Working in the restaurant business is quite stressful. Long hours, demanding customers, ordering replenishment food orders from vendor's, paying those invoices/the rental property on top of working LONG hours. I have respect for the industry. Haven't owned my own business but I can combine that stress with working in the industry previously and raising children, paying a mortgage, car payments as such. This is life. With that being said we as customers are NOT being "heard" at this location in Stillwater Minnesota. The pizza is excellent as ALWAYS provided you don't order a change because the owner becomes indigent in your request - ALWAYS. The salad could be upgraded from "shredded" to ACTUAL lettuce. Those things can be overlooked or "just not ordered" in my case. I don't want to be "yelled" at for ordering something "inordinate" so I....just stopped ordering the salad. My issue is the Extreme Poor Customer Service I have received in just a mere 3.5 years of ordering because Pizza Man in my prior neighborhood in N.E. Minneapolis provided (and STILL provides) just the same excellent pizza - with a Good Attitude. Whereas this fellow Eric Patella in Stillwater MN decided he is so busy, that well: Let's outline some history here: 1. You cannot order pizza's during the day for delivery. He will "pertinently advise you of such and promptly hang up on you". 2. You cannot order pizza's in the evening until delivery is "available and then only until 8:30 p.m. at the latest before they close. (this evening now advised by new representative "Ryan" that "9" is acceptable" and delivered before 9 p.m. 3. Owner is disgruntled if you ask for additional items or adjustments: I like pineapple on my fully loaded pizza. I was informed at one point "it was not possible" because the pizza was already put in the oven 2 minutes ago and the pineapple would cause "moisture and the pizza would not cook properly". 4. When you call you'd better to be perfectly precise in your order. Don't extend your convo i.e. ask for sauce or extra ingredients. This just irritates the owner and I found sauce is not available at all. Extra ingredients of course are at an extra expense - mutually understood I guess; but no dipping sauce for the pizza? Seriously??? 5. When I placed my order this evening my checking debit card was blocked. This wasn't a matter of a financial issue. It was my bank who holds ALL my accounts blocking my purchase as this can happen sometimes as they monitor and believe there might be a misstep somehow. I called the bank after this event and that was exactly what it was; I simply needed to "unlock" and verify my recent card purchases with my bank. 6. But during the course of placing my order when this happened at purchase denial Ryan took the number and put it through a second time. But b/c I had yet to call my bank I asked Ryan to accept a back up card wherein owner "Eric snapped the phone away from Ryan and said "your credit card order did not go through. We can no longer accept your order". I quickly explained I have no financial issues; it must be something w/a prior purchase I made on my checking card that was denied do to a security checkup which DOES happen. I assured Eric I had a backup card with LOTS of credit with my bank; he just took a breath and took the info. and voila! Payment made. Without accepting this instance or apologizing for his rudeness he just "HUNG UP". I was still trying to complete my order.... 7. I called back to ask for dipping sauce for the Pizza. Ryan informed me it is not an option with their store. I stated "well; considering how rudely I was treated I would think a cup would be in order" Ryan stated he'd talk to "the owner" who he is well aware of seriously... 5. Upon Delivery: And now new Rep Ryan exudes this posh attitude. When he delivered my pizza I tried to kindly recommend better customer service meaning: better customer 'talk". He said he had to go; that I by verse of convo was taking "away" from his business/other customers". I affirmed I d/n need his attention; was simply drawing attention to the fact that poor treatment of your customers s/b avoided. "he had to go". Much like the owner they are NOT interested in hearing your reviews, concerns about orders or much the like. AGAIN: I know they are busy. 6. The "box my pizza was delivered in" is NOT a pizza man box today. That gives me PAUSE; why NOT? Is this NOT a pizza man association anymore even though they still claim so on their website? Is this legal??? 7. Finally : YOU "Stillwater Pizza Man": you still need to offer proper grace and consideration to your customers. You should NEVER be So RUDE to your customers and TOO busy to address their concerns and requests. I personally won't be ordering again. Hope this point was taken but due to allllllll the previous attitude provided I am guessing NOT/NADA/NEVER/NOOOOOO.....not to be continued after 3.5 years. read more

Consistently good pizza and pretty good ribs. The tacos aren't bad either. No, this isn't the best pizza in the Twin Cities, but it's pretty fast, the sauce is good, plenty of cheese (without going overboard) and the crust is always well done. No, the staff isn't always the friendliest but that's OK. I'm just here for a reliable pizza and they always deliver on that! read more

Called to place an order and was told "we don't deliver to those buildings" "You're gonna have to try another place" Then HANGS UP before I can ask. I call back. I ask why, they tell me we just don't deliver to "those apartments anymore" I ask Why? To which he responds "I'm not going to tell you why" and I say "alright I've never ordered from you but okay". What was that interaction??? Literally who was so rude that they literally won't deliver to us. If that's anything to judge this place by this phone call said all I needed to know. We love the pizza and salad, but the owner seems to be a bit off. We complained about onions on our salad order (twice) and he seems to have taken it personally. Customer service is horrible. Everytime o go there for lunch the owner acts like the customers are a burden. Be lucky you're getting customers. The office got a large pizza delivered from here Friday. This was my first Pizza Man experience. I was very happy with it. We went with the house special pizza minus the canadian bacon and it was really good. It had lots of veggies and sausage and pepperoni on it. What I enjoyed most was the texture of the crust. It was really crisp yet not a cracker....They really make a great crust here....It was a round pizza cut into squares and plenty of toppings. 25.00 for the pizza and tip very filling pizza. read more

I'd love to say I had the chance to try them.. but their horrible customer service prevented that. I'm new to the area and after googling delivery pizza they popped up. I called, eager to try a new pizza place and was told that they deliver to me. I was placed on hold and then told they'd deliver to me, placed my order, then was rudely interrupted mid-order by an asinine excuse for a manager who told me I was not in their area, despite being less than 10 minutes and 5 miles from them. Best pizza in Washington County. The owner makes the sauce and dough from scratch with a secret recipe. He also only buys the highest quality ingredients. I watched them shred out a block of fresh mozzarella cheese instead of using the pre-shredded generic cheese. I just ordered a black olives and pepperoni pizza and a taco pizza. I was recently in need of a Pizza and was at a friends place near this store. I placed an order for a house special. I had a $50 and asked if that would be an issue. The order taker said drivers do not give change for a $50 or larger bill. Bummer, but I understand. I gave my CC # and placed the order. He told me it was going to be 45 minutes to an hour. Sure, that is ok. I am old enough to remember when Pizza delivery was not as common as it is now. It was not uncommon to wait 2-3 hours for a pizza on a Friday/Saturday night. I delivered pizzas in those days, I got yelled at many times for such poor delivery service. I could only apologize and remind the customer that they were informed when placing the order that the wait for delivery could be long. On a few occasions, a customer expected it to be free. Nope. Not free. No discount either. If you do not want it, I'll take it back. And take it home myself for me and my roommates at half price. We all know half price pizza can be twice as good.. This order was delivered in the 45 minutes I was told. Signed my slip, gave the driver a tip. I like that there is not a delivery charge. Other places are charging $2.50 or so for delivery. I have been told drivers might get $1.00 of that delivery charge. Not fair in my opinion. But I do not make the rules. So I patronize those places that are interested in treating their drivers more fairly. They have slices at lunch time from a Super Large Pizza (18 inch). $2.00 including tax. Toppings are limited, but I am sure you can find one you will enjoy. If you are in this area and need a Pizza fix, give this place a try. You will not be disappointed read more

I usually love Pizza Man Stillwater but the last two times I was disappointed. you could see the toppings under the cheese they hardly put any cheese on the pizza. the crust had a hole in the bottom made it soggy. As I travel often it is excellent to order from a place that delivers on what it commits to. Pizza Man has excellent pizza, and is delivered on-time with fast and friendly service.
