We've relied on Davis for appliance repairs over the past several years, and he has consistently provided excellent service. He is professional, knowledgeable, responsive, and communicates clearly throughout the process. His prices are always fair and reasonable. Davis first helped us resolve a cooling issue with our Sub-Zero refrigerator. More recently, he repaired our LG dryer by replacing the heating element. Shortly after the repair, our dryer began making loud noises. Davis was quick to respond and came back to investigate. He discovered a separate issue that was completely unrelated to the original heating repair. As a courtesy, he replaced the drum belt at no additional charge. We truly appreciate his professionalism, honesty, fair pricing, excellent workmanship, and commitment to customer service. We highly recommend Davis and will continue to call him for our appliance repair needs! read more

We contacted Davis Repair about our Thermador freezer approximately five months ago. At the time, he was professional and pleasant. I specifically asked whether replacing the recommended parts would actually resolve the problem or whether we would be better off purchasing a new refrigerator. He assured me that once the part and the freezer lock were replaced, the issue would be resolved. Based on that assurance, we followed his recommendations and spent approximately $2,500 on the repairs. Fast-forward, last week, the freezer was again not working properly. I contacted him because, naturally, we were frustrated after having spent that amount of money. Instead of acknowledging our frustration, his response was, "It's not like it broke down in 2 or 3 days, it took 5 months." He came out again last week and charged us another $658. Unfortunately, the freezer still did not work properly after the service. The check has already been cashed, and we have now decided to purchase a new refrigerator. What is most disappointing to me is not simply the money we spent, but the fact that I specifically asked five months ago whether we should repair the refrigerator or replace it. I relied on his professional recommendation, spent approximately $2,500 following that recommendation, and ultimately ended up needing a new refrigerator anyway. I have already communicated my concerns to him and left the decision regarding the most recent payment with him. In my view, when a customer spends thousands of dollars following a repair recommendation and the underlying problem ultimately remains unresolved, it is reasonable to expect the service provider to acknowledge the customer's frustration and stand behind the work. My experience was that the interaction was pleasant as long as everything was going according to his expectations, but when I raised concerns about the results of the repair, I felt my frustration was not handled professionally. I am sharing this experience so other customers can make an informed decision before spending a significant amount of money on repairs for a Thermador refrigerator or freezer and I wish instead of relying on his advice I researched the issue more to see that maybe repair was not the way to go. read more

Everything about dealing with Davis Appliance Repair was great. I was able to book an appointment late at night, when no real person would answer. They have an excellent on-line booking system. The tech arrived within the expected time and went right to work. He had my fridge diagnosed within 15 minutes, gave me the quote, then made the required repairs in another 15 minutes. These guys are good !!! NOTE: I was told to wait until morning before I put anything in the fridge. If I experience any issues, I'll let you know...however, their repair comes with a 1 year warranty, so I'll sleep good tonight. read more

We have used Davis Appliance Repair a few times now and they have never let us down! We discovered extensive rust damage on the backs of our fridge and freezer during a kitchen renovation and thought we would have to get new ones. Davis was able to save us thousands by removing the rust, sealing and insulating the freezer to prevent the rust issue from recurring. Super happy with the service and results! Davis Appliance Repair - After repair - Appliances & Repair Near Me

David's knowledge, skills, and professionalism deserve 5 stars. I had a broken belt on the washer and a clogged dishwasher, and he fixed both in about an hour. The cost, however, was outrageous! $300 per appliance, and the only part that was needed was a belt (which I was charged $106 for). The labor fees were insane, but if I declined to follow through with the repairs, I would be on the hook for the $198 diagnostic fee ($99 per appliance even though it was the same visit). Just to clarify, the service fee is NOT applied toward the total as I was told on the phone- it's simply waived, so don't expect to have the amount removed from the final bill. This was by far the most expensive appliance repair company I've ever used, and as much as I liked David's work, it's a one and done for me. read more

Great service and fast appointments! Quick assessment, had parts with him so the repair was done immediately. Thanks so much read more

My GE washer wasn't spinning/draining, I tried some YouTube fixes but couldn't get it to work. I called Davis Appliance Repair on a Friday and made an appointment for Monday. I received a call before the technician arrived and after he diagnosed the issue (band was worn out!), he gave me a quote and was able to replace the band and fix the washer. There is a diagnostic fee that goes toward the cost of the repair and the service was well worth it! read more

Davis came to look at my 20-year old SubZero. Davis was very knowledgeable and informative. He explained my choices to either just add freon to a freezer compressor that was failing, or get a new compressor now. I felt very confident in his work and made the choice to replace the 20-year-old compressor. Not a bad investment since this SubZero is from 2005 and will likely last many more years with competent service now and again. Thank you, Davis. read more

I had an issue with my built-in KitchenAid Refrigerator where the freezer was cold but the fridge was getting warn. Davis was very responsive. I had Davis come out to service my 26 year old refrigerator when it stopped working. He did a full inspection, he was knowledgeable, and honest about what needed to be done. His pricing is lower than other quotes I received. He responded quickly, and came out to fix issues within a day. Although my fridge needed more maintenance, he didn't over sell me on the first visit. He was readily available to help until it worked properly. My fridge is now working great! Look no further! read more

Max saves the day! I have dual ovens that haven't been working for months. Error code indicated a fan needed replacing. The first company I called replaced the fan. Still got an error. Then replaced the circuit board. Still got the error. They basically told me they don't know what the problem is and gave up. I then called Davis Appliance. Max came out and figured out that the new fan was missing a piece that connects to the circuit board that was removed by the tech from the previous company. And that did the trick. I was thinking I'd have to buy new ovens. What a relief. Thanks, Max! read more

I had a dryer that the knob fell off. They came promptly and told me I needed a replacement part. They ordered it and were back the next business day because they came on a Saturday. They were very professional and fixed my problem quickly. Will definitely use them again. read more

The service call fee was $99 in case anyone is comparing costs. Max was awesome!! He fixed our Jenn Air oven on the first visit and without any new parts! Our oven is old, and the size is not very common, so only a very few new ovens would fit our cabinet opening, which is why it was really important that we were able to get the oven (broiler) fixed. We picked Davis Appliances because we saw all the good reviews about Max and he delivered. I think Max could fix anything. We will gladly be referring all our friends, family, and neighbors to Max. read more

My oven died and I needed help, fast. Davis Appliance was the one and only place I called and, boy, am I glad I did! Max just left after instantly diagnosing the problem and replacing the igniter on my 42 year old oven. He showed up on time, is a friendly, happy guy and, a real worker - clean, efficient service at a very reasonable price. I did not want a new oven but was afraid it was going to have to happen. Max saved the day with a minimum of muss and fuss. It was actually fun! Even my nervous little dog liked him. :) THANK YOU, Davis Appliance, and special thanks to Max! read more

David came to my home to assess trouble with my microwave. This company was my "second opinion" as the first estimate seemed really high and the first person who came tried to upsell me on other work that I didn't need. David's estimate was fair and close to what I expected. I appreciated the honest discussion as to whether or not repair was better or replacement. He also checked out my wash machine which ended up as running perfectly. With learning how it is supposed to work, we can have realistic expectations for its use. I appreciate the education on both units and would recommend David and this company. read more

This company is so responsive. They called me back same day, set up an inspection for my dryer that stopped working. They have a $99 inspection fee that is waived if you opt to get the repair done through them. They knew exactly what the problem was, for my dryer not producing hot air and not advancing the dryer timer! They fixed it on the spot. They keep their word with appointment times too! I loved the fact that I called on a Monday, got a repair appt next day and repair - all in a single visit! Grateful they saved me from having to buy a brand new dryer!!! Thanks to the excellent service and expertise by Davis!!! read more

Despite an arrogant and rude service agent, we ordered a part for our thermador freezer. We called multiple times over a 2 month period and they said they would let us know when it came in.
