS and chips. A note: it's is ridiculously loud in there. The noise is not the restaurant chatter but a super big business of margarita mixing going on in the bar. Bottom line: Skip and go to chipotle and save your $$ for an above ground pool. :)
