I got a wax with Amanda and loved her!! I'd definitely go back. The only part that's questionable is that you lay on a plastic feeling sheet that's wiped down rather than a new clean sheet - it made my skin get super sweaty and gross, and though it was Clorox wiped down, I'm not convinced how thoroughly / how sanitary it is. She recommended some product which I bought and so far am happy with. Nice and clean in the lobby. Apparently they used to do a student discount, but don't in the summer because people aren't in school? Which is funny because I'm only in Baltimore for summer courses. So that was a bummer, but I guess you're also not allowed to get bummed about not getting a discount ha! read more

I can't say enough wonderful things about Rebecca and HotWax!!! She makes you feel so comfortable and at ease. I am so glad I decided to get my services done with her. I got both a signature facial and a Brazilian wax done by her. The facial was so divine and relaxing. My skin has become so much smoother and clearer just from one session! Between her exemplary service and knowledge of the Dermalogica products, my face has never looked better. I was struggling with acne, and am so pleased with the way I look after becoming a regular at HotWax. Rebecca also waxes my eyebrows- and again, I can't sing her praises enough! I have thick eyebrows, and have never been completely satisfied with the way other people have shaped them (but I HATE tweezing, so doing it myself was never an option). The pain is minimal, the shape is great, and her waxing skills are so on point that the dreaded tweezers (seriously, I hate them) are hardly, if at all, needed afterwards. First if all, it's open on Sunday! This is not your usual cheap nail salon that's open on Sundays, either! Mittal was relatively quick and lighthearted about my messy brows and bikini area. I loved her!i had facial waxing done and then she quickly threaded the smaller and more stubborn hairs which was a great combo for those that prefer wax to thread but also get small strays that the wax never gets. The place is small, bright, and clean and the only minor complaint I have is that when you're lying on your back and staring at the ceiling the overhead lights are really harsh. Had my first Brazilian here...can't say I wasn't nervous since I have Spanish hair and have been shaving for over a decade. Rebecca made me feel comfortable and she promised if I gave it at least 3 tries that I wouldn't ever go back to shaving. She was done within 20 minutes and i loved the results. The results lasted for a lot longer than I anticipated. I waited a little over 3 weeks until I came back and this time I had an appointment with Robin..Rebecca was right. It wasn't half as painful (still super manageable) and Robin talked through the whole thing keeping my mind at ease. I simply loved Robins personality and humor! My first time she seemed put off that I didn't know their method of waxing- I've never laid on the end of the table with legs hanging off before and I've been waxed in lots of different cities!
