I would love a fancy-pants new fridge, but the horror stories of breaking down after nine years appears to be true. So we texted, explained the situation, and asked for a tune-up. We were quoted a fair price, Stepan was running a little late and texted when he would arrive. He pulled it out, removed the back, steam-cleaned the coils, and defrosted the drain-pan. He complimented our use of a dedicated surge protector (we get about two blackouts a year). The gaskets are tight and clean, and we will continue to clean the coils that we CAN REACH. All in all, it was worth it to keep it running another fifteen years.

The gas company suspected the regulator needed to be replaced. OC Repair Master had good Yelp reviews, so I made an appointment. Mel had to order the part directly from Viking.
