I replaced my original cooktop with a Viking 5-burner purchased from an appliance store in 2020. The burners never had higher or lower flames despite turning the knobs fully. The gas company suspected the regulator needed to be replaced. OC Repair Master had good Yelp reviews, so I made an appointment. Mel had to order the part directly from Viking. He gave me an exact breakdown of the cost and deducted the diagnosis fee. When he replaced the part, the burners were only a little improved. He said the original regulator did not work correctly. He thought there might be a problem with the gas line, and he came back with an associate that had more gas experience. The line was unblocked, and the burners now work beautifully. The work was done quickly, and Mel & Sergey were very nice. The only downside was that I had to pay by cash or check. Credit cards are not accepted. read more

What can you add to so many five star reviews? another five star review! Our older Samsung dryer has stopped heating. Mel responded promptly. He came out the same day. I've always been suspicious of up charges on parts, Mel showed me the price online the price he was paying. So upfront! The call was on Friday and he came out Sunday morning because we were having road closures Monday through Friday. A few days later after the repair, the dryer stopped heating again. The heating element he replaced was good but a fuse had burnt in the dryer. The burnt fuse was due to workers on the road hitting a powerline and nothing with the initial repair or anything he did. I tried to pay him for the second visit as it required the complete dissemble of the unit , but he refused saying there was a 30 day guarantee. I requested a quote last night for my LG front loading washing machine purchased in 2020. Mel was responsive and gave a good quote. He came today as promised and was polite and respectful to both me and my washing machine - taking it apart carefully and moving it slowly so as not to damage. First time I've seen this much care for an appliance by someone other than me! Few hours after he left, I turn it on and still clicking. I texted him and he has chosen to ignore the text. I've included the text exchange to show he hasn't responded so he doesn't say otherwise. I got the sense from the visit that he is not comfortable and/or does not have expertise w the gas stoves.
