Hotwax is truly the place to go in Baltimore for not only for a great wax experience that is affordable, but also for facials, lash works, make-up, and more. In the two years that I have been coming here, I am convinced that Becky has assembled the greatest, best experienced, and most fun team in Baltimore, barring none. They use the best and safest materials, with towels changed during the same service, LED lights, and absolutely NO double dipping. From when one arrives, they ask of how they can make your experience the most comfortable. Today I was feeling hot chocolatey. It is very convenient to schedule an appointment, there is parking adjacent the building, and there's also lots to do on 36th Street afterwards! read more

Wax was fast but the girl was on her phone and didn't offer to put paper down on the table. My first time she seemed put off that I didn't know their method of waxing- I've never laid on the end of the table with legs hanging off before and I've been waxed in lots of different cities! Went back a second time and it was uncomfortable again. Not going back :( read more

Never thought I would say that I enjoy getting a Brazilian wax...but here I am. Brittany is extremely professional and efficient. It is rare that I spend more than 10-15 minutes getting a wax. For a service that can be very awkward and unenjoyable, she makes it fast and as pain free as possible. I thought I would only try it a couple times and then stop, but I keep going back. Great service, clean facility, and personable staff. Definitely recommend! read more

This was my first time getting a Brazilian wax. I was so nervous but Robin made me feel so at ease! It really wasn't that bad. I highly recommend them! read more

I have always had a great experience here. Most recently with Lindsey, she was friendly, efficient, clean, and professional. I was in and out in 10 minutes but it didn't feel rushed and it was a comfortable experience. Will definitely be returning here regularly. I only wish their prices were more affordable (though apparently they did just reduce their prices). read more

Found Rebecca and her business thanks to Yelp. I used her website to book a Brazilian wax and it was very user-friendly. I love that she doesn't require card information to hold the appointment (at least not for waxes). And she's so friendly and easy to talk to that the time flew by. I was a bit nervous with this wax as I just had a baby via c-section 6 weeks ago but she's a pro and took care of that area with no problems. I'll definitely be back! read more

I've never had a wax before so was nervous, but Robin was amazing! She is so incredibly nice and totally made me comfortable! She did such a good job! I will definitely be back! read more

Not the best, but not the worst. I'm personally not a fan of the plastic mat and some of my estheticians were really talkative and some seemed like they were in a horrible mood. Personally, chatting always keeps me distracted from the pain with a wax. I found some of the bikini waxes I had here super painful. read more

Had my 1st appointment with Tara and can tell you she is the best I am very sceptical seeing someone new but from the moment she walked in she was confident and professional. I had a Brazilian and let's face it takes a lot to put a guy at ease but she made me comfortable from the 1st minute and never skipped a beat kept the conversation flowing and was over before I noticed. All pain free and didn't miss a hair already booked my next appointment read more

The most thorough, pain-free wax I've gotten in the Baltimore area. I highly recommend Rebecca --she was friendly, made me feel comfortable and did not try to push products at me. They also offer free parking, which is really convenient. The only thing I was uncomfortable with was that they don't use disposable sheets for each new client, and instead wipe down the area. read more

Waxing is an awful awful thing...however my experience at Hot Wax with Becky has been awesome..she's friendly, professional and great at her job. Five stars! read more

I had Amanda do my Brazilian wax, and she did a phenomenal job! She's very professional, helped make the pain a little easier and she didn't miss a spot! I've also had Rebecca do my wax and she's awesome too, I highly recommend this business for waxing. read more

I usually don't do reviews but I was very unhappy with my visit today. I went in for brow henna and was told it would stain the skin along with the hair. Not the case at all. The sparse parts of my brow are still bare and the henna lines are uneven. What upsets me the most is when i received threading I asked for my brows not to be thinned, they still were and much thinner (and uneven) than before I came in. The process seemed very rushed and there was no explanation of the brow henna, even though I mentioned I was nervous. $60 wasted and here's to hoping my brows can grow back to how they were. read more

I had a facial by Amanda and it was amazing. She took the time to ask a lot of questions about my skin and I really feel like it showed in the end result - my skin looked and felt amazing! I also told her I was hoping for a relaxing experience and she delivered with an amazing face massage that almost put me to sleep (and a bonus hand massage while my mask was drying!) I will definitely be back. read more

Purchased a groupon for 3 waxes and I am so happy I did! Becky is a sweetheart. Very professional and will make you feel comfortable during what could be an awkward experience. A bikini or Brazilian wax is no walk in the park but it was less painful than other waxes I have had. Very clean and hygienic too. Scheduling is via an online system and I was happy to see Saturday appointment times. All in all I am happy to have bought the 3 pack and will probably return after I use up my groupons. They are currently located in a salon collective in hampden but she mentioned they will be moving locations to the nearby bikram yoga studio in September and that location will have free parking. read more

Needed a wax before vacation and decided to try HotWax for the first time. I got a tight bikini and was very pleased with her speed and willingness to work with me being nervous. The ease of booking and having an actual parking lot will keep me coming back too! read more

I did not have a positive experience here. The individual giving the wax was not friendly and did not make me feel comfortable. This was my third time getting a wax and I let them know that and the individual was rude and rushing the process. Based on my two experiences going here I have decided not to return. read more

I wish I could give HotWax more stars. The BEST wax ever. Becky is professional, makes you comfortable and waxes you with minimal pain. The space is very clean. Becky and the rest of her team are also super friendly and it's easy to make conversation -- a plus to distract you from the waxing ;) I didn't realize how lucky I was while living in Baltimore -- I have since moved to Philly and have been searching for a waxing place -- have had no luck so far. In short, I highly recommend HotWax! Wish I could go back, am almost considering a day trip to Baltimore for a wax - miss you Becky and the rest of the HotWax team! read more

I've had three appointments with Becky for waxing. Her prices are competitive, she offers online booking, she is punctual, and she is friendly. I also have been a client of the adjoined salon, for years, Becky and the staff of the salon, will work together to coordinate appointments, which means less appointments for me, overall. I love this. Her studio is lovely and clean. I highly recommend the services of Hot Wax, LLC. read more

So happy to have found Rebecca! Went in for my second Brazilian of my life, but it might as well have just been my first. Rebecca made me feel very comfortable despite the pain and awkwardness of having your hair ripped out. I cannot recommend her enough, and I plan on being a regular! read more

Seriously, Becky is SO kind and very knowledgable. I went to get my eyelashes tinted and the service was very relaxing, but she ended up getting the dye on my face and one of my favorite shirts. She was not very apologetic about it and when I asked if it will come out she said "I hope" not knowing how to take care of it. I've washed it a few times and it isn't budging :( I get my lashes done fairly often and the color she applied only lasted about a week on my lashes (it usually lasts 4 for me). It wasn't worth the white shirt turning brown at the neck which I'm really upset about. It stinks because she is so nice, and her prices are really great, but I probably won't return. read more

So glad that I found a place to go with fair prices, educated staff, and quick appointments. Will be coming back! I won't go anywhere else for my Brazilians. Becky makes sure to get ALL hair ;) Just make sure it's grown out. read more

I can't tell you how happy I am that we found Becky! She's so warm and welcoming and her place is so relaxing and calming. I'm super picky about my eyebrows but since going here I'll never go anywhere else. I also spray tanned before my wedding which came out amazing! I highly recommend all of her services and cannot wait to get a facial. read more

Becky is so friendly, professional...and fast, which is really the most important thing when you are getting hair ripped out of your body! :) read more

Becky is a wonderful, knowledgable aesthetician. My eyebrows are full and perfectly shaped now because of her and my face feels incredible and looks so much healthier after a facial. And she's so easy to talk to. The woman knows her stuff. read more

I always have fantastic waxing experience with Lindsay and the rest of the staff. They are professional, efficient and always make a seemingly awkward situation completely comfortable. read more

Went overseas for several months...with no waxing! Needless to say, when it was time to have one again I needed a professional champ. Amanda came to my rescue in many ways: first she scheduled me in on a moment's notice. Second, she made me feel super comfortable like we were besties right away. Third, and most importantly - she ROCKED the whole Brazillian waxing process...which is no walk in the park, mind you... BUT she was quick, professional, detailed and thorough in her process. I was in and outta there in less than 30 minutes! I made a new friend and found an absolute gem to handle my business from now on! read more

Robin at Hot Wax is AMAZING! I go there for Brazilians, underarms and legs. I used to go to euro wax center and I would always have several painful ingrown hairs despite using their serum, and would need to go back every four weeks for a new wax because there would be a lot of growth. Since I've been seeing Robin at Hot Wax I literally stopped getting ingrown hairs (she recommended a life changing roll on serum), she thoroughly waxes where now I can go nearly six to seven weeks between waxes (and even then it's very little hair), and she is just so pleasant! On top of it all her method and attention to detail make what is usually painful not that bad at all. Waxes are usually not fun experiences, but I have to say that I look forward to seeing Robin at Hot Wax. If you're looking for a place with experts who care about your comfort and are knowledgeable about skincare, come here! read more

I highly recommend Amanda Elaine for any of your waxing needs...whether you are a newbie or a regular waxer. She knows all of the state of the art techniques and is highly proficient. And as my friend said she is painless and efficient....and let me add thorough. After the first wax I will be a regular. Check this place out and ask for Amanda! read more

I highly recommend Heather Hudgins, she is an amazing aesthetician and a master at her craft! She is the most gentle and efficient when it comes to waxing. She makes sure my brows are perfect and I will only let her do them from this day forward. She also told me where to let them grow in and they look the best they ever have! She also is knowledgeable and gave me the best facial for my sensitive skin type! My skin looks beautiful thanks to Heather! Do yourself a favor and go see Heather! read more

I am so disappointed in the services o received. I made an appointment for a anti aging facial. Mittal suggested a dermaplane and chemical peel. I went ahead and let her do it. The facial was not at all relaxing, there was not a noticeable difference in my skin, and I ended up with 3 cuts on my forehead. I also took her recommendation on a facial product for under my eyes. Needless to say, I've been using it as directed, and thete is no difference. In addition to this, my daughter went in the same day for an eyebrow wax and tint. Mittal threaded my daughters eyebrows without asking, and the tint lasted less than a week, as did mine I had done a week ago. My daughter had to go and get her brows redone somewhere else, in time for her wedding this week. I was told the owner would reach out to me, and have heard nothing. I guess spending over $500 with them, doesn't warrant a call back to make things right. read more

I came here for Dermaplanning to help with hyper pigmentation on my nose. 2 yrs ago, Mittal did my lashes and mentioned she could fix the hyper pigmentation. I didn't take her up on it then. Recently I feel like the brown spot on my nose got even more noticeable and I was sad seeing it in pictures (especially bad in severe lighting) and in the mirror everyday. I wish I would have listened to Mittal earlier. I was so amazed by the results! When I looked in the mirror after she finished, I started to cry. I still can't believe it, but it's barely even visible now. I was so excited, I told Mittal I would buy all the products she had to recommend! After my arm full of products almost doubled my bill, I was embarrassed I had to take that statement back. She was so sweet and understanding. She didn't want to pressure me at all, only give me the best service possible. I am so beyond grateful for this experience. I had never done dermaplanning, but I am blown away by how my skin looks and feels. I'll be back Hot Wax! I'll be back, Mittal! Thank you!! read more

I'm so happy to have found this place and especially thrilled with the services I've received from Mittal. I've gotten a wax and gone twice for eyebrow threading + henna tint. She does a phenomenal job every time - not to mention she's incredibly warm and friendly! I wish I could give her more than 5 stars. She's the best! read more

I began coming to Becky in February of this year. Even with snow storms, she was diligent with her appointments. Her customer service is EXCEPTIONAL; not only is she personable and professional, she is accommodating and takes her business serious! She wants to make sure you are satisfied with your service and goes above and beyond to make sure your experience is up to both your standards and hers. I have had both facial services and waxing services and would highly recommend anyone for both. Becky is quick and efficient, and you can't beat the warm and cozy atmosphere that matches her personality. As a previous client of a waxing chain that was stoic, cold and impersonal with a high turnover rate, it was a great transition for me to to see the same person at each appointment who is so warm and welcoming. read more

I was obsessed with this place for years before I moved out of state, and I was so happy to be able to get in when I was back in town. Rebecca knows her stuff and runs an amazing business. Best Brazilian wax I have ever had - so fast, honestly not too painful, and very thorough. She is so kind and talks you through everything, and is great at distracting you with conversation! She has also hooked me up with some amazing skincare, giving me consultations, helping me develop a routine, and selling me awesome products that have actually made a difference. HotWax is a go-to... I would trust them with my life!!! read more

I had one waxing experience before I came here and it was horrifying. I got a Brazilian from Rebecca, and it was so so much better then the last place. She really takes into account skin types along with comfortability of whoever she is working with. I would definitely recommend this to anyone getting waxed, and I will definitely be returning! read more

Robyn was FANTASTIC!! Only my 2nd brazillian and the 1st was years ago. She not only did an amazing wax job, but her bedside manner was impeccable. She made me feel comfortable in the most UNcomfortable positions LOL! Clean, quiet, welcoming space. Definitely going back, she's a keeper!! read more

I have been seeing Heather for years, and she gets it right every time. She fixed my eyebrows when I butchered them myself and never judged me for it lol. She is there on Sunday's and she's so easy to work with. She's funny, kind and understanding. Always patient and knowledgable. Hot wax is located inside the yoga tree on the avenue. There is a lot in the back to park in so it's never a problem to find a spot. Love Heather and love hot wax! read more

I had my first Brazilian waxing session with Robin yesterday, 5 stars!!! She is fantastic. Great conversationalist, which helps calms the nerves, supportive (always checking in) and very skilled. I've been to many waxing salons as I've moved a bunch and feel that Robin is at the top. Great technique, quick and clean. Very pleased!!! read more
