Located on the corner of Division st and Pecan st, you're find plenty of parking available. The dining room space is full of booths and tables. We were greeted and seated immediately. Our server was friendly and efficient. When I visited the website, I found a link to complete an email for a free order of Mardi Gras beignets with a purchase of two entrées. The beignets were huge and absolutely delicious!! My friend and I ordered stuffed French toast with banana foster topping and the California Benedict. The kitchen was kind enough to split it for us. Came here in a Mother's Day and we knew it would be busy. So we were prepared to wait. Fortunately, we got there early enough it was only a 30 minute wait. The place was packed. Hy we were greeted by a very nice king lady that was our server. The service was a little slow but to be consider on a holiday. We ordered the beignets as an appetizer and they were just ok. Honestly, nothing like a NOLA beignet. They're airy and light and this was just a donut ball. Barely any powdered sugar on top. I had the creole catfish. It was ok but waited forever when I asked for tartar sauce and was told they don't even carry it. Finally someone found it. Not very crispy more soggy. One of people at our table ordered the breakfast burrito with no cheese and it was covered in cheese. So he had to wait almost 20 mins for a replacement. Overall, just ok. read more

Tried Huckleberry's for the first time today. Overall, kind of disappointed with the food. It wasn't bad, but it definitely didn't live up to the hype for us. Most of the dishes were pretty bland and just lacked flavor. The restaurant was busy, clean, organized, and the service was fast. Food came out surprisingly quick. The highlight was honestly the staff -- the host was great, and our waitress Kayleigh was outstanding. Easily one of the nicest and most genuine waitresses we've had anywhere in DFW. She made the visit much better. For us, though, the food just didn't stand out enough to come back. Right now, Skillet N' Grill still holds the crown for breakfast. read more

My family originally tried to eat here on Mother's Day, but there was a two hour wait. My daughter and I finally went on a Friday afternoon. The Louisiana decor was very inviting being from New Orleans. Our server, Evelyn was super sweet very honest with menu suggestions. Unfortunately, the food options were not exactly what I expected for a Louisiana-themed restaurant. So much so, I ended up getting pancake, eggs and bacon. My daughter got the catfish and jambalaya. It came with a Belgium waffle smoother in ACTUAL HUCKLEBERRY PRESERVES. When I walked in I immediately loved the cozy vibe. It definitely feels like a great spot for a family brunch. The atmosphere set the tone, and I was genuinely excited to try the food. I really wanted to love this place... but I left contemplating whether I'll be back. We started with the Mardi Gras Beignets. They were a little too doughy for me and lacked powdered sugar. I also wasn't a fan of the huckleberry, strawberry, and peach toppings as they were a bit overbearing. I think I was expecting more of a true New Orleans-style beignet, so maybe I set my expectations too high. I ordered the Mississippi Skillet (ham, bacon, sausage, bell peppers, onions, mushrooms topped with Monterey Jack cheese). It wasn't bad, but I've definitely had better. The skillet had potential, but it lacked flavor. The Huckleberry biscuit on the side was dry, which was disappointing. My friend ordered the medium-well 1/2 lb Ribeye Steak platter because the waitress mentioned it was a favorite. They requested scrambled hard eggs, potatoes in a separate bowl, and pancakes. Unfortunately, the ribeye was extremely thin, dry, and had absolutely no flavor. The eggs came out scrambled soft, and the potatoes were not separated as requested. I'll preface by saying that I will return to give it another try, based on the way the business handled my concern during my visit. I will update my rating after my second visit. November 2025 1:20/30ish (they close at 2:30) Wednesday Parking : there is a parking lot for the business, and I saw street parking. If I'm not mistaken, Babes restaurant may share the same parking lot, so I could see this place being packed on the weekends during brunch. Pricing : average/high end. The breakfast platter was $17ish. A drink $4ish. Staff: the hostess greeted me and guided me to my booth, explained the menu, and let me know my server would be over shortly. My server was nice / bubbly. I had no concerns with staff during my visit. Cleanliness : they were cleaning up in preparation to close when I arrived, but I did not note any concerns with cleanliness. What I ordered : I kept it simple because I did hear that for a Cajun-inspired restaurant, they lacked the flavor. I ordered the Spiced Pumpkin Pie Pancake Platter (under "what's new"-- this item may be seasonal). It comes with eggs, which I ordered scrambled, hash browns (you have the choice between those or country reds. I asked which would be the most flavorful and she suggested the hash browns) and the andouille sausage (you have the choice of ham, bacon, or sausage). I'll start positively. The pancakes were SO good! I would definitely have that again. Unfortunately, I did not get to eat it all. My waitress did notice the pancakes were a little dry and offered to get me syrup. I would say ask for some extra salted caramel on the side as needed. 4.5/5 for the pancakes. The andouille sausage was good!! 4/5. Would reorder. The eggs were just eggs... even with the salt and pepper I added? I wouldn't have to have them again- very bland. 2/5 The hash browns were season-less as well. 2/5. I would not have to have those again. (She did ask me if I wanted to add peppers and onions, I believe, to the hash browns, but that would've been an up charge of 75 cents, and I personally do not believe the rating would have budged much, and I don't usually spruce up my hash browns in that way. The reason why I didn't get to eat my favorite thing on the plate : I cut into my pancake and found a hair. I pushed the plate aside and when she came back around and asked me if I needed a box, I politely let her know that I found a hair in my food, and she could just bring me the check. She came back and let me know that the bill was taken care of for the inconvenience, but I still wanted to tip her, so I asked her to ring me up a drink, and I added gratuity to that. I would say that based on other reviews, and the experience I've had so far, I project that this is a place where you'd have to bring your own Cajun seasoning for the food if you want the flavor, but I'll know for sure next visit. Personally, if that is the verdict, I won't be patronizing for a 3rd visit. It's truly a bummer because their menu has so much potential, and when you SEE the dish, you'd expect the flavor. Hopefully, next year when I return they implement the feedback. I would like for this to become a staple for me. read more

I went here during the week of their soft opening & just recently. Both times the service was awesome, the staff really runs the place well. Maintaining a fun atmosphere in a fast paced environment, speedy yet still delivering great dishes! It can get busy but they worked through the wait quickly, food comes out fast but is still made to order. Chico (I hope I got his name right), was our waiter one of the times... he's knows how to work his tables & keep them smiling. No complaints on the food, the first my friend had a sandwich & I had the Mississippi skillet. Huge portions, the skillet I ate some but also took a home a full box! The huckleberry muffins are a win! Second time around, omelets & a monte cristo. I have missed monte cristos so much, there's a few places here that serve them but this will be my go to place. Clean restaurant, prices are more than fair, excellent experience each time. Parking is a bit of a hassle but that's downtown Arlington for you. We'll be back! read more

So apparently this is the spot everyone in Arlington Foodies has been raving about. I walked in ready for a food epiphany... walked out like, "eh." Service? A+. Food? B- with extra credit needed. Ok, sure we'll try this. Started with Fried Green Tomatoes suggested by our waiter. There were 5 on the plate - so hard to divide for a table of 2,3, or 4. But we managed. Took my mom for a excellent brunch started with beignets that were covered in powdered sugar, cinnamon apples, strawberry and blueberry purées. my mom had the Mississippi skillet which she said was so amazing- massive portion I was in the mood for lunch so I had got the shrimp poboy, which was absolutely delicious. So, been here a couple of times. They just opened a few weeks ago so they're on the ball, probably full of corporate trainers and management, and things are pretty good. Since the demise of Bennigans, a good montecristo is pretty much non existent around here so I was looking forward to it. The photo on the menu looked different, but I was ordering it anyway. Well, the photo on the menu looked exactly what I got. Menu says battered and fried, but to cut to the chase, what I got was what I would describe as a montecristo made with french toast. No crispy outside, no deep fryer used, but looked just grilled. Maybe this is the "southwestern california" way, I dunno, but even tho the sandwich was pretty good, it wasn't what I was looking for. They serve a huckleberry syrup with it. I asked if there was anything different and the server came back with a starwberry syrup. No jam. I wasn't a fan of either syrups honestly, I ended up using a little packet of strawberry jam on the table. Seasoned, frozen fries were good tho. The sandwich wasn't bad per say, but it wasn't my thing. If you're looking for a Bennigans style MC, you'll have to keep looking. However, the menu is full of all sorts of interesting things for breakfast and lunch. While I didn't care for the sandwich the place overall is a keeper for me, and I will be going back for breakfast and to try some of the other lunch items. The wife and I had to attend an early afternoon funeral so we decided to finally check out huckleberries for breakfast. The restaurant has interesting decor. There is a fake alligator in a cage hanging from the ceiling. The music being played was covers of songs we all know in love, with a Cajun flair. Here in North Arlington our restaurants are influenced by two different groups of people who have come to the area for very different reasons. There are the students that attend UTA and there are thou who come to check out all of the entertainment that is available. It seems that the tourist that come to Arlington are a captive audience for restaurants in the immediate area. A handful of those restaurants don't focus their efforts on the quality of food. They are simply trying to get people fed. I recommend that people who come here to check out Six Flags or the pro sports to take the time to find one of our local restaurants that is simply amazing. Unfortunately, Huckleberry's is in the trying to get people fed category. The restaurant is rather big, but we were seated closely to other people. I am assuming there was only one waitress so they put every one in the same place. I usually give the staff feedback if I'm not impressed. I did not do so this time. Our waitress did a good job. We definitely got what we ordered. The cuisine is interesting. We went to Yellowstone this past summer and they Huckleberry everything everywhere. It's pretty much meat and potatoes in the area of Yellowstone. I was expecting that huckleberries would be a meat and potatoes, a traditional café gone commercial. Yes they do offer a huckleberry muffin, but their cuisine is Cajun. I didn't and still don't understand that set up. My wife and I tried the huckleberry muffin and I do not recommend it. It was as dry as a mummy's tongue. I chose the Cajun skillet and it was decent. It's supposed to be served on a hot skillet. There was a skillet, but hot it was not. He tried substituting his fried green tomatoes for an extra egg and they told us you aren't able to substitute anything- which surprised us since plates are $18. We started with the beignets, which came on top of a compote that tasted canned, and the "beignets" themselves were more like fried pancake bites--not at all what I expected. For entrées, we ordered the crab cake Benedict and the andouille sausage Benedict. Both were missing the Cajun punch I was hoping for--zero seasoning and no depth of flavor. The crab cakes were especially disappointing: instead of fresh, flavorful crab, they tasted overly fishy, more like tuna patties. Even the fried potatoes had no seasoning, and we had to add salt just to make them edible. I really wanted to love this place, but the food didn't live up to the hype.
