My issue was solely with the price I was caught off guard and was not expecting the repair to be $495 for dryer which seemed so high but they were already here and I was flustered so I said yes. Afterwards I felt so uneasy about it I called 3 other dryer companies and received quotes of $265, $285, and $295 for the exact same scope of work. So I paid $200 more I'm so mad at myself. I should have done my homework and feel stupid for not but lesson learned, that's on me but it would be nice if they had competitive pricing. I chose them solely based on yelp reviews. Our electric dryer was running but was no longer producing any heat. After waiting days to make sure it wasnt just a short, we decided to send a few messages to request a quote. Appliance Techie was one of the first to respond, and was able to send someone out the following day (a Saturday) to diagnose our problem. The following day the technician called when he was about 20 minutes away. After taking a look, he showed us the root of the problem. An estimate was give for parts and labor totaling about $340ish. YES! I finally found a fantastic appliance repair company. My dryer was on the fritz and I called Appliance Techie because their reviews weren't just 5-Star, their customers were really ecstatic about them. They called me back within 10 minutes or so (awesome), and were able to fit me in same day (rare treat). Yury & Egor called be 15 minutes before they arrived (important since I have to call me security guard to let them in). These two gentlemen performed an outstanding job - not only did they repair my dryer (thankfully, it was just a defective switch, and not the circuit board), they also vacuumed (from the inside) all the lint in the crevices that the lint catcher missed. Inspired by their thoroughness, I'm scheduling them back to replace my rubber seals on my washer and refrigerator (my seals are worn, frayed and have some mildew on them...yuck). Technicians came out to service my professional range as it was not keeping a consistent temperature. After doing a diagnostic on the range, they did not find any issues. They advised me to pre-heat the oven with the convection fan as that should resolve the issue. After several uses, it has, in fact, worked! Their honesty is very much appreciated. After much discussion of the possible repair, Edgar advised us it would be a waste of money to have his men to come out to repair the washer. The washer is non repairable. I received a phone call prior to my appointment from the technician letting me know they were 15 minutes away. Two young men showed up at my home, and diagnosed the problem with my refrigerator within a few minutes. They recommended we get a new fridge due to the nature of the issue, and the repair costs being just short of the cost of a new fridge. The customer service of these men was phenomenal, they were polite and professional. They also did not charge me for the service call, which I was as blown away by. That's not something that happens too often this day in age. My neighbor was over at the Tim and couldn't believe it. First off, the manager/owner Yana was super fast in terms of providing me a quote and update. She was very friendly, professional, and totally on top of things. David- he was my assigned technician and really helpful with the process. Showed up on time, knowledgeable, and friendly. We have an older LG refrigerator/freezer and apparently many companies don't service them. The ice maker was having an issue and it could have been the filter, freon, or need to just replace the entire ice box itself. Without fully knowing, I was willing to invest in the assessment fee. Took about 5 minutes and David was able to isolate that it was a part that needed to be replaced. It cost about $300, but they were able to apply the Yelp voucher and the part was in stock. David came back the next day and properly installed everything. My wife and I have peace of mind as the part has a warranty for 90 days (I declined the extended warranty) and everything is working properly again. Great service from Yana and David. I highly recommend and would use again if I ever have a refrigerator/freezer issue. read more
