Excellent experience- David made it possible for a smooth transaction. He found the perfect dishwasher for me on-site, completed the sale, and helped to load it in the vehicle. I came across Howard's, which I never had an opportunity to purchase from since this is my first home I'm buying appliances for. I called and spoke to Lee Trueblood, who was very helpful in the process. Answered all of my questions over the phone and set me up for delivery. Very professional and convenient since I didn't even have to order online or step foot in the store. Delivered on the day that was scheduled, and they even got to bring it up to my kitchen (located on the second floor) with no issues, or scratches on the walls. While he expected the delivery to take a couple of weeks, the microwave actually arrived in about a week so he called me and scheduled the installation. Our experience has been beyond frustrating with the Howard's in Tustin/Irvine. We purchased a new refrigerator on 2/22 for delivery on 2/24. We got the confirmation call that the delivery was coming, but it never showed up. We called to find out what happened and were told to contact our sales rep. Estephany said she didn't know why, but it had been cancelled, and we re-scheduled for 2/28. On 2/28 the delivery truck showed up with a damaged open-box item, which we refused. We attempted t contact Estephany via e-mail and phone (no answer, and she had previously informed us that she cannot access her voicemail since moving to the new store). In the meantime, the delivery center called and said that we would be re-scheduled for the correct (new) refrigerator on 3/1. At 7:30 p.m. on 2/28, we still did not have confirmation for the next day, so we called back to the delivery center, and were informed that they had no idea what we were talking about with the delivery for 3/1. We have repeatedly attempted to call the Tustin/Irvine store, but keep getting hung up on. The delivery center informed us that the store will not answer calls tonight because they are " having an event." read more

She was attentive, experienced and consistently followed up with emails, texts, including photos, and answered all of my questions... all of this, without me even stepping into the store. I initially came in to Howards to get some ideas on appliances for my kitchen upgrade. The challenge was to find a refrigerator that was wide enough to fit in the space built in to the cabinets without leaving ugly gaps on each side, but not so tall that the hinges would block the cabinets above. Sounds easy, right? No. My kitchen has just strange enough measurements that this seemed next to impossible. I would have to settle for something either too short, too narrow, or remove the upper cabinets. Yuck. Not impossible after all, thanks to Dawn! She understood exactly what I was looking for and immediately grabbed her tape measure and went to work. She really listened to what I wanted and patiently measured and re-measured until she found a refrigerator that met all of my specifications (yay!). She then showed me options for the dishwasher, microwave and range, including the features and benefits of each. It is obvious that she really knows the products very well - has anyone ever explained to you the difference in decibels between dishwasher models? Cool! Remember, I was just planning to look and get ideas. However I realized that no way was I going to find another salesperson as knowledgeable and helpful, and I was happy with the pricing as well. That made the decision to buy that day an easy one. Actually, the whole transaction was really very simple. Dawn scheduled delivery for a day/time that fit within my schedule as well as arranged for installation of the dishwasher and microwave for the following weekend (done by a separate contractor). The only issue occurred at the time of the dishwasher installation, when I realized that that the delivery team did not leave the dishwasher installation kit I paid for. The installer would sell me one, but at a higher price. One call to Dawn and she made it right, arranging for the installer to provide one he had on his truck at no cost to me, and a replacement would be sent to his warehouse. I can't say that the new shiny things have improved my kitchen skills, but the next time I need any sort of appliance I know exactly where I am going. read more

Don't buy appliances here. We purchased a washer and drier and paid for delivery and setup. They delivered it, turned it on and left. No joke 5 minutes later the machine started leaking from the bottom. Called them back out and they said it's not their problem and to call a plumber. So we called a plumber who indicated no leaks and it was a fault machine. Spoke to two managers at Howard's who finally agreed to send someone out who confirmed it was a faulty machine. Fine, they replaced it and we went on our way. One month and one day later machine broke- spin cycle will not work. We purchased a 5 year warranty so called Howard's again. They let us know that because it's within the first 90 days they won't cover it and we need to speak with Samsung directly. I've now been sitting on the phone with Samsung for 2 hours where they don't have any available appointments so I'll need to wait until an appointment opens up, wait until the 90 days is over so Howard's warranty can fix it or pay for it out of pocket. Howard's reps don't care, they sold a unit and have washed their hands of it. So I'd just save the money and buy from Costco. read more

I had my dishwasher go out without any warning and decided to get a new one, mine was 16 years old. I went to Howards on the advice of a friend and the experience was wonderful. Estefany greeted us when we came in and help us pick out the dishwasher we need while we were at her desk doing the paperwork she gave us a bottle of cold water and answered all our questions. We booked the delivery and install for 2 days later. we got a call the next morning with the time and confirming everything. The morning they were to deliver we got a call from the delivery person asking if they could come earlier and we said yes they showed when they said they would and had the old one removed and the new on installed and tested in an hour. I called up Howard's late Saturday & Gary was able to quickly find the stove top I was looking for in their system. He had it delivered to the Irvine store so that I could pick it up on Mon Dec 23rd. We were so happy to have a beautiful new functioning stove for Christmas! Howard's was the only store in So CAL that had it in stock & they had the best price out of Sears, Lowes, Home Depot, & the Amazon retailers! I originally ordered the stove about 3 weeks ago from an Amazon seller, since all the local major retailers I had called said it was on backorder and wouldn't be available until mid January. The Amazon order was delayed in transit & it looked like UPS had dropped it down a flight of stairs by the time we received it. I almost kept it, because I was so upset that we would not have a stove for Christmas. But I returned it & went searching on yelp and found Howard's. We ordered a gas wall oven by mistake. Howards took it back no problem and we ordered an electric wall oven. David and Lee were very helpful and pleasant to deal with. Our only dissatisfaction came with the delivery. The delivery workers were pleasant, but they showed up 3 hours late (about 730 at night) and were installing until about 10 pm!!! They were very tired as we were their last stop and we felt like they just wanted to go home! They got it installed and had to do some cuts to make it fit, but it didn't seem they had the appropriate tools and it wasnt a very professional finish. I bought a small condo and needed a washer/dryer for a tiny utility closet. I purchased two sets from other stores. The first one was faulty and got sent back. The second set was for a 220v set up. I needed 110v. Why didn't the salesperson tell me that it was 220v? I walked into Howard's in Irvine and was greeted by Dawn. This would really be a 1 star review but due to Covid I'll give a 1 star benefit. The reality is that Howard's is quick to take your money and they tell you great promises of customer service - but four months into taking all my money - I still don't have a product. I ordered in June with promises of a 3 week wait for appliances. Every month since then it has been pushed to August then September and now October. Their ETAs don't mean a thing and the company doesn't even bother to call you and update you. You have to keep tabs on them. My sales rep George went from being super nice and willing to do anything to earn my business to down right defensive and non-existent. I would cancel my order but I'm stuck as I need to complete this order to qualify for a manufacturer rebate. So frustrating. AVOID Howard's during this time or double check delivery times or you'll be stuck with your home projects. Oh and one more thing - there hasn't been any attempt to contact me or offer any sort of apology or compensation for holding my $$$$. read more

My wife and I bought our kitchen appliances package from here for a great price. However, what really gives this place 5 stars was the customer service. About 9 months after we bought the appliances, there was still a manufacturer rebate I had not received. I called Howard's and told them the situation. The manager, Mike, called the manufacturer for me and I ended up getting my rebate a few weeks later. He later called me to make sure that I received it and apologized on behalf of the manufacturer. I've been given the run-around before trying to get rebates. This could have been a repeat, but Mike did a great job handling the situation for me.
