Tortellini with Alfredo and red sauce dipping sauces.

We stopped in here for the first time and we were not disappointed. It was happy hour and we enjoyed the wine and whiskey for the great price of $5/ea. Our friendly, efficient, delightful bartender, Anders, made our visit especially enjoyable. He made a few menu suggestions and we shared three items from the HH menu which were the meatballs (sooo delicious), the fried tortellini (tasty but nothing special), and the pizza (very good). A lovely space on Main Street with a welcoming atmosphere and great service. Highly recommend!

    Shrimp Scampi nice and buttery!

Very quiet and very nice atmosphere when we visited. Our waitress, Sarah, was very nice and gave good advice. Shared a mini charcuterie, which was on the happy hour menu, and Shrimp Scampi. Enjoyed both.

I'm happy a pasta place opened in Stillwater. It's a great addition to the downtown variety. This place is nice, and the food is good. I especially think it's a good value. Pasta dishes are in the teens for prices. The gnocchi was swimming in the sauce which was less than desirable. I've never seen fried tortellini on a menu so we had to try it. Props for creativity!

Beautiful place to stop in for a Monday night dinner (by the way it's Meatball Monday). We ate family style and had the Gio chop salad with lots of olives and parm. Next up was Gio pizza - a tasty combination of short ribs, Swiss cheese, mushrooms, and onions with a crust that is just the right thickness. Maybe it could use a drizzle of something... horseradish aioli? Server Lauren was the best - quick with drinks and super friendly and even brought me some drizzle options for testing. We all really liked the Italian sausage rigatoni and focaccia. Everything was delicious and well-portioned. Nothing overly fancy, but neat exposed brick, long bar and excellent location right on the main drag in town. Oh, and dessert was perfect. Not too sweet, nice lemony flavor and a shareable slice.

Food, drinks, and service were low level quality. Sad, was hoping it would be good. Needs improvement.

Didn't enjoy the ambiance. Food was mediocre. Service was spotty. We were the only customers in the place.

They also have a couple specials that change every week so you can always try something new. Today we lucked out with delicious crab cakes! We also ordered the focaccia, ziti, risotto, chicken parm rigatoni and olive oil ice cream. Needless to say, we were very full when we left and had plenty of leftovers! It's a small space so definitely try to make a reservation to ensure a seat. I get the impression it's busy most nights!

Definitely a bit more rushed feeling with the 90 minute deadline as per usual (still completely get this but wish it could be a bit more flexible for a larger group), but still adored everything we ate and that's why olio still gets top marks. Things to get: -Focaccia- I always love the focaccia and think it plus the red sauce are worth ordering. -Burnt carrots- The burnt carrots were an unexpected surprise that I would definitely recommend. Fun flavors -Pretty much any pasta: casarecce, paccheri, spaghetti Nero. All so unique and delicious in their own ways. Up to you: -Brussels sprouts-still good, just preferred the carrots -Desserts: I preferred the ice cream to the cake. The cake was a bit too dense for my liking but others in my party liked it.

When we arrived we were seated quickly at a nice table in a themed Italian space. We had the Calamari, an the Escargot. And finished with a piece of their homemade Tiramisu. All were very tasty: Calamari was a crispy, well flavored rings (darn I like the little squid) with a good sauce. The Escargot were plump and the garlic butter they came with was delicious, used the bread (very nice Baguette) to sop it up an hold an Escargot! A finished with the Tiramisu which was everything a good homemade desert should be ! The only suggestion would be to up the presentation on the plate of both of the dish's; the calamari and the escargot But had nothing to do with taste, which was excellent.

The waiter and bus staff were great at getting our requests and being prompt with everything. The food was great & good. All of the food was served fresh and hot as it should be. They have a great house Chianti that is reasonably priced by the bottle. The filet special was out of this world awesome. Cooked perfectly medium rare, the cut was top shelf and flavor was incredible. The whole dish was excellent with the mushroom red wine reduction on top providing that blast of flavors that complemented a filet. I may get this every time if they continue to have it on the menu. The fettuccine alfredo was good. The pasta was home-made and cooked perfectly. The sauce was a bit bland and was missing something. Maybe some more parmesan, maybe just salt, not sure but while it was good, it lacked the big creamy flavor that alfredo should have. Chicken was very good, grilled and tender. So this one was "Good" The seafood special was another "Good" one. The shirimp was done perfectly but the rest of the seafood was maybe just a touch overcooked. The sauce was a cream sauce but like the alfredo it lacked just a bit of flavor that would have made it a superb meal. Many guests will love that we have a very good Italian place again in North Hudson as it's part of the heritage of the community. We will go back for sure!! CM

Before going into detail about the menu and service, I want to emphasize that I was disappointed by the restaurant's ambiance. I expected a more French setting, to do justice to its name, Manger. The walls were bare, the seats uncomfortable, and the chairs looked like church pews. I expected more French decor--at the very least, chairs in that style. Even a little French music, which is so lovely and romantic. The croquettes were delicious. I ordered the French fries and was disappointed--they were mushy and tasteless. The aioli was a nice touch, but the ketchup sauce was completely out of place. What I thought was very well prepared was the Trout Veronique. The flavor of the sauce and the clams was absolutely fantastic. As a connoisseur, I have to commend the selection of excellent French wines. It really bothers me when I go to restaurants that claim to be Italian or French but only have California wines. I have nothing against California, but as connoisseurs, we know there are many more options around the globe. I was amazed by the variety of spirits and the house-made cocktails at this place. The Old Fashioned, prepared by Erin, was absolutely delicious. Whenever I go to a restaurant that serves Crème Brûlée, I try it. I have my own Swiss recipe, and I've been disappointed before. That wasn't the case here. The dessert was prepared with the utmost delicacy and had a perfectly smooth texture. The caramel was executed with the precision of a great chef. The service is very professional, and you feel welcomed by their sincere hospitality. Erin is a true professional. See you next time.
