The good, the bad and the ugly. I purchased a complete kitchen set (frig, dishwasher, cooktop, oven/microwave) from Dawn who is wonderful and very knowledgeable. The bad, the set I wanted wouldn't be delivered until Fall of 2023 so I went with a different brand that was suppose to be in stock. The ugly, I only received a partial delivery and called to see when the oven/microwave would be delivered. I called the delivery guys and they told me late August/early September (not good at all) So I called the store to find out what happened. Oh it's going to be on Friday's truck. No call, no delivery. I called again and nothing is scheduled or can be seen. I can't see anything until April 17. I started this process in January 2023. read more

Had the perfect experience with Howards. In fact, Estefany was my sales rep and she absolutely crushed it. She was extremely helpful and knowledgable about what we were looking for - it made the whole process easy. Honestly I would gladly go back to Howards for any appliance purchase going forward. Estefany even was able to price match and get our products delivered when promised. I can't say enough great things about her. We had one minor issue with delivery dates and they were on top of it and made sure we were taken care of. Couldn't have asked for better. If Howards stays this way forever then I'm a customer for life. The employees there actually know what they're talking about and you can genuinely ask them questions and they'll be able to help. My wife and I just had a fantastic experience during our purchase of a washer, dryer and dishwasher. We were given a warm and friendly greeting the moment we walked in the door. Our salesperson, George, was absolutely outstanding. He was knowledgeable, gracious and genuine. He never tried to up-sell us, and it was very apparent that he had our best interest in mind. I will say that this was one of the best sales experiences that I've encountered. As the for the store, it too was very impressive. They have a massive selection of merchandise, as well as some very nice kitchen vignettes. We left there late afternoon today and all 3 items will be delivered tomorrow! Do NOT shop at Howard's!!! Please, save yourself time and money. My husband and I were pleased with the purchasing process here.... it was all downhill from there. I I was told I'd be notified once all of the appliances I ordered were in inventory. I was in no rush and preferred everything to be delivered in 1 day. Howard's kept scheduling random deliveries when items weren't available yet. Eventually, I just agreed to a time/date even though half of my order wasn't in stock yet. The day of, I changed plans and set aside 4 hours due to the window of time they requested. It was a Saturday. Nobody showed up. No call, no follow up. I called and was told I'd get a phone call back. Nobody called me back - ever. The next day, I called customer service to cancel my order. Tussaint from Howard's confirmed the order was cancelled and I'd receive a confirmation email and refund within 5-7 days. 3 days later, the salesman (George) called me and said my dishwasher was in stock on ready to be delivered. Seriously!? So, not only was my order not cancelled, I was pressured to keep the order so the sales guy could get his commission. No, thank you. Nobody at this place would take responsibility for the poor customer service. Service reps in the delivery department blamed sales... sales blamed customer service... the cycle continued Honestly, please save yourself the hassle and shop elsewhere. Their prices are comparable to other major appliance stores. Pay the same (or less) and get decent customer service. read more

We needed appliances for our new house we were remodeling and we went to the Howard's in Tustin/Irvine and Estefany was great. It was during the end of Covid so some of the appliances were in short supply, but she was able to get us everything we needed. As the appliances arrived Estefany had them stored until they were all here. As they were to be delivered Howard's discovered that the oven was damaged so Estefany ordered a replacement. Once all of the appliances were installed, we discovered that a part was broken on the refrigerator. We contacted Estefany and she got the part ordered and once it arrived arranged with GE to install it. A great experience overall. read more

We had the pleasure working with Estephany Torres who answered all of our questions, explained all the features, gave us space to walk around and privately discuss decisions and explain the process (delivery, rebates, etc..) we left with a folder with each items specs, receipt, and rebates. Today was delivery with Cain and Joseph! Beyond professional, respectful to property, walked me through all the attachments and why they are used, and cleaned up. Don't use their delivery! They use a 3rd party and they are TERRIBLE. Damaged my house and didn't even let me know. Caught them right when it happened and they shrugged it off saying that it is the risk I take for using their delivery team. Tried calling Howard's when they were still there installing but only their manager can call back and escalate but it takes days! So I'm stuck in an uncomfortable position with tension in the house and them not leaving until signed. Filed a claim with the delivery company (DSI Logistics) and was denied repair. BECAUSE I signed, I released them from all liability?! what was I supposed to do?! They wouldn't leave until signed. Were they expected to spend the nights and wait until Howard calls me back??? Should have read other reviews here, now I'm seeing other delivery problems. Howards needs to cut this company off! I wanted to leave a 5 stars originally because my salesperson George Moawad was absolutely the best. I hope whoever reads this still gives George the recognition he deserves but CUT TIES WITH YOUR DELIVERY COMPANY. In my opinion, they are unprofessional and don't care about their customers at all. I WOULD NOT PURCHASE ANY APPLIANCE WITH THEM. I purchased my Samsung appliance back in October 2020, who told me my shipment ETA was December due to the pandemic. Today is February 6 2021, and Dino the sales rep, had emailed me "Unfortunately the model has been discontinued by Samsung." Mr. Dino: Why couldn't you have told me three months ago? Was this a joke to you? I was without a refrigerator for more than 6 months. If you did not have the model, you should've told me immediately, so I could purchase elsewhere. This really shows your lack of professionalism and is just not right. In fact, Dino did not respond to my phone calls/emails throughout my wait time. I had to actually contact the store manager, before he started to provide with updates on my refrigerator status. Talk about poor customer service..... I understand these are difficult times; however, if you truly cared about your customer, you would've not wasted anyone's time. Honesty is always the best policy. read more

Thanks to being employed during the COVID-19 outbreak and stimulus payments we decided to replace our 14 year old Whirlpool washer and dryer we had bought from Best Buy. As a matter of fact Best Buy is the reason I now go to Howard's. One of the guys from Best Buy was rolling the dryer down the drive unsecured. It slipped forward and landed hard on its feet. We didn't find out till we decided to stack the front loading units a year later that I saw the frame damage underneath. When you go for the lowest price you get what you pay for. I have NEVER had a good experience at Best Buy. We went for the basic Whirlpool front loading pair and so far they're great. Larger capacity, load and go detergent dispenser and new capacitive touch screens. No physical buttons or knobs and the panels begin to remember your settings. Two guys came by, unboxed both units, brought them in and "taaa daaa" they were gone with no damage and set exactly how I wanted them. My only slight issue which prevented me from giving five stars is I ordered them online because of COVID. A guy, who shall remain nameless, called to confirm my order, options and a delivery. Unfortunately, he was in such a big hurry to get off the phone and I had to stop him to tell him what day I was off work and we could accept it. I managed to tell him the day, but them he was gone before I could work out a time. I also wrote to their, "Chat Now" feature to try and confirm a time, but never received a direct answer from that. I did receive an automated call telling me the time on our specified day and it, fortunately, worked out for the best. We'll be going over to the Irvine store for a refrigerator soon, but it will be in person so I can trap a human and not let them get away before I confirm a delivery day and time. Plus, we can't get a bottle of free water over the phone. read more

I had a kitchen refresh being worked on. I came home from a trip and the contractor alerted me that my old stovetop was the wrong size. He suggested I go to Howard's in Irvine. We have had an extremely unpleasant experience with this store. We purchased our first Speed Queen washer and dryer here several months ago. Hands down the worst washer and dryer I have ever used. It is destroying our stuff, leaving pinch marks and gray stains all over our garments and bedding. My silk/cotton sheets look terrible now. I'm traumatized by these wretched machines. I need to launder my stuff but I am afraid of which item they're going to ruin next. It's causing a tremendous amount of stress in my life, which is exactly the opposite of what an appliance is supposed to do. Howard's basically told me it is not their problem because they only have a one week return policy and that I need to contact the manufacturer. Unfortunately I have yet to hear back from Speed Queen and it's been weeks. What kind of customer service is this? I feel like I have been scammed. If this is how they treat their customers after selling them a defective product, I will never shop here again and I would caution others as well. When making large purchases, it's better to find stores that stand by their products and have reasonable return policies. read more

I needed to replace my dryer so I went to Howard's. They came and installed and removed my old dryer. I bought the higher end Electrolux. Since the day it was installed, the dryer has not heated. I called Howard's immediately and they said it must be a manufacturing defect. I asked them to come check out the install, as I had read that this can make the dryer not work correctly. They would not. I called out a company on my own to come and check out the install, they said that the install was fine and they said it was a faulty unit. I called Howard's back (this is all the same week I bought the unit) they said that I had to call the manufacturer. I did, the manufacturer said that because I had just bought it, Howard's should refund or replace for me and they asked me to contact the place I had bought it from. I called Howard's again, this time asking to speak with a manager. I got the same response... I needed to contact the manufacturer. Long story short, I have a dryer that doesn't really dry and neither Howard's nor the manufacturer will help with it. read more

Howards assigned an installation sub contractor to install a stove cooktop involving tile cuts and wood cuts. Installation was marked as complex. The installer arrived unprepared and needed to borrow a number of items from me: a broom, strapping tape to close the box for old stove haul away, my vacuum which they broke, and a contractors bag for the debris. I was surprised they had none of these items with them. Installer cracked vintage tile and chose to repair the cracks with liquid nail of a different color. He also over cut in the front. It looks pretty bad. I have been contacted by Howards to try to make this right. For now, I cannot recommend this Howards because of the installation they hire. I am waiting to see if they stand behind a job when damage occurs. read more

He stays in contact and always quickly responds when I send him an email. He is such a kind soul and really does look out for the best interest and does not try to push to "make a sale". I bought a refrigerator recently and they didn't balanced the refrigerator and when I asked them to come in to redo it. The person said the fridge can't be balanced and the fridge door was uneven, which meant the fridge needed to be replaced. What I'm upset about is that the sales people and the movers keep transferring and shifting responsibility instead of doing their job. And the mover calling in to ask the fridge to be replaced just left without letting me sign the paperwork which is extremely unprofessional. I'm really wondering why this store has a 4 star review. Recently bought a Bosch 800 series fridge from this location. Ordered over the phone. Lee took care of me and was great. He send me a quote and got a delivery booked for the next day. Installation was perfect. Jose and his assistant did the delivery, and were pros. We have a pretty tight gap with the counter and the wall to get into our condos small kitchen. These guys were like neuro surgeons threading through there with no dings. We got the water line installed along with it, everything hooked up perfectly. Overall great experience and less than 24 hours before first phone call and fridge installed in kitchen. read more

My fiance and I had looked at Lowe's, Costco, and Best Buy for a new washer and dryer for our recently leased home. We stopped by here on my fiance's suggestion and man, am I glad we did. Estefany Torres met us at the door and was absolutely stellar throughout the whole experience. After hearing about what we were looking for, she offered us some helpful opinions on different models, then gave us some space while we talked it out. I never once felt like she was pushy or overbearing. I'm instantly turned away the moment I feel like a salesperson is pushing me towards something, but never felt that way once with Estefany. We put a down payment on a washer/dryer tower combo right then and there. A week later, after I went and took measurements of the space, I found out the unit we had just put a deposit on wouldn't fit. Estefany understood completely, refunded my deposit with no issues, and helped us find new units that will actually fit in the laundry area. Not only did she guide us through the process, she helped us find rebates for our units that otherwise I would've never seen. We'll save an extra couple hundred bucks because she took time to show us how to apply. I'll probably spend $10,000 on appliances over the next couple of years, as long as Estefany Torres is at Howard's, it'll be the first and only place I shop. read more
