UPDATE 1/10 I called LG directly and they sent out a technician in 2 days. He immediately diagnosed that my compressor WAS FINE!! So on top of being unprofessional, this company is purposely charging customers for work that is not needed! I was to be charged $750 by this company to replace a part that is working just fine. I called Mike to get advice regarding my 24-year old Whirlpool refrigerator. The freezer was working but the fridge was warm. I figured it was time to buy a new fridge and I was almost out the door when I noticed the Prostar magnet on my fridge. Mike had fixed my 14-year old cooktop last year - he was able to fix it without replacing any parts and saved me any further costly repairs. When I told him I was ready to buy a new refrigerator, he said "No, don't buy a new one." He said it with such strong conviction that I believed he knew what he was talking about and trusted his advice. He also said that if I buy a new fridge, it will probably require repairs in 3-4 years thus costing more money. Instead, he told me to defrost it; it just might need a jump start to get the compressor working. Mike indicated that even if defrosting doesn't work, he would be able to fix it by replacing the compressor which would still save me more money than buying a brand new fridge. Needless to say, I went through the whole process of defrosting and cleaning my fridge. It is back up and running. I guess I have a jewel of a fridge - they don't make them like they used to. My dryer was stuck on the steam mode even though I didn't choose it. This happened late on a Friday night. I realized that the condensed steam was flowing out of my dryer and about to cause a problem. I did everything to stop the steam/water and nothing worked. Had an issue with my rental property refrigerator, the cartridge type ice maker went out. I was hoping it would be an easy plug and play repair just by replacing the cartridge. Unfortunately, the replacement unit I got was not OEM, the wiring harness connection was slightly different. I called Prostar, and Mike who is the coolest service I'd spoke to on the phone said he could be at the property the next morning. Long story short, Mike applied his professional magic to the wiring harness on the new cartridge and got everything working. My tenant is happy to have ice cubes again. Well, Mike saved the day today! Last night 11/16/21, our LG dryer just stopped heating. It turned on, went around, but zero heat. We were up until 2am chatting, with LG, troubleshooting with the manuals, attempting to diagnose our LG Dryer that we bought at Costco in 2017 to no avail. We never had a issue with the dryer until last night. We were a bit frazzled because our son is getting married in 2 days...that added another element of urgency to our situation. Mike said he could be out within a couple of hours, arrived, within the hour, was professional & communicative about the what was wrong with the dryer, replaced the part, and now, it works! Mike even made a suggestion about moving the dryer wall duct at a later date, to make the dryer more efficient. We appreciated his fast response and suggestions. He recommended a dryer duct clean out. We immediately called the company he recommended and they will be out tomorrow to do just that. Mike had our best interest in mind and we took his advice. We could tell he knew what he was talking about. His price was reasonable as well. These days it's very difficult to find a good appliance repair person.
