I had an intermittent issue with my Whirlpool washer not filling properly, so I called for service and paid a $65 service-call fee. I appreciated that the technician was able to come out the same day. Before the technician arrived, I had already unplugged the washer and moved it slightly. When he arrived and attempted to run the washer, it was working normally. He then told me the water valve needed to be replaced and quoted approximately $400 for the repair. I did not see the valve being removed or tested, and I was not provided with any test results showing that the valve had failed. I decided not to proceed with the repair. I have since completed five loads without the original problem recurring. Overall, I appreciated the same-day service, but I would have preferred more diagnostic testing before being quoted for a $400 valve replacement. read more

I called to request a time to have someone take a look at my refrigerator. I already pretty much knew what was wrong with it because the same thing happened 3 years ago and we got it repaired thinking it won't happen again for a while, right? This business may have 5 star reviews but their non reply gets them a 1 star. I get it being busy and all, but communication is very important to me. I sent a message July 8th. It was acknowledged that they received it and they were reviewing it. Today it's the 15th of July and no response. Maybe what I explained was not a big enough project to bother with but I'll never know. Fortunately it wasn't a repair that needed immediate attention since it was a garage refrigerator that held overflow drinks and food. They may be a good company to deal with but for this customer I won't be asking them in the future for estimates. Vince, thanks for getting back to me. I appreciate that you explained why you didn't respond to my initial request. Although I understand that you're a one man show , I still feel a 24-48 hr response is still warranted. Maybe Yelp who said that the business is reviewing the request and will usually respond with in 24 hrs need to be notified. That response gives false information about yours or any business. Either way I am changing my 1 star to 4 stars because you reached out and went above and beyond to communicate the reason for no response the first time.
